The Hollow Eyes

I saw her once, a pale white face,
With hollow eyes, a darkened grace,
She watched me from her hiding place,
Her smile twisted, slow, and laced.

I turned to run, but she was near,
Her breath was cold, her touch was sheer,
A deathly gaze, a ghostly leer,
And in her eyes, I saw my fear.

Her fingers clawed into my mind,
Each thought a scream I couldn't find,
And as I fell, I knew the sign:
I'd lost my soul to her design.
