"Mom Im home!" Ethan yelled as he took his shoes off at the door. "mom?" she didn't answer so Ethan walked into her room and turned the light on and what he saw crushed him. His mother, the women that had raised him when his father didn't was pale, with a blank expression, hanging. Ethan broke down and started to cry. He spotted a note through his blurry viston.

As Ethan read the note he broke down more. He got out his phone to call his best friend, "Jen? Jen! Come quick please." he said as he sobbed. "Ethan whats wrong? You never cry like this whats wrong?" Ethan curled up trying to comfert himself "Mom...s-shes gone...shes never comeing back. I need you right now Jen." He said while trying to control his breathing. "Im on my way." Jen said as she hung up the phone. Ethan had one thought as he cried, Why was this happening?

2:15 𝚓𝚞𝚗𝚎 21 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚍𝚊𝚢

Ethan walked to the club room, he honestly didn't want to go to school today but he couldn't skip. "Jenny can I go home yet?" he whined. Jen sighed "well you cant stay in bed sulking and eating icecream all day" Ethan laughed and Jen smiled,she could tell it was fake but she liked the sound of it.The rest of the club walked in "You guys are so late I was about to suggest cancleing today." He said as his tone switched in almost an instent. "Well im sorry king perfection some of us had to stay after class" Aby said getting elbowed by Jay causeing Ethan to smile to himself. Ethan always had a thing for the god of death but never says anything. "Any sign of emotion is a sign of weakness" The only thing his father said the Ethan agreed with. Thats the real reson he acts the way he does,he cant let them know how weak he is.

Most of the club went home so it was just him and Jen, reserching the "great war of magic" the rebelion vs the darknesses. Jen found it funny that the stone of war, herself was best friends with the "enemy" Ethan. He was the stone of lies, who was the leader of the darknesses. As it got later they got more and more tired. "Hey I'll meet you back at home ok Ethan?" Jen finaly said getting up and streching. "Ok, bye Jenny" Ethan said wayving, he stayed for another hour or two. "Ethan~" a voice said from the shadows, "Dont you wanna play anymore? You said we were friends" Ethan froze when he heard them say that. "Whats wrong tosier? you look like you've seen a ghost." the figure steped into the light to revel Ethans mother. He stood up and backed away. "Get away from me." he said backing himself farther from them. "Ah come on dont you love me anymore?" the figuer said shifting into a form that looks like Jen. Ethan had backed himself into a corner, the shadow shifted again. This time into his father "show some respect and answer me" "Get out! I dont need you anymore!" he cried. The shadow went back to their defalt form and floted over to Ethan,"Oh but you see, You made a deal with me and you know that if you go back on it I have full power to kill off all your little 'friends' so are you sure you want to do that?" they quetioned as if taunting him. Ethan covered his ears in an atempt to block them out. "Oh poor boy, you cant shut me up that easy" it said just circleing him like a vultrer. "Ethan? You ok in there?" It was Jay. "Well looks like they can tho" the figure stated dissepering. "Ya I'm all good just got caught up it studying" Ethan replyed. He stood up and left the room after he knew the cosed was clear.
