Lately, I've been missing you more than I'd care to admit.
Maybe it's because fall is starting,
And Christmas is around the corner.
Last fall,
We sat in a park bench and watched the leaves fall into the water.
You gave me your hoodie,
And held my hand as I laid my head on your shoulder.
We swung on the swings
And later went home to make halloween cookies.
I remember the late fall nights,
Where your parents were never home,
And we watched movies and cuddled to keep warm.
And when it was just me and you,
You made me dinner,
And while you fixed the coffee,
I stirred the rice,
And you came up behind me and wrapped your arms around me.
Fall.
Such a chilling word that can bring back such warm memories.
Then there's winter.
We decorated for Christmas at your grandparents on Christmas Eve,
And I took a nap in your arms.
We made Christmas cookies,
And watched Christmas with the kranks.
I got sick and you held my hair as I puked.
You made jokes and we laughed as we looked at Christmas decorations.
In a small cabin,
There played a violin,
With a thousand lit candles,
It was so romantic
When you held my hand.
Maybe It's all coming back to me,
Just because it's turning fall,
Or maybe because Christmas is around the corner.
The first fall and first Christmas
