(The Dixits reach Malhotra Mansion after some time, and the elders greet each other.)

Manik (to himself)- Strengthen my foot. Jo log paise ke liye apne bacho ki life tak ko daav pe laga rahe hain, unse zyaada greedy aur selfish to koyi ho hi nahi sakta in this world.

Raj (with a fake smile)- Tumne kuch kaha kya Manik?

[Raj (with a fake smile)- Did you say something, Manik?]

Manik (with an even more fake smile)- No. Not at all.

Neyonika- Chaliye baaki baatein bhi aaram se baith kar karte hain. Aiyee please.

[Neyonika- Okay, let's get seated comfortably and then talk about the other things. Please come inside.]

(They all go inside, and Manik is still waiting for Riya to come.)

(Just then, Riya enters inside with an apologetic face.)

Riya- I am so sorry...

(She spots Manik there and stops speaking in between. He also hears her voice, stops arguing with Mukti, and stares at Riya.)

Manik (in his mind)- Gorgeous.

(Riya gives a small smile to Manik as she recalls the hospital incident and looks away quickly. This confuses Manik, and he checks his clothes to see if he is wearing something wrong. Cabir sees all this and chuckles.)

Mukti- Cabir she is our to be sister-in-law, Dr. Riya Dixit.

Cabir- Of course, I know Mukti. But you know she looks more pretty in real than in the pictures. And cute too.

Riya (with a smile)- Well, thank you so much, Cabir.

(Cabir then looks at Manik, who gives him a tight-lipped smile, a sign for him and Mukti to stop their drama and leave.)

Cabir- Mukti jaldi chal tujh se kuch kaam hai.

[Cabir- Mukti, come with me quickly. I have some work.]

Mukti- But Cabir...

Cabir- Nahi nahi nahi. Jaldi chal tu mere saath.

[Cabir- No, no, no. You just come with me.]

(He takes Mukti with him, and now Riya and Manik are standing all alone.)

(They go inside together and see their parents discussing something and Cabir and Mukti laughing, looking at something on Cabir's phone. Manik takes a sad sigh, and Riya looks at him.)

Riya- Koyi problem hai?

[Riya- Is there some problem?]

Manik- No, it's all fine. You have a seat, please.

(He pulls out a chair for her, and she thanks him and sits. He then sits on the chair next to her, giving Cabir and Mukti a chance to tease him.)

Mukti- Wow Bhai. Abhi to aapki shaadi bhi nahi huyi hai. But delightful change.

[Mukti- Wow, bro. You are not even married to her. But delightful change.]

Raj (chuckles)- What change, Mukti? He is getting into this contract marriage for money. So there is no need to find these moments and all things. Right, Manik?

Ashwin- Of course Mr. Malhotra. Paise ke liye to log kuch bhi kar sakte hain. Ye log moments hi bana le.

[Ashwin- Of course, Mr Malhotra. People can do anything for money. Let them make moments too.]

(The elders laugh at this while Riya looks down and tightly clutches her dress in her fist. Manik looks at her and then at her fisted hand and takes a deep breath to control his anger.)

Manik (gritting his teeth)- Paise ke liye ye sab aap log kar rahe hain. But I am marrying Riya because I want to give this marriage a chance. I want Riya to be that change in my life I have always wanted. Mere liye ye shaadi contract nahi hai. I made this clear to you as well a while ago.... right, "Mom"?

(Riya looks at Manik with a sad expression while he smiles at her. She also then passes him a small smile and then looks away. And Raj looks furiously at Neyonika about what Manik said, and she looks away. She then calls the servant and asks him to serve the food. They all start eating, and the conversation about the deal continues. Manik keeps looking sharply at Neyonika and Raj at how excited and happy they are after sacrificing their son for a mere agreement. He looks at Raj in annoyance when something gets stuck in his throat, and he coughs badly.)

Neyonika- God Manik! Hume ghurne se zyaada apne khaane pe dhyaan doge to ye nahi hoga. Saara mood kharaab kar diya tum ne.

[Neyonika- God Manik! This is bound to happen if you keep glaring at us rather than focusing on your food. You have spoiled the entire mood.]

(Riya rubs and pats his back to help him and looks at Neyonika in disbelief that her son is in discomfort and all she is concerned about is her mood. Riya gives Manik a glass of water, which he drinks quickly enough to stop his coughing, but it doesn't work.)

Manik (while coughing)- Oh...(coughs)...really...(coughs)...you...

Riya (concerned, still rubbing his back)- He is in discomfort, Mrs Malhotra. You can say all this afterwards, too.

Neyonika (angrily, to Riya)- You...

Riya (to Mukti)- Mukti, please get me a slice of bread and some milk. Quickly!

(Mukti nods and rushes to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Manik's cough is reduced, but it is still not gone. Mukti returns with the required things, and Riya quickly breaks the bread into smaller pieces, dips one piece in the milk, and then makes Manik eat a bite.)

Riya (rubbing his back)- Don't rush, okay? Aaram se swallow karo iss ko.

[Riya (rubbing his back)- Don't rush, okay? Just swallow it slowly.]

(Manik does what Riya says, and it does work, and he gets better. She is standing next to him, rubbing his back while he is still chewing the bite slowly as she has asked him to. And by the end, he is fine.)

Cabir- Bhai, you okay naa?

[Cabir- Bro, you are okay, right?]

(Manik nods his head in yes and is still massaging his throat.)

Cabir (to Riya)- He is okay, right?

Riya- Yes, Cabir, he's fine. It's just that the food got stuck in his throat, and this happened. Milk acts as a lubricant and helps push down the stuck food, and the bread piece acts as the pushing force. It's nothing to worry about.

Mukti- Thank you so much, Riya.

Riya- You don't have to thank me, Mukti. It's perfectly fine.

(Riya and Manik then look at each other with a smile.)

Manik (slowly)- Thank you for doing this.

(He smiles at her and then looks at Raj-Neyonika and Ashwin-Anita at how they are not at all concerned about all that happened and are still busy gossiping and eating. Hurt flashed through his eyes, seeing how his parents, especially his mother, didn't even care about him. Riya also sees all this and his anguished expressions and feels terrible for him. She then looks at Mukti and Cabir and finds them busy with themselves. Manik then sighs and continues eating his food, whereas Riya feels terrible for him but decides not to ask him now as he is already not feeling well, so she continues with her food. Later, Ashwin receives a call from his PA and gets highly delighted.)

Ashwin- Sab arrangements ho jayengi kal. And the court marriage can happen the day after tomorrow.

[Ashwin- All the arrangements will be made for tomorrow. And the court marriage can happen the day after tomorrow.]

Anita- Wow, that's amazing. Finally, she is getting married.
