(After having dinner, they both decide to end the day and sleep as the day was tiring. Riya falls asleep first, and Manik is lost in some thoughts.)

Abhi sirf 02 hafte huye hain aur vo mere liye itni special ban gayi hai. Aisa lagta hai jaise usse saalon se jaanta hoon main. Kaise ho gaya ye sab? Why does she affect me so much? Kyu uss ki aankhon mein aansu dekh kar mujhe gussa aata hai? Kyun usse har buri cheez se protect karna chahta hoon main? Why? Uski khushi, uski smile mere liye itna matter kyu karti hai? Why?

(Manik sighs and then looks to his side and smiles to the fullest as he sees Riya sleeping cutely, clutching the blanket to her chest like a baby.)

Manik (slowly)- I LOVE RIYA.

(They both are sleeping peacefully when Riya's phone rings. Riya moves in her sleep, but Manik wakes up and quickly takes her phone and puts it on silent. He then checks her phone and sees that the call was from the hospital. He then calls back on the number.)

Manik (whispers)- Hello.

Receptionist- Yes, Mumbai Health Care Hospital.

Manik (whispers)- Yes, Manik Malhotra this side. Dr Riya's husband. You just called on this number a minute ago. Is there some issue?

Receptionist- Yes, sir. Aap please mam ko jaldi se yahan bhej dijiye. The patient in the ICU is getting critical.

[Receptionist- Yes, sir. Please send mam here soon. The patient in the ICU is getting critical.]

Manik (to himself)- Damn it. (to the nurse) Yes, sure, she is coming.

Receptionist- Okay, sir.

(Manik cuts the call and looks at Riya as she sleeps peacefully. He thinks about not waking her up right now and informing the hospital that she can't come but then takes a sigh after thinking about how dedicated she is towards her work.)

Manik- But there's no other option too. I need to wake her up.

(He shifts closer to her and shakes her gently.)

Manik (softly)- Riya.

Riya (in sleep)- Hmm.

Manik (softly)- Wake up, baby. Come on.

Riya- Just some more minutes, please, Manik. I am still tired.

Manik (calmly)- There was a call from the hospital. They need you there. There's an emergency.

(On hearing this, she instantly wakes up and sits on the bed.)

Riya- It is that guy only. I knew it. I so knew it. Shit.

(She quickly rushes to the bathroom to get changed, and Manik thinks something and goes to the kitchen. He then takes some bread slices and promptly makes some sandwiches for her.)

Manik (to himself)- I need to get ready too. She is so stressed about this case, and driving won't be a safe option for her right now.

(He, too, then goes to the room to get ready and sees that Riya has changed and she is collecting her stuff. She is super stressed, and that is clearly visible on her face. He quickly collects his wallet and car keys and comes to her.)

Manik- You ready? Let's go.

Riya- Why are you coming, Manik? Main chali jaungi.

[Riya- Why are you coming, Manik? I will go by myself.]

Manik (keeping his hands on her shoulders)- I am not letting you go alone at this hour or when you are so stressed. I will drop you there and then wait in your cabin, okay?

Riya- Manik you...

Manik- Shhh. You are ready, right? When should we leave?

Riya- Hmm, I am ready.

Manik- I am waiting downstairs and have made sandwiches for you. You can have them on the way.

Riya- Manik...

Manik- Shhh. We can discuss this later. Now we should leave, right?

Riya- Hmm, right.

Manik- Come.

(They leave after picking up the sandwiches from the kitchen, and Manik ensures she has them in the car. They reached the hospital quickly because the roads were empty. She is then about to leave the vehicle when he holds her hand and stops her.)

Riya- Kya hua Manik? Let me go.

[Riya- What happened, Manik? Let me go.]

Manik- You can go, but first, take a deep breath.

Riya- But...

Manik- Just do as I say. Come on.

(She then takes a few deep breaths.)

Manik- And now when you go inside, don't stress and don't panic at all. You are going to set everything all right, and I know that. Just don't lose hope, okay? And if there's some issue, then just call me. Okay?

(She takes a deep breath and nods her head in a yes.)

Manik- All the best, doctor.

(She then gets down from the car and quickly goes inside while he parks the car and goes to her cabin.)

(Riya reaches there and sees that the patient's brother is misbehaving with the doctors. She takes a deep breath and goes there.)

Junior Dr.- We told you, sir, that we are trying our best. And Riya Mam is on the way, too. Please give us some time.

Guy- What time? I know this is all a plan. Tumhare hospital ke doctor ne pehle bhi operation sahi se nahi kiya aur mere Bhai ka clot phir se vapis aa gaya. Ab bhi tum log yahi kar rahe ho. Tumhe aur tumhare hospital ko publicity jo mil rahi hai iss case se.

(Riya tries to go inside the ICU to treat the patient, but the guy comes and stands in front of her, blocking her path.)

Guy- See doctor...

Riya (to the junior Dr.)- I will check on him and inform you. Just keep the OT ready for any emergency.

Junior Dr.- Okay, mam.

(Riya ignores the guy and goes inside the ICU to treat the patient. Inside too, whenever she gets stressed, she just remembers Manik's words and closes her eyes to calm herself down. The patient needs to be operated so Riya messages Manik to go home and come back to pick her up when she gets free.)

(Manik is looking around her cabin at the various awards and certificates she has got, and there is a constant proud smile on his face.)

Manik- Wah Manik. Yahan teri biwi ka cabin awards se bhara pada hai aur tune koyi ek bhi test bina cheating ke pass nahi kiya. Ye to cheating bhi nahi karti hogi naa. Wah wah.

[Manik- Wow, Manik. Here your wife's cabin is full of awards, and you haven't passed any test without cheating. She wouldn't even be cheating, would she? Wow.]

(He then receives Riya's message and takes a sigh.)

Manik (to himself)- Time to leave.

(He starts leaving but then stops in his tracks and thinks something. He checks the time, which shows 06:15 AM.)

Manik- Ek baar try karne mein kya jaata hai. Let's go for it.

[Manik- What goes in trying it once? Let's go for it.]

(He heads to the reception and his aura automatically changes to being the arrogant and cold guy he is for the world.)

Manik (plainly)- When is Dr Ridhaan Verma available today?

(The receptionist is about to answer, but someone from the back speaks up.)

Voice- I am always available, Mr Malhotra.

(Manik turns back, and there stands RV, with a formal smile.)

Ridhaan- I am always available for my friends. And also their husbands as well.

(Manik chuckles at his remark, and Ridhaan then comes forward, and they shake hands.)

Manik- Actually, I wanted to know about something personal from you. So...

Ridhaan- Yes, sure. I am free till 08:00 AM. I just came early to analyze some cases, but that's okay. We can have a talk in my cabin now.

Manik- Sure.

Ridhaan- Great. Let's go then.

(Manik nods, and they go to his cabin to discuss things.)
