2. One Direction & Meeting For The First Time

*Casey's P.O.V*

It was finally Friday and I was currently sat on a train that was taking me from Wiltshire to London. I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks, something I shared with Zoe, and I hated trains but I was getting better as I got older and this was the only way I was going to get to Joe's place so I didn't really have a choice.

I was wearing a light blue crepe cut out crop top, a simple black skater skirt and a pair of pink high top converse, along with a set of boat-themed bracelets with anchor and ship wheel charms. My hair was curled and my makeup was done like usual. My phone was sporting a glittery unicorn case and I had my black leather backpack hanging off my shoulder.

I spent most of the journey listening to music and staring out the window, watching the world whizz by. Before I knew it, the train conductor was announcing that this was the last stop in London and it was time for me to get off. I made sure I hadn't left anything behind before getting off the train as quickly as possible, not wanting to get caught in a crowd or anything. I looked around, trying to find Joe but failing so I decided to call him. He answered in seconds.

"Hey, sis."

"Hey, I just got off the train. Where are you?" I asked and he didn't reply, "Joe? Are you still there?" Suddenly, someone tapped me on the shoulder and I spun round, ready to attack, only to see my brother.

"Joe!" I squealed, going in for a hug. He lifted me up and spun me round, making me giggle. I hadn't seen him since he moved out two months ago.

"How was the train?" He asked me after he put me down.

"Quite nerve-racking but I coped." I replied.

"Good." Joe smiled. We then walked to his car and he drove us back to his and Caspar's flat. This would be the first time I was seeing it since they properly decorated it.

"Welcome to the lad pad!" Joe yelled, spreading his arms out as we walked into the apartment.

"Nice place you got here." I giggled, looking around as he took me up to the lounge/kitchen, where we found Caspar playing video games.

"Casey!" He screamed, running over and crushing me in a hug. Me and Caspar had met before and we were pretty good friends.

"It's great to see you again, Caspar, but I would like to breath." I joked.

"Sorry." He laughed, letting me go.

"Zoe, Alfie and Marcus should be here soon," Joe told me, "And then Louise and Dan will probably get here last."

"Dan?" I asked, confused. I knew Marcus and Louise but I didn't know anyone called Dan. The only Dan I could think of was...

"Yeah, Dan Howell." Joe told me and my eyes almost popped out of my head. Dan Howell. Dan Howell was coming with us to the concert. Dan Howell was coming here. I was going to meet Dan Howell, the guy I've been watching on YouTube for nearly five years and would probably make a fool out of myself in front of.

"Are you alright, Case?" Joe looked at me, slightly concerned.

"Um, yeah, it's just... I've never met Dan before, have I?"

"No, but don't worry. He's a nice guy." He assured me. I didn't really have time to worry about it anymore, as Zoe, Alfie and Marcus arrived at that very moment.

"Zoe!" I grinned, running over to my sister and giving her a hug. I then hugged Alfie before greeting Marcus.

"Hey, Marcus." I smiled up at the dirty blonde.

"Hey, Casey." He smiled back at me. Me, Zoe and Alfie sat down at the table while Joe and Marcus played some Foosball and Zoe started vlogging.

"We've arrived at Joe and Caspar's!" She announced, filming the boys playing Foosball, "Marcus and Joe are having a game of table football and Casey's in her own little world on her phone, as usual." She filmed me as I was at next to her and I briefly looked up from my phone to smile at the camera, before Zoe got up and went over to Marcus and Joe, who were arguing about something to do with the game.

"Casey, what's your favourite One Direction song?" Zoe asked me as she came to sit back down, still vlogging.

"Um, I'd have to say Story Of My Life, Diana, Strong, Happily and... There's probably more but I've forgotten." I laughed and so did Zoe.

"Sing one of them." She demanded.

"No." I shook my head.

"Oh, come one, you've got a beautiful voice!" She insisted.

"No, Zoe!" I giggled, "And get that thing out of my face." I pushed the camera away. Zoe laughed and then put her camera away for the time being, thank god. I then realised I needed the loo and went over to Joe.

"Joseph!" I yelled.

"What?!" He yelled in the same tone, causing people to laugh at us.

"I need the bathroom but I forgot where it is." I explained and he told me where it was. I thanked him and went to find it. I successfully found the bathroom and did what I needed to do before washing my hands and exiting. As I walked back out into the lounge, I ended up bumping into someone.

"Sorry." An all too familiar voice chuckled. My heart skipped a beat as I looked up and met the chocolatey brown eyes of Dan Howell. There he was, in all his 6'3 glory. His hair was swept to the side of his forehead as usual and he was wearing all black.

"Uh, i-it's okay." I stuttered as I realised I'd just been staring at him for, like, ten seconds, "Um, I'm Casey, by the way. Casey Sugg, Zoe and Joe's sister, but you can call me Case, if you want. I really don't mind what you call me, though. You could call me trash bag if you wanted to." I cringed at myself and mentally face palmed when I realised how bad of a joke that was, "I'm sorry, I don't know why I tried to make a joke. I'm really not funny."

"I think you are." Dan laughed, before quickly adding, "As in you make me laugh, I don't mean you're funny looking or anything..." He awkwardly said before saying, "I'm Dan."

"I know." I blurted out and Dan gave me a questioning look, "Uh, b-because, you know, you're friends with my siblings... And, also, I mean, I kind of watch yours and Phil's videos but, like, I'm not a crazed fan or anything, I-I just appreciate good content, which you happen to make..." Wow, nice save, Case. You're just waffling like an idiot now.

"Thank you." Dan chuckled, dimples sinking into his cheeks and I felt my face heat up.

"No problem." I smiled and we just stood there for a minute or two, awkwardly.

"Um, do you want to go join everyone else? Or do you want to just stand here like antisocial potatoes..." I attempted to make another joke and this one wasn't so bad.

"Oh please, antisocial potato is my trademark." Dan smirked and I laughed, "But yeah, okay." He added and so we walked into the middle of the lounge, where everyone else was.

"Casey!" Louise squealed when she saw me.

"Louise." I giggled as she engulfed me in a hug. Me, Zoe, Dan, Louise and Alfie all went back over to sit at the table while Joe and Marcus played FIFA. It was all fun and games, especially when we were stuffing our faces with Pringles, but then Zoe, Alfie and Marcus started asking people to "drop the bass" and I had no idea what they were on about.

"Actually, Dan hasn't done it!" Alfie said, walking over to Dan, "Drop the bass!" He exclaimed, rolling the 'R'.

"Drop the bass, Dan." Zoe said, vlogging again.

"What the hell are you on about?" Dan asked, obviously as clueless as me, "What's happening?!"

"Imagine a bass noise." Zoe explained.

"Okay..."

"Now try and do it." She instructed and Dan just laughed at how ridiculous this was.

"A bass noise?" He asked still laughing.

"Yeah, like..." Zoe attempted to do a bass noise of her own and Dan just laughed even more. I couldn't help but giggle as well at how bad she was.

"Okay, wait, give me an example." Dan said to me.

"What, me?! I'm just as clueless as you are!" I laughed.

"Just try it, Casey. Drop the bass!" Zoe said, turning the camera on me.

"Uh..." I made a really weird, awkward noise that sounded nothing like a bass and we all started laughing.

"But how did that even sound like anything?!" Dan asked before he finally gave it a go and made a noise that sounded way better than mine.

"Oh, that was good! Dan wins!" Zoe exclaimed as we all started laughing again.

"Well, he is a Radio 1 DJ!" Louise said in a funny voice making us all laugh. Dan then wrapped an arm around her and I felt a pit of jealousy bubble in my stomach. Seriously, Casey?! You've known the guy for about ten minutes and you're getting jealous? Get it together!

It was soon time to leave for the concert and so we all left the apartment and got in the taxi that would be taking us to Wembley Stadium. I ended up sat next to Dan, which I wasn't complaining about and after a bit of traffic, we finally arrived. We got some drinks before we went to find our seats. A lot of people recognised Zoe, Alfie, Joe, Louise and Dan and started getting all excited. Everyone was screaming at us and pointing and there were a lot of people grabbing at us and I started to feel a bit panicky. I started taking deep breaths, hoping to keep my anxiety under control and Dan noticed as he was right next to me.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked me, his eyebrows furrowed in concern.

I managed to nod, "I-I just don't like crowds very much."

"Do you want me to get Zoe or Joe?" He offered.

"N-no, it's okay, I can handle it. I don't want to ruin the concert for them anyway." I insisted and Dan nodded. He surprised me when he took my hand and gave it a squeeze.

"I thought it might help if you had someone's hand to hold, so you remember that you're not on your own." He smiled down at me when I gave him a quizzical look. I smiled back at him, feeling myself blush.

The security team soon realised that there was a lot of commotion going on around us and so we got moved. Dan still had hold of my hand as we walked backstage.

"Uh, Dan, you can let go of my hand now." I said awkwardly.

"Oh, right, sorry." He quickly pulled his hand away from mine, blushing and looking adorable. I giggled and he smiled.

We finally found somewhere else to sit but then we had to move again and in total, we ended up moving about four times before we found somewhere for good. Dan stayed by me whenever we ended up caught in the kerfuffle of screaming fans and I made a mental note to thank him for it later on.

We were all pretty bummed that we missed so much of the concert because of being moved around so many times, but once we got settled the rest of the show was amazing. Although, I was pretty sure I'd end up with a sore throat thanks to all the singing and shouting I took part in. During the quiet period between the end of One Direction's set and the encore, Zoe turned to me.

"Hey, so, uh, anything you want to tell me about?" She asked, glancing over at Dan and wiggling her eyebrows. Luckily, Dan was deep in conversation with Joe and didn't notice.

"I don't think so?" I looked at my sister, confused as to what she was on about.

"Then why did I catch you two holding hands earlier?" She raised her eyebrows.

"Oh, yeah, that... I got a bit anxious because of your viewers and the screaming and everything and Dan noticed and let me hold his hand for comfort." I explained.

"That's so cute!" Zoe gushed.

"I guess it was pretty sweet." I giggled.

"So, when's the wedding?" She teased and I rolled my eyes.

"What are you on about, Zoe?"

"Oh, come on, Case. It's so obvious that you like each other!" She almost yelled and I had to shush her before Dan heard us.

"That's ridiculous. We literally only just met and Dan would never like me in that way." I shrugged as if it didn't bother me.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." She smirked and I just rolled my eyes again as One Direction came back onto the stage and the screaming started again.

Sadly, the concert soon finished and before I knew it, we were all getting into the taxi to go home. However, it took a while for us to actually get home because we broke down.

"We've broken down," Zoe pouted into her vlogging camera, "Something's happened. The driver's trying to fix it."

Everyone was talking amongst themselves except me and Dan and I figured now would be a good time to thank him.

"Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for earlier, for keeping me calm." I smiled up at him.

"You don't need to thank me." He said, smiling back at me. The driver then managed to get the car going again and everyone cheered as we drove off...until we broke down again twenty yards later.

"I just want my bed at this point." I whined, my head dropping onto Dan's shoulder, who laughed.

"We'll get home eventually." Joe said from behind us in the back.

"Maybe," Dan said wistfully, "Maybe we'll die in this car..."

"Dan!" Me and Zoe yelled and I lifted my shoulder to give him a horrified look.

"Sorry, no, keep it positive... Everything's fine!" Dan laughed. I giggled and turned to look up front, trying to see if the driver was getting anywhere with fixing the bonnet. It didn't look like he was getting very far, unfortunately. I felt eyes on me and turned to see Dan was staring at me, but as soon as I caught him he looked away. I saw his cheeks go a bit pink, which caused me to blush as well.

Eventually, the driver managed to get the taxi running again and finally got us home. We dropped Dan and Louise off, since Louise was staying at Dan and Phil's (I mentally scolded myself for getting jealous when I found out about this) and then Zoe, Alfie and Marcus came back with us to Joe and Caspar's apartment. Since we didn't get back until late, Joe let me sleep round his and then I could get the train home tomorrow. Since I didn't think I'd end up spending the night, I didn't bring any clothes so I had to wear some of Joe's but that was fine. Overall, it was a pretty damn good day.
