Chapter 5: The house of madness

Fran and (Y/n) woke up in a bed. "Aunt Grace... Is that you?" Fran asked. "My darlings, you finally woke up! You're at home my dear." She said. "Am I..? Really? That's incredible! I'm so happy to see you! Please, give me a hug." Fran said. "Soon, my darlings." Grace said. "And... where is Mr. Midnight?" (Y/n) asked. "Your cat? Well, you know he ran away after what he did." Grace said. "What? He ran away...? But what did he do?" Fran asked. "Well... your cat killed my sister and your father. He is a traitor!" Grace shouted. "Wait, what?!"

(Y/n) asked, turning to her in shock. "That's not true. It can't be true... He didn't do it!" Fran shouted. "It doesn't matter if it's true or not. In the end, we must have a guilty one, right?" Grace asked. "But you can't blame Mr. Midnight. He is our best friend!" Fran shouted. "But it's easier to blame somebody else than taking responsibility, isn't it?" Grace asked. "I will always take responsibility for my actions! Even if they are not so good..." Fran said. "What a good girl. Rest now, my darlings... You need it."

"But Aunt Grace... Don't leave us. Why are we chained to the bed?" Fran asked. "Because your hands do bad things when they are untied." Grace said. "What are you talking about? Uncuff us, now! We have to go find Mr. Midnight!" Fran demanded. "Little, little shining Fran, don't you worry about the lies. The seeker of the truth will always die because the evil will never hide. Little, little shining (Y/n)... Go to bed, and sleep tight... and forget the pain inside your mind...

You were selected to suffer, to cry and hate... but the darkness wants to free you from all disgrace.. sleep tight my Fran and (Y/n)." Grace walked out, and the door closed, then disappeared. "Great. Guess we're still in insane land. I have a feeling that's not actually Grace." (Y/n) said. "Oh, no! Don't leave me here! Aunt Grace? Come back, please!" Fran shouted. "But it has to be! But Why is she acting so strange? Why blame Mr. Midnight? Kitty couldn't have killed my parents... his claws are so tiny and soft! I hope he is fine... But what should we do now?!" Fran asked. "Relax sis. I'll try to get us unchained from the bed." (Y/n) said. "How?" Fran asked. There was an awkward pause. "Good question." (Y/n) said. "...Now that I think about it, the clockmaker said that time is a layered reality. Maybe... there's another version of us in this room, in another time! Or we're just imagining things. But if it's true, how could we make contact with them?" Fran asked. "I don't know." (Y/n) said.

"...Dr. Deern said that everything is in our heads." Just in that moment, the room completely changed, and another Fran and (Y/n) stood in front of them with her hands raised in the air dramatically. "..And the wind took all the magical dust away!" She shouted. (Y/n)'s eyes widened. "What just happened?" She asked. "I just said, the wind took all the magical dust away." The other Fran said, and the other (Y/n) giggled. "Okay, but..." (Y/n) trailed off uneasily. "Who are you?" "Wait, are you (Y/n)?" (Y/n) asked in surprise. "The one and only." She turns to Fran and (Y/n) on their bed. "...Oh? ...Hello? What are you doing on my bed? Are you sick?" She asked.

"Your bed...? This is our bed. And no, I'm not sick..." Fran said. "...But you are chained. Are you a dog..? Wait! Do I know you?" The other Fran asked. "I'm not a dog! And yes I'm chained..." Fran said. "Can you unlock it by any chance?" (Y/n) asked. "Whoa! You are... us! You really are!" The other (Y/n) said. "You think so? Then, this means that we managed to enter the Ultrareality!" Fran said. "Just by thinking about it?" (Y/n) asked. "Did you meet Itward already? He always talks about that!" The other Fran said. "Yes, we met him already... But we haven't seen him since the crash." Fran said. "You crashed? That means you are broken!" The other Fran said.

"We're not broken! Why would you say that...?" Fran asked. "Think about it! The only way to cross into Ultrareality is ...to break the eyes, to break the ears! Break the physical limitation! the other (Y/n) said. "So in other words, death?" (Y/n) asked. "You think... we're dead?" Fran asked. "No! Not at all! They told us that to die is just a mental state!" The other Fran said. "They? Who is they?" (Y/n) asked. "All the creatures that we can see!

The black ones, the white ones..." the other Fran said. "Do you know why we can see these things?" Fran asked. "Yes. A man called León came to visit once and told me everything!" the other (Y/n) said. "Oh! And can you tell me then, why we see the things we do?" Fran asked. "What about if I help you unlock the handcuffs, first? Then we can talk!" the other Fran said. "You can do that?" (Y/n) asked. "Good idea! We also need to find Mr. Midnight! I think he is in danger! Aunt Grace blames him for the death of our parents." Fran said. "Who is Mr. Midnight?" The other (Y/n) asked. "What? That's our kitty! You know? Our best friend.." Fran said.

"We don't have a cat. I guess that's the difference between us..." the other Fran said. "Anyway, let me see if I can unlock you two, it so happens that we're key collectors! I'll be right back." The other Fran walks over to her closet and takes out a box full of keys, then walks over to the bed. She clasps her hands together. "Let's see... which key?" She starts to examine them. She finds one that may work and unchains Fran and (Y/n) from the bed, and they sit up. "Thank you so much, Fran! Hee hee! You really have a lot of keys in there!" Fran said. "Yes, don't you? Oh, Fran! Before I forget, Palontras told me that, if we met someday I should give this to you.. Here... I think it will help you to open something!" "you know Palontras?" (Y/n) asked in slight surprise, and the other (Y/n) nods, and gives (Y/n) a piece of paper that says

The little golden box was having a hard time. All the screaming and the boogers were driving me mad. I press it by the ears, first twice to the left and once to the right. I rub its only eye two times to see if it has tears this time...I take him once by the left ear and scream: Stop whining, you little golden box, press your eye again, and open the door!
"Wow... Thank you!" (Y/n) said, and put the paper in their purse. "Yes, he also told us that, if we met, you would be ready for what's about to come up..." the other Fran said. "What? Ready for what? Tell us!" Fran said. "...Oh, No! We can't now. She's coming! Be quiet." The nurse walked in the room. "Come on, Fran... (Y/n)... You must see the doctor now..." she said. The other Fran and (Y/n) followed the nurse out, and the room went back to their normal bedroom. "No, don't go, little Fran and (Y/n)! We have stuff to talk about! That nurse is a bad, bad, bad nurse! She was the one lying to the newspaper about us!"

Fran shouted. "Anyway, we must find the monster. I'm sure he took Mr. Midnight. ...But nobody can take our kitty away from us. Nobody!" Fran said. "Calm down, sis." (Y/n) said. "Now about this paper..." Fran noticed a box in the corner of the room, and used the paper the other (Y/n) gave her to unlock it, which had another piece of paper inside, and she grabbed it and took it out, which had a picture of a clock on it that said

Mabuka, Mabuka!
Wake up mother, Mabuka.
The horned child is playing with the light.
The valokas is angry and shining too bright!
Mother Mabuka!
Wake up, wake up and give up the child, before the darkness ends
in the hands of the light. Mabuka must wake up!
Let's build the Ekog clock on the back of the giant cat!
- Too strong are the bubbles and too bright the light! - She cried.
- Me, Mabuka, the mother of darkness will open my heart.
Please take my little horned evil child and shut down the lights!-

"I think we must wake up "Mabuka" Fran said after she read it. "Who?" (Y/n) asked. Fran gave (Y/n) the paper and she read it. "Oh." Fran then rummaged through the mini dollhouse by the door, and found a key. She took out her toy from Itward which had a keyhole in it, and unlocked it. The toy floated into the air. "Whoa!" It then disappeared, and the door in the bedroom changed to a wooden door that had a cat shaped doorknob. Fran walked over to her closet, and began putting some items in their purse just in case they might need any of them. She had some clothes, dolls, a mirror, and a picture of her and their best friend Alice in their closet.

They enter a circular room with a checkered black and white flooring with a pentagram in the middle, with multiple doors in the room that were labeled. The numbers were 101, which is the room they were in before, 102, 103, 104 and 105, along with a crack in the wall and an eyeball peering in at them. Fran walks over to the table and picks up another key. As they walk down some steps, they spot a skeleton head holding another key in its teeth beside two other skeleton heads on the wall. "I don't think that's appropriate, miss." The one on the left said as Fran reached for the key. "I'm sorry! But I need this key. There are many doors that I wish to unlock!" Fran said. "Tell your friend to be nice and open his mouth!" Fran said.

"He won't. He never does. Besides, his teeth are reinforced. It would be hard to get that key without his permission." The skeleton said. "Reinforced teeth? I see... I'll see what I can do to take the key then." Fran said. "...And who are you, if I may ask?" The skeleton asked. "Well... I'm Fran." Fran said. "And this is my sister (Y/n)." Fran said. "Nice to meet you, Fran and (Y/n). I'm Roberto. Welcome to Mabuka's den." The skeleton said. "Mabuka? Who is that?" (Y/n) asked. "You don't know who Mabuka is!? You don't...? Leave, now. Just leave!" The skeleton shouted. "But... Roberto, sir. We haven't been here before. Don't judge us for not knowing. Tell us who Mabuka is instead, so we know!" (Y/n) said.

"Okay, okay! Mabuka is the mother of the darkness. The darkest darkness, the obscurity, the end of light. Mabuka is the mother of all creatures from the Fifth Reality!" "What?! Are we at the Fifth Reality? I thought Remor was the king here!" Fran said. "Yeah, isn't he?" (Y/n) asked. "Ah! Remor, The Terrible Black... the son of Darkness. Nobody likes him too much... You should go now. I have said enough!" "Alright. We'll be back later anyway... we must get your friend's key!" Fran said. They walk into another room, where they see a strange creature that looks similar to an alien in a tub with a red hole in his chest. "Does the sound of my heart disturb you?" He asked.

"It can stop all of a sudden and that would be the end." He said. "The end of what? The world, or...?" (Y/n) asked. "I don't like thinking about my heart's beat. I just want the soap..." Fran said. "Soap? Are you having trouble with hygiene?" The creature asked. "Yes, terrible problems with hygiene! I smell like my flesh was all rotten inside!" Fran said. "But that sounds delicious! I don't think that would be a problem." (Y/n) gagged a little at that. "Maybe for you! Just let me have the soap, for a little while." Fran said. "Alright then, take it. It's all yours... But be careful with the hijackers,

they love children that smell like soap. They eat their baby bodies and keep the heads, their beautiful baby faces!" The creature said. "That sounds terrible! I'll be careful. Thank you for the soap. See you later!" Fran said. They walk towards door 104, and Fran takes out a key and unlocks it, then they walk in. There's a mirror with a bush, multiple eyeballs on the curtains next to it, and one giant eyeball. "Intruders! Infiltrators! Why would you enter without presenting yourselves?" The eyeball asked. (Y/n) quickly turned to see it. "Ah! What the?!" Fran giggled. "I am Okhula, the eye from beyond. Behold my beauty!" She said. "Oh, I'm sorry! What a big eye you are, you must see very well!" Fran said. "I see everything, nothing less." Okhula said.

"Everything!? Can you see our cat?" Fran asked. "Your cat? How is it possible that you own a cat? Are you royal? Queen? Princess?" Okhula asked. "No! We don't own him but we have a relationship, we're friends!" Fran said. "Friends... How lovely. But yes, I did see a cat earlier today. It was crying for help from inside a cage. The bearer of the cage entered Mabuka's underground.. He's still down there, inside the cage. Okhula said. "What does he look like?" (Y/n) asked. "Big yellow eyes, pink nose, It's fur is very dark, black as the deepest night!" Okhula said. "That's definitely him." (Y/n) said.

"Mr. Midnight! We have to go and find him." Fran said. "But Mabuka is asleep. Waking her up can end in disgrace!" Okhula said. "We're not afraid of her." Fran crossed her arms. "Well, feel free to take anything you need from my home. You are brave and I respect bravery very much!" Okhula said. "Thank you, Okhula. We're Fran and (Y/n) by the way! We'll see you around." Fran said. Fran pulls the rope to reveal a painting. They crawl inside to a new area, and Fran inserts a button into a monkey machine,

turns the crank, and gets some pliers. They see the black wire and the bottle. "Pfff! That's not the key! At least I hope this can help us somehow..." Fran said. She takes the black wire and the bottle that were in the room as well. They go through door 105 and Fran uses her pliers on the skull on the wall to get the key. Fran unlocks door 102 and they go through. The room had a giant cat that looked like Mr. Midnight.

"Oh, hello there." (Y/n) waved at it. She opens the hatch on the big cat, removes the alarm clock around its neck and pulls the lever. The cat extends its tail, and Fran walks on it over to a tree, and takes a glove from it, then walks back and places the item into the hatch on the cat's back. They go up in a tiny elevator and see a head with fire hanging from the tree with its long hair. "Excuse me, we really need the key hanging just behind you." Fran said. "Excuse me, but I do not talk to strangers." She said. "You don't need to talk, just let us take the key." Fran said. "If I choose not talking to strangers, not listening is also part of the deal." She replied.

"Oh for crying out-" (Y/n) stopped herself. "I have a question... Are you stuck to this tree?" She asked. "I am firmly attached to it. Why do you ask?" The head asked. "We found a magical hair comb. Isn't it great?" (Y/n) asked, as Fran took it out of their purse and gave it to him. "I don't know. A hair comb? What is that?" The head asked. "It's this beautiful tool to make your hair very pretty and smooth! Would you like to try it?" (Y/n) asked, and Fran snickers a little. "I don't know. Is it dangerous?" She asked. "It can be very pleasant if you do it smoothly." Fran said. "Alright, let's try it."

"Sure thing, just promise you won't burn me, okay?" (Y/n) asked. "I'd only burn if I'm in danger, be gentle and nothing bad will happen." The head said. "Fair." (Y/n) brushed her orange hair, then it began to sizzle. "It worked!" Fran said happily. "What is happening to me? I've never experienced anything like this before!" The heads shouted. "But you're a Lucifern! All Luciferns I've met do this all the time." (Y/n) said. "Really? Well, thank you very much, it feels incredible. I feel like I need to fly away..." She replied, then turned into a bunch of orange months and flew away. (Y/n) reached over and grabbed the key from the branch, handing it to Fran. "Thank you!" She chirped. They go back down, and Fran opens the hatch again and puts all of the ingredients in the hatch in order to build the clock.

The ground began to shake, and the cat opened its mouth and dropped the clock out. "Got it!" (Y/n) said as she grabbed it. Fran takes it, and they walk back into the circular room, then Fran uses the key they got from the branch and unlocks room 103 and they walk in. Which has a giant white head on the wall, that looked like a mask, wearing a crown with a red gem on it, with blood leaking out of her eyes, along with multiple skeleton heads that look similar to snakes surrounding her.

"Creatures from above, get out from Mabuka's den. You're not welcome." One of them said. "Excuse us, but we're looking for our cat and we need to wake up Mabuka." Fran said. "Just Mabuka? "Mother Mabuka" for you, arrogant little infant. And how did you plan to wake her up, eh?" He replied. "With the crazy ideas of Cogwind?" He asked mockingly. "How about by a slap right to your face?" (Y/n) asked angrily. "How dare you, you bitch." "Cogwind is a nice clockmaker, he's not crazy." Fran argued. "Ahh, so you know him. I assume you have been into Ithersta. Horrid place I may say, too dazzling!" Another skeleton head spoke up. "Well, that's exactly where we want to go after we find our kitty." Fran said.

"Good for you! Your fragile little minds will be safe there with all those boring creatures." The other skeleton head said. "We're going now, you wicked tree! Our kitty is waiting for us." Fran said angrily, then quickly uses the clock to wake her up and her red eyes open. "Aaaaaaaaaa! Be aware of Mabuka! The awakened darkness rises from the unknown!"She shouted. "Oh, I'm sorry to wake you up, Mother Mabuka, but we need a favor from you." Fran said. "Can somebody tell me WHO these creatures are?

Quite insolent for such a tiny body!" She shouted. "Humans! We're humans!" (Y/n) shouted. "Yes. We're Fran and (Y/n) Bow, human girls, eleven years old and we're very brave, so you know." Fran said. "Humans in Mabuka's den? That's amusing. Who brought you here?" She asked. "That would be Remor. I think he is your son, isn't he?"
(Y/n) asked. "Did my son manage to enter your heads already?" Mabuka asked. "Enter our heads?" (Y/n) repeated in confusion. "You mean like cutting our heads open? I don't think so." Fran said. "Did you drink or eat some sort of reddish potion or beans?" Mabuka asked. "No, not that we know of- the pills..." (Y/n) realized.

"Yes, we took a whole bottle!" Fran said. "Then I can not use violence against you. The power has been unleashed." Mabuka said. "What power?" (Y/n) asked uneasily. "I hope you find beneath the ground, the truth that you seek." She said, ignoring (Y/n)'s question.
"Thank you, but what power has been unleashed? Can you tell us?" Fran asked. "The power inside of you. Don't you see it? You two were selected by the Five Realms of Essential Existence, to be the Keeper of the key. The Five Realms of Essential Existence was created parallel with Time." Mabuka said.

"What? What are you talking about?" (Y/n) asked. "The Keeper of the key? Who told you this?" Fran asked. "The Great Valokas from Primeve told us everything a long time ago. ""The keepers will be hunted by the son of darkness after feeding from the red seed." She quoted. "But you are too young, I must say... Too young indeed to be the Keepers of the key. There's something about you. Did something obscure happen to you?" She continued. "I think Remor killed our parents, Mother Mabuka. Can you imagine how it feels?" (Y/n) asked bitterly. "I am all of those feelings, (Y/n) Bow. I am all the sinister, all the darkness you can imagine.

"I feed from tears and sorrow, from desperation and FEAR!" She shouted. "But, then you don't care if Remor killed our parents? I thought you were nice!" Fran shouted angrily. "I am curious about knowing the reason, if that makes you feel better..." Mabuka trailed off. "Now I understand. It's the reason itself, the truth you're seeking. Go on, Keepers of the key, be brave now. I'll open my heart for you..." She said. A floor opens up in front of them, and they climb down the ladder inside. Once they reach the bottom, they see a skeleton version of the nurse and a tree like skeleton in front of her.

"Oh... That creature's body is made out of baby faces..." Fran said as she saw the tree like monster. "Do I know you from somewhere? You took something from me, didn't you? You little thief! Where is my knitting needle, ah? Did you stab all your little friends with it?" The nurse skeleton said. "What!? Knitting needle? Are... you the... dead nurse we saw back in the Oswald Asylum?" Fran asked. "Do I look dead to you, ah? You little beast!" She snapped. "Take a number, would you?

And wait for your turn in the waiting room." She said. "But, Miss Nurse! We don't need medical attention, we ust want to find our kitty." Fran said. "Take a number and wait... I won't repeat myself." She said. (Y/n) rolled her eyes, then printed out a number and it was 7. "Lucky number seven." (Y/n) joked. They walk into the waiting room and see multiple creatures. One had a long rat like face, along with long skinny arms and legs, the one beside him was just a head with horns, an elephant like creature with three eyes sat at the left, and a bloody ghost woman with long black hair and a mask face was standing on the right. "Argh! I wonder how long I must wait now, hours? Maybe days!" The rat monster said.

"Ha! I've been waiting for a week now... How long has everyone been waiting?" The head with horns said. "Hmmm, I've been waiting for like a month! But I have number 2, so it must be my turn very soon." The rat monster said. "How could you have been waiting for a moth with the number two?" (Y/n) asked in disbelief. "I have been waiting for 3 and a half weeks, totally hopeless!" The woman said. "Ahem! Excuse me everyone, but is there a way to make things faster?" Fran asked. "Yes! Become a doctor yourself. That would be faster... And by doing that, you could also help us all!"

The rat monster said. "Why don't you just become a doctor yourself then?" (Y/n) asked. "I can't because I feel very sick." He replied. "I can't! My "R" eye is blinded!" The elephant monster said. "I have this broken horn, you see? I can't be a doctor! I must be a patient." The head said. "Neither can I...I've lost my ability to frighten myself in front of the mirror." The woman said, and (Y/n) snickered. "Well, we're not sick at all! Please, let us go before you. Okay?" Fran asked. "I can't... I don't even know what illness I have. That's why I'm here." The rat monster said. "Hmmm. But how can you not know? Do you feel pain somewhere?" Fran asked. "That's a very hard question, make it softer." The rat monster said.

"How do you make a question softer?" (Y/n) asked. "Hey, have you tried pulling your eyes off? It helps sometimes!" The elephant monster said. "Argh, enough! It's impossible to talk sense with any of you." Fran said. "Of course you can't make sense of us. You're not the one that sees it all! You've only known us for a few minutes. That's very little time to understand it all!" The rat monster said. "Hmmm, that's true... But it would be nice to use some common sense." Fran said. "We're in a place like Wonderland,

Fran. There is no common sense." (Y/n) said. "What does common sense have that uncommon sense doesn't?" The rat monster asked. "Now. I want to wait, because talking won't make the wait go faster." The rat monster said. "Huh, alright. Thank you for nothing!" Fran said. "You're welcome for nothing." He replied. "Do you see the screen? I have number 2, it's almost my turn!" He said as Fran walked over. "Would it be possible to exchange our tickets? We have lucky number 7." Fran said, quoting (Y/n) from earlier and (Y/n) laughs a little. "No. I need to know if I'm in pain. I need to know what illnesses I have." He said.

"What if I find out what illnesses you have? Would you then, give us your ticket?" Fran asked. "Sure. If I'm still here when you come back!" He said. They go back into room 103, back into the circular room, then back into room 104 where they met the eyeball. "Excuse me, we need your help!" Fran said, waking it up. "Of course you do! What can I do for you?" She asked. "Can you tell us what illness the creature who has ticket number 2 suffers? He's in the waiting room, waiting!" Fran asked. "Hmmm, let me see." Her iris moves around for a moment. "Ah, I see him! But from what I see, it's not really an illness... ...It's just a headache caused by the low levels of agony in him." She said.

"Well is it possible to help him somehow? We need his ticket." (Y/n) said. "Yes! Crying all the tears you can cry, until you fill this bottle, will do it." She takes out a bottle. "...But don't forget, the tears must be caused by real sorrow." She said. "That is.... So messed up on so many levels." (Y/n) said, stunned. "How do we do that? We can't force ourselves to feel sad!" She said. "That won't be a problem... we're in a very problematic point in our lives." Fran frowned. "We thought everything was going to be better when kitty and I got home. But now, everything is so confusing. Aunt Grace is totally crazy! Talking to her was horrible! We really trusted her! We don't know what to do now! Mabuka said that we were selected for something... But she fell asleep again and won't answer our questions!" Fran began to cry, then so did (Y/n). "We need our kitty. Sis's and Mr. Midnight's hugs are the biggest comfort in my life... I just want to find him so we can go back to Ithersta and be happy!"

Fran and (Y/n) cried. The eyeball snatches their tears with the jar rather quickly. "Mmm! Lovely pain, so profound!" She said. (Y/n) made a small sound of disgust. She then gave the pink jar to Fran. "The bottle is now full of your tears. Give it to the critter that has your ticket! Go now! Time does not wait for anybody." She said. "Thank you! We'll be going now, goodbye." (Y/n) quickly went to her side to comfort her. "You okay, sis?" He asked softly. Fran rubs her eyes. "Yes, you?" She asked with slight concern. (Y/n) smiled at her. "I'm fine, sis." (Y/n) said. They go back to the waiting room. "Here! Drink this, you'll feel much better!" Fran gave the rat monster the bottle.

"Oh! Trying to poison me? Hahaha! How lovely! Let's see." He took the bottle and drinks from it. "It tastes like the most profound and darkest elixir I've ever tasted before. Give me more, give me more!" (Y/n) quickly back away from him, pulling Fran away. "Sorry, that's all we have, sir." (Y/n) said nervously. "Leave us alone! You promised to give me the ticket if I helped you!" Fran shouted. "Alright, alright!" Fran and the monster swap tickets. "There you go... ...And thank you, your tears taste absolutely delicious." The monster said. "Good to know." (Y/n) said. The monster got up and left the room and they walk back to the nurse. "Shoo! It's not your turn yet." She said.

Fran shows her the ticket. "Hello, patient number 2! We're going to do all we can to save you." She said. "Do you have an appointment?" She asked. "You told us to take a number and wait..." Fran said. "I'm sorry, we don't help sick people without an appointment." The nurse said. "But we're not sick. We lost our kitty and we just want to find him!" Fran shouted. "A lost kitty? Don't worry, that's a natural reaction of your sickness." The nurse said. "You're lucky though, many lose their mind instead." "I think that ship has already sailed, ma'am." (Y/n) said. "But how do I get an appointment then?" Fran asked. "Aww, just call me! Here's my card with the telephone number." She gives (Y/n) a card that said

Are you insane? Call us.
01-221-217-276

(Y/n) laughed. "Why do we have to call you? Can't we just make an appointment now?" (Y/n) asked, snickering a little after reading it. "Oh, that would be silly! Because now, I'm waiting for you to call me." She said, and (Y/n) face palmed. "I can't take much more of this nonsense." She said. "Argh! Alright. I'll go and make the call then." Fran said in frustration. They go back to room 105, and (Y/n) uses the phone and dials the number on the card.

"Hello! Yes, you told me to call to make an appointment..." (Y/n) said. "It's (Y/n) Bow. Uh-hum, we're available now... No, no. Eh, no. Yes I do have a pair of eyes. Really? Okay... we'll see you in a minute then. Great, great. Thank you! Bye, yes..." (Y/n) hung up and Fran laughed. They go back down to the room with the nurse and approach her. "Hello, patient number 2! Do you have an appointment?" She asked. "We just called you." (Y/n) said. "Let me check the archives... Yes, there you are. The doctor will see you in a minute. Just go through the door to your right. "Alright, thank you!" Fran said. Fran opens the door and a ghost flies out. "I'm sorry! Did I scare you? You look quite pallid." Fran said.

"Phew! Yes, yes! What a nightmare, you look like healthy humans!" The ghost said. "Oh, thank you, I guess. Now if you don't mind, we have an appointment." Fran said. "I don't mind actually, because it's none of my business." The ghost said. Once they entered the room, they see Remor again. "You haven't chosen to end your lives yet? Isn't the pain you feel enough?" He asked. They glared at him. "You are Remor, aren't you?" Fran asked. "I haven't gotten the chance to introduce myself properly. Sadly, I cannot be seen in the Third Reality for long periods of time. I am Remor. The Terrible Black, Prince of Darkness." He said. "We know." (Y/n) deadpanned. "Don't try to act like nothing happened!"

Fran shouted angrily. "Did you our my parents? Where is our cat? What did you do to Dr. Deern? And what do you want with my sister?!" Fran shouted. "I enjoy immensely seeing your suffering dripping off your eyes. I feed from it! You're the manifestations of my desires. I can use you for whatever I want. You are under my power!" He shouted. "That's not true. Not anymore! We won't allow you to trick us anymore!" (Y/n) shouted. "Tell me, why did you kill our parents? Why!?" Fran shouted. "You are assuming that it was I who did such a terrible thing?" Remor asked. "Yeah!" (Y/n) shouted angrily. "We saw you that night outside my window! It must be you who did it!"

Fran frowned. "You trust your eyes too much. Haven't you learned that human receptors are weak? Your bodies are fragile, easy to corrupt.." the ground shakes, and they are taken back to the scene, where Fran was holding a knife. (Y/n)'s eyes widened in shock and disbelief. "No..." she mumbled. "Noooo! It can't be... Stop it!" Fran shouted. Fran stabbed her dead father in the back. "I didn't do it, I didn't! It wasn't me... Stop it, please!" Fran begged. Fran didn't listen and continued to stab him. Fran and (Y/n) fell to the ground in tears as Remor came in. "Who was it, my darling? Who killed your parents?" He asked. (Y/n) snapped out of it and glared at him. "You're a fucking liar!" (Y/n) shouted. "She'd never-" (Y/n) was cut off.

"The dull little critter must suffer and die before becoming a star. They go back to the room they were in before, and Remor was gone. "I haven't killed my parents! I haven't!" Fran shouted desperately. "That monster wants to trick us. I know..." she said. "And we won't let him." (Y/n) said. "Everybody is crazy around here. We have to find kitty and leave." Fran looks at her. "Then I need to get you out of here." She said. They walk into the next room, where they see Doctor Dr. Deern strapped to a chair, and Mr. Midnight locked in a cage. "Dr. Deern!" (Y/n) ran over to him. "Kitty, my darling! We're here for you. Are you alright?"

Fran walked over to him, but he didn't answer. "Kitty? Answer me! What's wrong with you?" She asked worriedly. "Meeeeow, meow..." (Y/n) turned to him. "Wait, he's not talking anymore?" She asked. "Why won't you talk to me, Mr. Midnight? Please, don't do this to me!" Fran shouted. "Purrrrrr." "Talk to me Mr. Midnight, this isn't funny!" Fran shouted. "It's this place, isn't it? You must get out of here so you can talk to me again. I'll take you to Ithersta, my darling. Palontras can help us! I promise you, nothing will tear us apart again!" Fran said. "Mmmeeeoow." (Y/n) picks up a syringe on the table. "What's this for?" She asked.

(Y/n) stuck it into his neck, which woke him up. "Aaaaaaaaaah! Damn! What was that?" He asked. "Don't worry, Dr. Deern, it's us..." (Y/n) said. "Ahh? What..? I can't see very well." He said. "Fran and (Y/n) Bow, sir, from the Oswald Asylum! We were at the cemetery, remember?" Fran asked. "Fran? (Y/n)? What happened? Why am I tied to a chair? What have you done!?" He asked. "We didn't do this!" (Y/n) said quickly. "We're trying to help you, sir! The big monster brought you here! We must go." Fran said. "Come on, Fran ...Monsters? I don't feel like playing games."

Dr. Deern said. "Alright, it wasn't a monster at all... Just let us help you!" Fran said. (Y/n) releases him from the chair just as Grace and an old man in a wheelchair come in. "...But what are they doing here? I thought you chained them!" The old man said. "Argh! But I did! I told you they were hard to tame." Grace said. "Do you want me to get rid of them?" Grace asked. (Y/n) quickly stood in front of Fran protectively. "(Y/n)!" She shouted worriedly. "You will not touch her." (Y/n) growled. "Lay one finger on her, and you're dead." (Y/n) said angrily. "Get rid of us? Aunt Grace! Why are you talking like that!? Who is this old man?" Fran asked. "How lovely! You sound just like your mother when she was young." The old man said.

"Answer the question." (Y/n) demanded. "I'm Doctor Oswald Harrison. I know everything about you, Fran, (Y/n)." He said, and their eyes widened. "Oh yeah? Like what?" (Y/n) asked. "...Oswald? From Oswald Asylum?" Fran panicked. "Yes, Fran. The same old man. "But why do you know about our mother and our aunt?" Fran asked. "Well, many years ago I was studying the magnificent complexity of twin siblings.

Lucia and Grace were part of my study. Both helped me to find the key to success." He said. "The key..? Hmmm, did you know that our mother and father were murdered?" Fran asked. "Yes, of course. Remor did a great job." He said. Fran and (Y/n) gasped. "His power of manipulation is extraordinary... What I don't understand is how you can be so calm about it... It was you holding that knife after all." The old man said. "No it wasn't!" (Y/n) shouted. "She's right! I knew it was Remor all the time! But why does he hunt us?!" Fran asked. "Remor is the manifestation of your weakness... A blinded and powerful manifestation of your fears..." he said. "But... Why would the monster kill our parents!?" Fran asked angrily.

"Because your parents were interfering with my work.. But I actually did you both a favor... You are suffering... ..and pain is connected to growth and strength, Fran..." the old man said. "Oswald, please... Let's just do what we need to do." Grace said. "Which is?" (Y/n) demanded. "Aunt Grace, please don't be mad at us. We're family! Let us go! Our kitty, sis and I can find a place to go without bothering you." Fran shouted. "Please, just let us go..." Fran said. "Yes... You're right, Fran." Grace said. "I'm sorry for being so hard on you. Come on, let's go now. Your sister can join us." (Y/n) was still suspicious,

but followed her. Fran then heard the sound of a gun, and heard (Y/n) scream, and something fall to the ground with a loud clang, and quickly ran in to see Grace trying to shove (Y/n) over the cliff in the room. The cage Mr. Midnight was in was on the floor and that cat had escaped. "(Y/n)! Stop! What're you doing to her?!" Fran panicked. Grace looks at her. "Fran... My dear, listen to me... ...You must know, Dr. Oswald only wants the best for you. When Lucia was pregnant with you, he knew you'd be a very special girl. He told us to take good care of you... But your mother betrayed us. She wanted to hide you from us. She thought we wanted to kill you!

But that's not true.. Dr. Oswald really wants to give you the best. ...But for that, you must allow him to try a little experiment on you..." "And then everything will be fine?" Fran asked. "Of course, but there is still one thing we must take care of... this little traitor must go." She said, referring to (Y/n). She forces (Y/n) off the cliff, and Fran falls to the ground in tears. "N0000000! Noooo! (Y/n)! My sister!" She began to sob and Grace walks up to her. "Come on Fran, stop weeping. Your sister is dead now..." Fran glared at her.

"But she was my friend! You killed my best friend! You also helped to kill my parents, didn't you? Didn't you? How can you live with yourself!? I HATE YOU! Aaaaaaah! I hate you!" She shouted furiously. Fran leaped onto Grace, tackling her to the ground, and began to strangle her. "Stop it... Fran! Help... Help!" She shouted. "...Please, help!" Fran continued to strangle her as the old man in the wheelchair came in. "Don't you dare touch Grace, you little monster!" The man pulled out a gun and shot her in the stomach.

She gasped and looked at her new wound in surprise, then fell down and collapsed, passing out. Grace quickly stands up. "Oh my goodness! She's totally insane!" Grace shouted. "Bring her to me... I'll do the experiment while she is still warm. I need to extract the brain, right away." The old man said. Grace walks closer to Fran as Dr. Deern walks in. "Fran? Are you alright!? What have you done with her and (Y/n)?" He asked. "They tried to kill me! You were right about them, Dr. Deern, they are sick." Grace said. "...But she's bleeding, let me take care of her." He said.

"No, you won't! She is mine now... I've been waiting for this moment for many years now! Looking for the right child... The right brain! Now that I have her... Nothing can stop me!" Suddenly Itward jumps into the room, shoves the man in the wheelchair away by putting out his right hand, then throws Grace off a cliff with his other hand and she screams. He leans down towards Fran. "Oh, Fran! Everything will be fine." He said. "...Who ...who, who are you?" Dr. Deern asked. "I'm Itward! The one many children talk about..." he replied. "...But ...but, you're not human!" Dr. Deern shouted. "Ekto bro, ekto prote.

Palontras monakaist!" Itward said as he looked at Fran. Palontras flew over, with (Y/n) riding him. "Gorska! Itward... I found her!" He said. "Oh my goodness! Stay away from the girl, leave her alone!" Dr. Deern shouted. (Y/n) and Mr. Midnight walk over to Fran. "FRAN!" (Y/n) cried, tears ran down her face. "Little Fran must be cured!" Palontras said. "Do you think you can use the same body?" Itward asked. "Yes! She's not completely gone yet. Here I go.." he flies towards Fran. "Oh, Mother Mabuka, you took the innocence of the child! ...Fran is now dead and alive! Wake up in darkness, Fran... and you'll be able to walk towards light." Palontras said. Everything begins to shake, and Fran is lifted into the air,

and a purple glow comes out of her. The shaking stops, and Fran falls back to the floor. Then she opens her eyes. "Aaah... What happened? Itward?...Palontras? My heart hurts..." Fran said. Fran then notices (Y/n) and sits up. "(Y/n)? How..? You're alive!" She hugs her quickly, then she hugs her back. "Fran, (Y/n), we must go now..." Itward said. "Go? Alright... ..Dr. Deern? Look! This is Itward and Palontras!" Fran said. "(Y/n) and I told you about them, remember? We told you they were real! See?" Fran asked. "Can you believe us now...?" Fran asked.

He suddenly drops the syringe, and blood begins to pour out of his eyes as they turn white, the same thing happens to (Y/n). "(Y/N)?!" Fran asked frantically. "She can't hear you, I think she is under the power of Mabuka now. We really must leave, now!" Itward said. "...But I can't leave (Y/n)! She's my sister! You have to help her! Please?" Fran said. "We can't bring her with us. I'm sorry..." Palontras said. Tears fell from Fran as she looked at her helpless twin sister, but she knew this was coming.

That soon they'd have to say goodbye. "But what we can do is to make her along with Dr. Deern believe that all of this was a dream." Palontras said. Fran's eyes widened. "What?" She asked in slight disbelief. "It's for the best. She will wake up and think none of this really happened... and she won't remember you." Her eyes widened again, more tears fell. "I see... well, that's okay, I guess... as long as she's safe." She held back a sob.

"That's very kind. You're finally seeing beyond your own desires... You are becoming one with everything! Your parents would be very proud of you..." Palontras said. "She'll never truly forget me." She runs to (Y/n) and hugs her tightly. "I'll always be in her heart, and she'll always be in mine, just like mommy and daddy." "Now let's send you them home." Palontras said. Palontras spread his arms out. "Marcel Deern oanum, vekma sudensla ekto!" The ground began to shake, and (Y/n), along with Dr. Deern disappeared. "Goodbye (Y/n)." Fran wiped her tears away. "Let's go now, Fran. There's so much you must see and learn!" Itward said. "Heehee! That sounds like fun! Let's go kitty!" Fran said.

I still don't know many things... But one thing I do know... That between guilt and fear... I choose happiness...

Fran and Mr. Midnight were riding on Palontras as Itward rode beside them in his machine from earlier. '(Y/n)... I'll miss you. Never forget me'
