The more he read the website, the more intrigued and excited he became.

Yes. Perfect. Perfect. This is exactly what I need.

He needed to collect a few things and put them on the floor around each mannequin. Personal items and photos of each member, something with DNA, and something that was heartfelt to each of them. For Jimin it was a friendship necklace he'd bought him. For Namjoon it was a Christmas ornament. For Jin it was his favorite cooking utensil. For Hobi it was a little figure of a dancer. For Yoongi it was a picture of the two of them together while out to eat. For Jungkook, it was a handwritten letter that Taehyung had written to him a few years ago about how special it was that Jungkook was his only little brother, and how he'd vow to protect him until the end of time.

"I'm going to keep that promise, Koo," Taehyung said as he placed the letter on the floor next to the correct member.

Taehyung gave the members a bit of a pep talk. "Now, I've never done something like this before, so bear with me here. I don't know if it will hurt or not when you all wake up but if it does I'm very sorry about that. I'm sure it won't hurt for too long. I'm still figuring some things out but I promise to have you guys back by no later than tonight! Please be patient."

Taehyung dove back into his research and had to gather a few more things around the house. He had to recite different poems-or chants- he honestly wasn't sure what to call them. Some of them looked like songs.

Some were in a different language. And now because of that, he had to look up how to pronounce a ton of words because he wasn't willing to do this without knowing it would be done with perfect execution. He didn't know how many chances at this he'd have once he started, so he went in with the mindset that there would only be one.

Once he'd practiced, and practiced, and practiced, he sighed deeply.

It was time.

Time to bring my family home.

He had written down, step by step, every single thing he was supposed to do and say. He had the lights low and candles burning in a circle around the statues, as per the instructions he'd read. He apologized to them again for this possibly hurting, but informed them that he was now going to begin.

Everything was in place as he started reciting all he was supposed to say. He wasn't sure what feeling came over him, but the air shifted. Things felt different. A small wind came out of nowhere and started blowing the corner of the paper he was holding up. The candles in the dark room started to flicker, the glow from the flame getting smaller and bigger with each subtle passing of wind.

Taehyung started to see shadows dancing along the walls and he couldn't help but feel anxious. This didn't feel like his members. These shadows didn't feel like his family.

Something was wrong. These shadows didn't give off the feeling of love or comfort. These shadows were not his members.

These were malevolent.

Fear gripped at him as he started reciting the words faster and faster, wanting to get this over with. He looked at the mannequins before him and they weren't showing any signs of life which caused Taehyung to get increasingly frustrated.

Something was happening, but not what he wanted to be happening.

Suddenly the mannequins started to crack, and debris was flying around the room. The pictures of his members were flying off the walls. The room itself started to shake, causing things to fall out of the fridge and cabinets.

"No! No!" Taehyung screamed. "I'm almost done! I'm almost done!" He began to panic as he saw the mannequins begin to crumble in front of him. Everything he'd worked so hard to build was being torn apart right in front of him.

Just like it had the first time.

He saw more shadows flicker along the walls, continuously growing in size. There were one, two three...then dozens and dozens of shadows.

My members have to be amongst them...they have to be here.

He watched the crumbling mannequins and pleaded for the universe to help. "This has to work. This has to wo-"

He stopped mid-sentence as something to the left of him caught his eye.

"No! No! N-"
