(He picks up a firecracker, lights it up from the candle, and throws it toward Riya. He then gets away and waits for the firecracker to explode, smirking evilly. The firecracker is about to burst when someone pulls Riya from there, but to her bad luck, the firecracker explodes while she is moving away from it, and she covers her ears and shuts her eyes; tightly.)

(A few moments ago, Manik looks at Riya and takes a sigh of relief at seeing her safe, but he gets shocked when he sees that someone has purposely lit the firecracker and has thrown it toward her. He then spots Ashwin smirking in the crowd behind Riya and understands everything. Not wasting any moment further, he rushes to her and pulls her towards himself to save her, but the firecracker explodes with a loud boom, and he hugs her tightly, hiding her face in his chest, and she, too, hugs him tightly in fear.)

(Everyone goes still for a moment after the firecracker blasts, and Manik and Riya are still standing in the same position, hugging each other. )

(Cabir goes to Manik and shakes him to break his trance, whereas other guests gather around them. Meanwhile, Ashwin and Harshad glared at Manik and Riya furiously as their plan got spoiled.)

Anita- Ye kya plan tha Ashwin? Kuch bada karna chahiye tha naa.

(She holds his hand and takes him from there while he follows her with no objection. She then takes him to their room and locks the door. She turns back and looks on sadly as he walks across the room, all tensed. She goes to him and stops him, and he cups her face worriedly.)

Manik (worriedly)- You are sure, right? You are not hurt, right? Is there some burn or something? Just tell me. We will see a doctor.

Riya (cupping his face gently, softly)- Manik. Look at me.

(He looks at her teary-eyed, and she takes a deep breath.)

Riya (lovingly)- Manik, I am fine. Kuch nahi hua hai mujhe baba. Main bilkul theek hoon.

[Riya (lovingly)- Manik, I am fine. Nothing has happened to me. I am absolutely fine.]

(He grips her hands tightly, which are on his cheeks.)

Manik (in a scared tone, teary-eyed)- Vo... Vo usse kuch bhi ho sakta tha. Vo firecracker... Vo... I don't want to lose you. Vahan...

[Manik (in a scared tone, teary-eyed)- That... That... Something would have happened from that. That firecracker... That... I don't want to lose you. There...]

(Riya then hugs Manik tightly as he is still scared and is panicking more. She then rubs his back to calm him down. He, too, then hugs her back tightly.)

Manik- Please don't leave me. Don't go away.

(He hugs her more tightly as voices from the past echo in his mind.)

(He hugs her more tightly and is breathing heavily too. She hugs him more and gently caresses his hair to calm him down while he hides his face in her hair. After a few seconds, she feels wetness on her shoulder and is shocked when she realizes he is crying in the hug.)

Riya (shocked)- Manik. Kuch nahi hua hai. Main yahin to hoon aap ke paas. Kahin chod ke nahi jaa rahi hoon main Manik.

[Riya (shocked)- Manik. Nothing has happened. I am right here beside you. I am not going anywhere, Manik.]

Manik (in tears)- Thakk gaya hoon main sab kuch khote khote. Aur himmat nahi hai mujh mein please. Just don't leave me, please. I don't want to be alone.

[Manik (in tears)- I am tired of losing everything. And I don't have the courage, please. Just don't leave me, please. I don't want to be alone.]

Riya (consoling him)- Of course, Manik. You won't be losing anyone now. Okay, I promise that. I will never, ever leave you. I am not going anywhere leaving you. Relax.

Manik (slowly)- Don't leave me.

(He nods his head in a yes and stops crying but doesn't break the hug, and she keeps hugging him tightly. He takes a sigh of relief, and she rubs his back.)

Riya- Shhhh. It's okay.

(After a few moments, she breaks the hug and wipes his tears softly, and he keeps looking at her. She then gets a little up and kisses his forehead, to which he closes his eyes and lets out a deep breath.)

(Manik then joins his forehead with hers, with his eyes still closed, and she too closes her eyes. He then holds her hand, and she too holds his hand back, and they both stand in the same position for some time.)

(He opens his eyes and looks at her.)

Manik (thinks)- No, no, no. I won't let you go away, Riya. My love will win over every damn thing.

Riya (thinks, with her eyes still closed)- I don't know what is bothering you so much, Manik. And why did you get so scared today after this incident? I won't let you fight your demons alone, Manik. We will face everything together.

(She, too, then opens her eyes and looks at him, who is already looking at her. She smiles at him, and he reverts a small smile to her. They both then get away.)

Riya- You want to go down again, Manik?

Manik- I don't like celebrating things with those people. Hume to yahan rukna hi nahi chahiye tha. And I don't want to go down again now.
