from 'Royally Fucked'...to The Morning After
When Cassie woke up, she found herself in a strange room.
She gasped, then looked around the huge room. She saw a lot of antiquities in there and immediately felt intimidated. She touched her hair, a habit she was accustomed to, and found her hair was a tangled of mess. She looked at her body...
Her clothes were up to her bra.
Cassie's face felt hot as she smoothed out her attire. The memories of last night was just as blurry as her state of mind right now, but she did remember kissing someone extra attractive...
Oh my God.
She hadn't just kissed someone extra attractive, she had kissed Desmond Arrington.
Cassie couldn't quite decide whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. Desmond did have a girlfriend, and she remembered clearly how much of a monster his girlfriend could be.
But then she recalled the way Desmond had looked at her and paid her so much attention during all of her tutoring session with August, and she couldn't help letting out a wistful sigh.
This was really happening, this was really happening. Cassie was getting herself a first boyfriend. And that boyfriend wasn't from an online game or something equally embarrassing.
She found no one beside her, though.
A shot of worry pierced her, but Cassie ignored it. She checked her pants, and took a peek of her granny panties. It didn't look as if it had already been taken off. She also tried sitting and stretching her legs.
It didn't feel hurt at all.
So nothing happened?
Cassie considered taking off her pants, but when she was just halfway through, the door creaked.
"Oh, hey, Cassie," August's head peeked through. "I'm not looking at your panties."
Cassie shrieked and pulled the blanket over her. August gave out a sheepish smile, and then entered the room.
"W-What are you doing here?" asked Cassie.
"Looking for toothbrush. This is my mother's room, after all," August replied lightly. He made his way to the cupboard and shuffled around the clothings inside.
Cassie gulped.
"A-Anyway..."
"Great party last night, huh?" August turned and grinned at her. "Don't worry, it's cool you if sleep here. Many other kids also stayed over."
His voice sounded so sincere that Cassie lost any guilt that she had. She fixed her pants and then got out of the bed. "Yeah, it was great last night." Cassie paused, and then opened her mouth again. "Have you seen-"
"If you're looking for Desmond, he's downstairs."
"O-Okay," Cassie smiled. She stared at the back of August's blonde head. He mentioned that there were a lot of people also stayed over his house. Did he not mind at all? Where were his parents, anyway?
And why is this room called 'August's Mother's Room', not 'August's Parents's Room'?
Then again, Cassie knew that there were a lot of rich families getting every sort of domestic problems. Her parents were together until this time, Thank God, but she couldn't say the same for her relatives or acquaintances.
It was just so common that people didn't really care about it anymore. Or maybe the money numbed down their feelings.
"Then I'm going down," Cassie announced. August only slurred a lazy 'Um', which was uncharacteristically quiet for him. Maybe it was because of the hangover.
It took Cassie a few minutes to find the kitchen. She was rich, but based on house-size alone, Cassie could easily deduct that August was at least twice as rich as her family. There were a lot of rooms (many of them were filled with sleeping/snoring/smelly people) and Cassie could spot a few jars and things got broken.
Poor August, she thought. She often heard that August always host parties like this at least twice a month. If this was the state of the house that came after each party, how he managed to invite people in?
She finally found the kitchen, and she almost screamed a 'Thank you' when she found no one except for Desmond. His back was facing her as he helped himself for a blueberry jam on his bread.
Carefully, Cassie sat on the chair. Desmond didn't even flinch, even though Cassie had tried her best to make the chair creak as much as possible.
Then Cassie coughed.
This time, Desmond gasped.
"H-Hi," Cassie tried.
Desmond looked at her, his face was pale and his mouth twitched in an unfriendly way.
Cassie wasn't expecting this kind of reaction from the boy who had kissed her so passionately just last night. But she wasn't giving up now.
"What time did you wake up?" she asked. She leaned over her elbow, trying to catch his eyes.
Desmond didn't even look at her. "Just now."
"Oh," Cassie bit on her lip. "Umm..."
Desmond did nothing to help her enunciating her words. He just kept chewing on the bread.
"Would you.. would you pass me the blueberry jam?" she tried again.
He did. Quietly.
"And the bread, too?" Cassie was in the verge of tears.
Desmond silently pushed her the loaf of bread.
Cassie picked a breadknife and then smeared the jam. Inside, her whole body was tremulous. What was really happening? What made him treat her that way? Did she do anything wrong?
Did he get bored of her?
"Desmond..." Cassie called out in a raspy voice. "Desmond, look at me."
He finally did.
Their eyes met, but Cassie no longer found that desire that used to dance inside his orbs. Their eyes met, but Cassie soon knew that he was no longer looking at her. Their eyes met, and finally Cassie realized the ugly truth that was hitting her.
She had been one of his preys. He had captured her, and now she was nothing.
It was the logical explanation of all this. After all, Cassie did heard that Desmond was a kind of a womanizer. Now she finally knew why there were a lot of girls hating on him. She finally understood why some girls even got to the point of being obsessed with him.
He was the true asshole. Unreachable, unreadable, but in the same time enormously fascinating. He could make you feel like the most desirable person in the world when he was paying his attention to you.
But he could make you feel like the worst kind of shit when he decided to stop giving you that attention. You're totally at his mercy.

"You're really easy," he said before sticking his tongue down her throat.

"Why are you doing this to me?" her voice broke when she realized the horror of her situation. Here she was, a stupid lamb who walked right onto the lion's trap. She struggled to get out but the more she struggled the more she got tangled.
"There are other girls," she continued with all her last energy. The bread inside her mouth wasn't even gulped down, but she no longer felt the sweet taste of the jam. "You could play with other girls, hell, they were begging to be played by you."
Desmond's eyes held no regret.
No.
Desmond's eyes... Cassie couldn't even begin to fathom what he was thinking.
Cassie furrowed her eyebrows. "Desmond, I gave you my first kiss! I let you groped me," her voice died out in the end as she realized the errors in her words.
"You realized it, didn't you?" Desmond's voice was cold like ice. "you gave me your first kiss, you let me groped you," there was no inflection in his tone, like he was reading an unimportant news. "You gave it to me."
Cassie opened her mouth but no sound came. She hiccupped, but fought her best to not let tears came down streaming her face. No, at least not in front of him!
"Last night," Desmond got up from his chair. "nothing happened. At least, nothing happened between us."
And with that, he got out of the room.
Great. Just fucking great.
He just broke her heart, and he didn't even acknowledge it. He kissed her, but he wasn't planning on telling everyone. She was after all, just Cassandra Bellington, a nobody in school. She was unseen, unheard of.
She wasn't worth it.
As she surrendered to hear tears and sobbed, August entered the kitchen. He immediately realized what had happened and went onto her.
"Cassie," he called her softly. "Cassie, what happened?"
She couldn't answer. She had no idea if August knew what his bestfriend did to her, but even if he didn't, she didn't want him to know. She was too embarrassed to let him know that she had just let herself get fooled by the biggest jackass in the world.
And August, bless his kind heart, held her until she stopped crying
