FRANKENSTEIN
10 | Born Ready.

I tended to think a lot during car rides. Currently, the three of us sat in Carlisle's car, Carlisle driving, Aro in the passenger seat, and me in the back.

I sat up straighter upon seeing a deer dart back and forth within the trees. A smile graced my lips as I looked to the deer. Within seconds it had disappeared in the tree's again causing an odd expression to fall on my face.

"Carlisle, it's supposed to snow on Friday," I told him, remembering the weather channel.

"Yes, it's supposed to snow on Friday." Carlisle chuckled looking in the rearview mirror at the excited look on my face.

"Will you take a picture please," I asked knowing I wouldn't be here to see the snowfall. "Of course." He replied in a light-heartened tone.

"Aro? Does it snow where we're going?" I questioned leaning up some. Aro turned around an amused smile on his lips.

"I'm afraid not. It's always sunny in Volterra." Aro let out a pleasant laugh at the incredulous expression I held on my face.

"But, you're vampires? Won't you... you know, go all shiny?" I couldn't help but whisper the last part. This caused both Carlisle and Aro to go into a fit of laughter.

"We make sure, not to show our skin when it is bright out," Aro informed me a coy smirk playing at his lips. I nodded my head with a large smile before turning to look at the evergreens once more.

"Goodbye, Esme. I'll miss you, but I will see you again." I nuzzled my head into Esme's shoulder. She rubbed the back of my head, small sobs coming from her.

Vampires didn't produce tears so when they cried, it was dry sobbing. Venom may pool in their eyes - other than that it was simply dry sobs. After a few more seconds she let go allowing me to hug every other Cullen.

"Thank you for teaching me how to do my hair, Rosalie, it was really helpful." I gave her a tight hug.

"Emmett, thanks for showing me how to correctly do a proper 'cock shot'." Emmett lifted me in the air spinning letting out a loud boisterous laugh.

"Anytime." He winked putting me down, causing Edward to growl. "You taught her to do what?" Rosalie asked in a scolding voice.

Emmett's eyes widened, "Nothing babe."

"Don't you 'nothing babe' me, Emmett," Rosalie yelled at her husband.

"Don't forget if you're ever having a bad day, shopping is the best cure!" Alice practically danced up to me, her pixie-like form engulfing me in a hug. I hugged her back remember the multiple quotes Alice had told me.

'The Volturi are rich, so even if you don't like something, buy it anyway!' Her advice that she had given me from a few days ago still ringing in my mind.

As soon as she had let go, Jasper embraced me. "Stay safe." He mumbled into me before letting go. I watched as he went to Alice's side wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Okay, I promise Carlisle does not beat Esme. I don't think he could physically harm anything without wanting to die after." Renesmee informed me pulling me into a tight hug.

"Renesmee!" Edward hissed out, scolding his daughter.

"Oh yeah, Jacob and the pack are sorry they couldn't be here, but they wanted me to give you this." Renesmee pulled away handing me a simple ring, with a blue almost clear stone on it. "It's a moonstone, they said, and I quote 'this is a symbol in stating shifters are better than vamps.' Renesmee finished drawing back her lips making hissing noises.

"Renesmee!" Bella cried out in an utterly embarrassed tone.

"I can tell you right now that Shape-shifters are most definitely not better than vampires." Caius scowled crossing his arms, a mean look on his face.

The rest of the Volturi minus Aro and Marcus - looked as if they agreed with Caius's statement. Marcus looked bored, while Aro held a tight smile on his face. He looked as if it physically pained him not back Caius up and agree with his statement.

I simply smiled and took the ring placing it on my right middle finger. Bella came over to me next pushing Renesmee out of the way giving her a motherly glare. I pulled her into a hug knowing she'd be too awkward to initiate it herself.

"Make sure to call in," She told me. "If they harm you in any way I want you to call immediately."

Aro let out a loud growl at those words, earning one from Edward in return. "I can guarantee you that I will allow no harm to befall upon her in any way." He snarled an aggressive side which I hadn't yet seen coming out.

As Bella pulled away Edward took her place. "Don't do anything that Emmett's taught you." He told me obviously thinking of the 'cock shot'. I could see Emmett giving a mischievous grin in my direction before winking.

As soon as Edward pulled away Emmett was by his side. "Cock shot!" He cried out before leaning down and elbowing Edward in the nuts as hard as possible.

"AH!" Edward yelped falling to his knees holding his hands in an area of his I never wanted to see. Renesmee burst out laughing pointing at her dad as if it was the funniest thing in the world.

"Emmett!" The rest of the Cullen's yelled, Rosalie's voice, in particular, being the loudest.

Bella was at his side in an instant, helping him stand. "God, Emmett." She muttered looking at Edward's pained face.

"Stop doing that!" Edward cried out glaring holes in Emmett's head. "Don't stop!" Renesmee fell to the ground holding her stomach in laughter.

"Renesmee!" Bella snapped at her daughter. However, this did not cease her laughter - it added onto it if anything.

After a couple of seconds, everything calmed down. A majority of the Volturi looking at the Cullen's as if they were mad, save Felix and Demetri who only watched in amusement.

Last, but most definitely not least was Carlisle. Carlisle pulled me into a tight hug, which I savored. "I want you to know that you are my daughter. Maybe not by blood, but I consider you as much a daughter as I consider Alice and Rosalie." He mumbled kissing the top of my hair in a fatherly fashion.

Tears pooled in my eyes and sniffles left my body. I nodded hiding my face in his chest, not wanting to let my emotions get the better of me. After a few minutes, I was able to pull myself together and lifted my head from his chest.

I looked into Carlisle's golden eyes, willing myself not to fall apart. "Do you remember what color eyes you had when you were human?" I questioned randomly, sucking up any tears that wanted to fall.

"No, it's hard for a vampire to remember what their human life was like," Carlisle stated smiling softly.

"I bet you had blue eyes, but it wouldn't have been any blue. It would have a sky-blue filled with compassion and love." I said thoughtfully, thinking to myself what Carlisle Cullen looked like as a human.

Carlisle sighed shaking his head softly. "Too caring for your own good." He mumbled giving me a small smile.

"We must be going now, my dear. We cannot stay away from Volterra for too long." Aro's feathery voice came from behind me.

"I already packed your bags." Alice quickly said motioning to a suitcase and backpack which were stationed by the front door. "I packed as many clothes and shoes as I could fit into the suitcase, and all your movies and books are in the backpack along with a few other necessities." Alive finished a slightly mischievous look in her eye.

"Felix bring those to the car please," Aro stated, watching his guard pick up the bags and leave the house.

"We must go now, my sweet. We have a long journey ahead of us." Aro stated as his brother's and guard began filing out the door.

With one last wave to the family, I called my own, I was out the door Aro following.
