I'm trying to make sense of the waters around me,
But instead only waves seem to crash over my drowning head.
Help!
I cannot breathe,
For the things I seem to question
Are troubling waters ahead!
Are you swimming or are you drowning?
The question is muffled while my ears are underwater.
I cannot tell if you are here,
I do not know if you swim by me.
Are you holding my hand under the water as well?
Or are you watching from above,
As I struggle under the waves?
Is it just me?
Whose lungs are filling with water as I try to make sense of what I'm feeling?
Or is it you as well?
I guess I'll never know,
Because speaking it,
Is only muffled by the water,
That I seemed to have plunged myself into.
