Special-Fireworks
Lol I feel bad putting Akari through so much crap, so I decided to make a special for her
Timeline: Before Chunin exams
Third POV:
"I sent a hawk 30 minutes ago. Why isn't she here yet?" The Sandaime Hokage muttered to himself, slightly irritated. "I'll go look for her..." Kakashi sighed. "I'll go too." Sasuke said. "No, you stay here." Kakashi commanded. Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "I know her better than you do, Kakashi, meaning that I have a higher chance of finding her." He stated. It was Kakashi's turn to raise an eyebrow. "Prove it." He challenged. Sasuke smirked.
"What's her favourite shade?"
No answer.
"Black. When's her birthday?"
Speechless.
"July 23rd, same as mine. What's her favourite food?"
Clueless.
"Matcha flavour dango. First thing she said to a bodyguard of the raikage that tried to diss her?"
Silence.
" 'I'm sorry, what language are we speaking here again? Because it sounds like... bullshit.' Convinced?"
Sasuke asked with a hint of sarcasm. "How do you know all this stuff she wouldn't have told us even if we sent her to Ibiki?" Kakashi curiously asked. "She would've told you. It's just that none of you ever bothered to ask." Sasuke coldly replied, and walked out the door.
Sasuke's POV:
I ran over to the ledge with the cherry blossom tree she liked. She usually went there. I silently walked up to her. She looked so different when she was sleeping. In fact, nothing like she looked like when she was awake. This her looked more relaxed, and gave off peaceful, serene aura. For once, she looked like she was actually 6, and not a 30 year old trapped in a six year old's body. Dark bags were evident, surrounding her eyes. I knew she only willingly slept for an hour at most once a week. I sighed. I feel guilty, waking her up...
"Akari. Wake up. You're late for a meeting..." I said, lightly shaking her. She opened an eye. "Kay. What's the meeting about?" She asked. "Don't know. They haven't told us yet." I told her. She sighed. "Let's go." She muttered, put a hand on my shoulder, and teleported us back to the Hokage's office.
Akari's POV:
My eyes skimmed through the crowd. "Where's Kakashi?" I asked. "He went to go find you as well..." Hiruzen muttered. I sighed. I swear, these people age me 10 years a minute. I opened a window and looked for Kakashi. My eyes wandered over to the training grounds. More specifically, training ground number 13. Found him. I took out a scroll, and summoned a machine gun. Lock onto the target...take aim...and...
Fire.
The bullet skimmed Kakashi's face. He immediately looked over in my direction. I rolled up a piece of paper to use as a megaphone and started yelling at Kakashi.
"Attention, Attention! Kakabaka, your oh so wonderful, pain in the ass, adoptive daughter has been located and has also decided to be annoying as fuck, so if you want this to stop, get your ass back here and stop making me waste my time waiting for this meeting to start!"
I sarcastically yelled to Kakashi. He teleported back here. "What a wonderful way to grab someone's attention. You shoot a bullet at them." He said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, would you have preferred me to shoot an arrow with a paper bomb attatched to it at you?" I shot back, with a fake, sickly sweet smile. "You're acting like a smartass." He pointed out. "I'd gladly act like a smartass if it meant not being a dumbass like you." I sassed. "Oof." I could hear Asuma snicker, along with everyone else. "Fine, you win." Kakashi muttered. "Okay, let the meeting start." Hiruzen said, stopping Kakashi's humiliation from continuing.
"As most of you know, there is a fireworks festival tomorrow. However, we will still have missions coming in. Normally, we would have created a schedule for when each shinobi will go on duty, but this year, we have special circumstances. Due to how efficiently a certain kunoichi works, if we put her on duty, I doubt that anyone else will have to go on missions. However, that certain kunoichi has been going on back to back A and S rank missions nonstop for the past month, so we left it up to you to decide. Should we let this kunoichi, Akari Hatake, have a break, or should we have her work the entire day? We are having a vote. All in favour of having Akari work, raise your hands." He said. No one put up their hand. "Alright...all in favour of giving Akari a break, put your hands up." I watched as every hand went up in the room. I sighed. "Look guys, I appreciate it and all, but no matter what, I'm still going on the missions." I said. "Sorry. Majority rules." Kakashi said, not sounding one bit sorry at all. "Well, I point middle fingers at majority and tell it I don't give a shit." I deadpanned. A hand was placed on my shoulder. It was Kurenai's hand. "How about we make a deal?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow, but motioned for her to continue. "We'll let you take missions until 7pm, if you let us make you wear whatever we want you to for the festival." She bargained. Whatever she wants me to wear...? I have a bad feeling about this... After all, it is Kurenai...
I sighed. Nonetheless, I nodded my head. I couldn't allow any casualties to happen. We started walking out. "You coming over?" Sasuke asked. I nodded. Silently, we walked back to his house. After he closed the door, we sat down on a couch.
"You realize that you played yourself, right?"
I sighed and nodded. "As much as I hate the idea of wearing an outfit Kurenai's picking, I hate the idea of someone dying on a mission when they're supposed to be celebrating in the village even more." I muttered. He snickered. "Why do I get the feeling that you would walk down the street in a stripper's outfit if it was for the village?" He mused to himself. "I probably would..." I trailed off. My hair is going to start draining white, since it's already technically grey. I walked into the kitchen to make something to eat while thinking about the deal.
I really fucked up, didn't I?
