They're just girls,
Breaking hearts.

'Do you want any help with your essay?' I asked, walking over to sit on the floor beside his chair. 'You helped me, now I've got to help you or I'll feel like a useless friend.'
Albus laughed, and looked down at me next to him with a smile. 'You aren't a useless friend, trust me, Pipes. You're awesome.'
'See?' I told him, laughing. 'You always say nice things to me and I never say them back. It makes me feel bad.'
In that moment, sitting with Albus by the fire, laughing with him, just like always, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. This, I thought. This is perfect. This moment is perfect.
'Hmm, I don't mind,' he said, looking as if he could see what I was thinking and agreed. Then, almost without thinking, I leant my head against his leg and closed my eyes.
'I feel kind of sleepy now,' I admitted. 'I couldn't stop thinking up in my dorm, but you make me calm.'
'See?' Albus murmured. 'That's a nice thing to say.'
'Yes,' I mumbled, half asleep. 'Can you finish your essay with me asleep on your leg, do you think?'
'Why don't you just go back to the dorm?' Albus asked. 'Your pillow's probably more comfy than my leg.'
'You have a nice leg,' I said sleepily. 'And I feel tired now, but I know if I go back upstairs I won't be able to sleep again.'
I felt his leg move slightly as he laughed a little. 'Then don't worry. I can finish it with you asleep on me.'
'Wake me up when you're done and I can go back upstairs to my dormitory,' I said, realising just how tired I was- and just how relaxed Albus made me.
'Okay.'
'You're a lovely person, Albus,' I said. 'See? I can say nice things if I want too. You're great and awesome and- well, I can't think of any more nice words. Amazing. Fantastic.'
'Go to sleep, Piper,' Albus said softly.

The next morning, I woke up to the feel of my head resting on someone else's shoulder. 'What happened?' I mumbled.
Then I opened my eyes. Sometime in the night, Albus had slid down off the chair and was now leaning against the side of it, his mouth slightly open and his eyes closed. I had both arms around him, and my head resting on his shoulder.
'Oh, God,' I muttered. 'Albus. Hey, Albus! Wake up.'
'Pipes?' He said quietly. 'Pipes?'
'It's me,' I whispered. 'Albus, you fell asleep!'
'I woke up,' he said drowsily, opening his eyes and blinking. 'I stayed awake, and then I woke you up. I remember doing it!'
I realised my arms were still wrapped around his waist, but couldn't quite gather the effort required to move them. Or to take my head off his shoulder.
'Then you said you couldn't be bothered to get up,' Albus said, frowning. 'And then... This happened.'
'I don't remember that,' I snickered. 'But I have to admit it does sound like me.'
'What's the time?' Albus asked. 'Do you think I could get in five minutes more sleep?'
'I'm going back to sleep,' I mumbled, still not moving. 'So you better not go.'
'If it's time for school we're screwed,' Albus told me. 'Can you imagine Rose's face if she saw us down here?'
'You're warm, I don't care.'
There was the sound of footsteps, and a very angry-looking girl poked her head over the chair.
'Thankfully,' Rose said loudly. 'You don't have to imagine my face. It's here. What have you two been doing?'
A-N- wow I'm such a bad author. Crappy updates and ugh.
In my defence, I'm ill.
It's a cold but still.
Anyway, any song reccomendations? The 1975 reccomendations would be nice. I already listen to Halsey, Zella Day, Troye Sivan and some others I can't remember.
See you next time! Hope you enjoyed 😄
