Paws pattered the ground as a brown fox looked out the distance. The sounds came from a tawny She, her green eyes flashed.

"Everything is in place. The prophecy is fulfilled." The She whispered. The brown She didn't respond.

"You did great Leaf." She complimented. 

"Thank you Pine." Leaf spoke, turning around to meet the others gaze. Leaf dipped her head.

"I-I'm sorry you didn't live long enough to celebrate with your packmates." The brown fox apologized. The senior gave a half-hearted chuckle. She closed her eyes.

"It's alright, it was my time." She sighed. The two rested their attention to the floor once more, watching the packs labor and hunt. 

"You know." The former deputy started. 

"Their destiny isn't over."
