{Episode 12:"Colliding fates."}

Aerin slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurry and disoriented.
As her surroundings came into focus, she realized she was lying in her own bed, with a bandage wrapped around her hand.
She winced slightly, feeling a dull ache resonate through her body.

Before she could fully comprehend what had happened, the door creaked open, and Jiyeon walked in with a concerned expression on her face.
Relief flooded Jiyeon's features when she saw Aerin awake and aware.

"Oh, thank goodness you're awake!" Jiyeon exclaimed, rushing to Aerin's side.
She settled down next to her on the bed, her voice filled with worry.
"Are you okay? Do you need anything? You had us all so worried."

Aerin, still feeling groggy, mustered the strength to speak.
Her voice was raspy as she asked,
"What happened?"

Jiyeon hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing her words. "There was an incident at the airport. Some men with a distinctive dragon emblem caused chaos, and you got caught up in it," she explained, her eyes filled with concern.

As Jiyeon's words sunk in, memories began to flood Aerin's mind in fragmented flashes.
The men in the washroom, the emblem, and most importantly, the masked man who had come to her rescue.

Aerin's heart raced as she relived those brief moments.
"The man who saved me," she whispered to herself, her voice filled with awe and curiosity.

Ignoring Jiyeon's concerned pleas for her to rest, Aerin pushed herself upright, determination burning in her eyes.
"Who brought me here?" she asked, her voice laced with urgency.

Jiyeon looked at Aerin with a mix of worry and understanding.
"When we found you at the airport, injured and unconscious, we brought you back home. We were so worried about you," she replied, her voice filled with compassion.

As Jiyeon's words washed over her, Aerin's mind raced with questions. Who was the masked man? Why did he risk everything to save her? And most importantly, how could she find him again?

Aerin's mind was a whirlwind of questions and fragments of memories, each piece struggling to find its place in the puzzle.
She couldn't shake off the image of the masked man who had come to her rescue, his intense gaze and familiar eyes haunting her thoughts.

Jiyeon watched her friend with concern, her brows furrowed in worry.
"Aerin, is there something wrong?,"
she said, placing a comforting hand on Aerin's shoulder.

Aerin nodded absently, her eyes distant.
"I can't stop thinking about him, Jiyeon. The man who saved me. There was something about him...something I can't explain,"
she murmured, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and confusion.

Jiyeon leaned in, her voice gentle yet full of empathy.
"Sometimes, fate sends us unexpected allies in our darkest moments. Maybe he was meant to cross your path, Aerin. Perhaps there's a reason behind it all."

Aerin sighed, her mind still grappling with the enigma that was the masked man.
"I wish I knew who he was, why he risked himself to save me. There's so much I want to understand."

Jiyeon smiled softly, her eyes reflecting unwavering support. "You'll find the answers, Aerin. Just give it time. But for now, focus on your recovery. We're here for you, every step of the way."

Aerin nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude for her friend's presence.

Little did she know that the path she was about to embark on would test her in ways she couldn't have imagined, and the answers she sought would unveil a world far more complex and dangerous than she could ever have anticipated.

----------

The car raced along the empty road, its speedometer climbing to 180.
The engine roared as it consumed the distance, only to abruptly screech to a halt on a desolate bridge.
The creaking sound of the brakes echoed in the silence as Aerin stepped out of the car, her bandaged hand a constant reminder of the recent events.

Taking a deep breath, Aerin allowed the tranquility of the moment to envelop her. The stillness of the night was broken only by the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant hum of the river below.
She gazed up at the vast expanse of the night sky, adorned with countless shimmering stars that mirrored the endless  thoughts swirling in her mind.

Amidst the serenity, she sensed a presence beside her.
Aerin turned to find Jungkook standing there, his gaze fixed upon the sky.
His deep voice resonated through the air as he asked, "How are you?"

Aerin's response was tinged with indifference. "Fine," she said,
her mind preoccupied. Jungkook simply nodded in understanding.

Silence settled between them, punctuated only by the symphony of nature.
It was Aerin who broke the silence, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Why do we keep colliding?" she asked,
her head tilting towards Jungkook, seeking answers.

Jungkook turned to face her, contemplating her question.
"I don't know," he replied, a shrug accentuating his uncertainty.
"Maybe it's fate."

The word "fate" lingered in the air, beckoning Aerin to delve deeper. "Do you believe in fate?" she inquired, her eyes searching his face for a glimpse of understanding.

Caught off guard by the question, Jungkook paused, grappling with his response.
"I mean, kinda," he finally replied, his tone laced with introspection. Aerin accepted his answer with a soft hum.

Jungkook's gaze fell upon the bandage adorning Aerin's hand, and a tinge of guilt washed over him. "How did you get this?" he asked, his eyes meeting hers momentarily.

Aerin's gaze locked with Jungkook's, her searching eyes delving into the depths of his soul.
Time seemed to stand still as the world around them faded into insignificance, leaving only the intensity of their shared gaze.

In that fleeting instant,
Aerin felt a flicker of familiarity in Jungkook's gaze, as if she had seen those eyes before.

It was as if a distant memory stirred within her, tugging at her subconscious and whispering secrets yet to be unveiled.
The enigmatic quality of his gaze held a magnetic pull, drawing her closer to a truth she yearned to discover.

Their eye contact spoke volumes, wordlessly conveying emotions that eluded expression.

But as quickly as the eye contact had sparked, it was broken.
Aerin's attention returned to the present.

"Just an accident," she replied, answering his initial question.

Jungkook's lips curled into a wry smile. "Nothing is an accident in this world,"
he remarked, a touch of sarcasm coloring his words.
"Every moment is planned."

Suddenly, his expression softened, and he extended his hand towards Aerin.
"By the way, we can be friends, right?"
he asked, his eyes sparkling with warmth.

Aerin contemplated his offer for a moment, weighing the possibilities.
Seeing the genuine kindness in his smile, she couldn't help but reciprocate.
As their hands connected, a surge of electric energy coursed through Jungkook's body, causing his smile to widen into a heartfelt chuckle.
Aerin, too, felt a smile spread across her face, a glimmer of hope rekindling within her.

In the embrace of the night, beneath the starlit sky, Aerin and Jungkook forged a connection, a friendship rooted in a shared sense of fate and the mysteries that awaited them.
