Coexistence

You are your surroundings.

Sharing the air in your lungs,

With the air in which birds soar and airplanes travel.

Sharing the water in your veins,

With the water in which fish swim and plastic float.

Borrowing the coal in your bones,

From the trees in the forest and the burned oil.

The parts that are you have been somewhere else.

Who could say where they will go next?
