Seven
All my friends are heathens,
Take it slow.
PIPER
Me and Albus sat there with identical expressions of horror.
Oh, crap, I thought miserably. Rose's going to make my life hell. Oh crap, crap, crap.
Albus looked like he was thinking the exact same thing. 'We can explain,' he blurted, just as I yelped 'It isn't what it looks like!'
'I just couldn't sleep-' I began, and Rose folded her arms.
'So she came down here-' Albus said hastily.
'And Albus was finishing his potions essay,' I added.
'And she was really tired but couldn't be bothered to go to her dorm-'
'So I fell asleep here,' I said.
'And then I fell asleep too,' Albus finished.
'It isn't what it looked like!' We added together. 'I promise!'
Rose laughed. And then she laughed again. And again.
Me and Albus exchanged horrified (and slightly terrified) looks.
'You two,' Rose said, giggling. 'And the most blind, deluded people in the entire world. It's beautiful.'
And then she walked away, still chuckling.
There was a short pause where me and Albus waited in dread-filled silence for Rose to come back. Nothing happened.
'That,' Albus whispered, 'was terrifying. I think I might have peed a little.'
'I think she might be sick,' I hissed back. 'Do you think we should go to Madame Pomfrey?'
Me and Albus looked at each other for a second and then both burst out laughing.
A small second-year walked into the common room, saw us, and walked out again, a terrified and slightly worried expression on his small freckled face.
This just made me and Albus laugh even more.
After a few minutes, we finally stopped, gasping for air, only to realise that it was ten minutes past breakfast time and we were late.
'We don't have time time to change!' I exclaimed, thanking Merlin that I was already in robes, even if they were a day old. 'Do I look normal?'
Albus looked me up and down, and I tried to ignore the tingly feeling in my stomach. 'You look fine. Me?'
I giggled, and stepped closer to him, straightening his tie slowly and then trying to flatten his hair.
Albus turned a light shade of pink.
'Okay, better,' I decided. 'Doesn't your hair ever lie flat?'
Albus looked sheepish, and ran his hand over it. 'My dad's does this too. I'm not the only one!'
I laughed, and together we went down to breakfast.
A/N- short but hopefully sweet. Another update coming soon!
I just listened to I Was Here by Beyoncé with some clips of Allison Argent and I literally cried.
Something's wrong with me.
