---For those who need a summary of Foxcraft or a refresher---

Furless = human

Mangler = car

Snatcher = animal control

Brightglobe = street light

Graystone = road/sidewalk

Spyhole = window

Furless den = human house

Beast den = zoo

--

Maa = a foxes lifesource

Maha = a wolfs lifesource

All foxes and wolves are born with maa or maha, some have more, some have less

--

Malinta = the spring and fall equinox. First day of spring or fall. Said to be a day of maa. The Elders meet on this day.

Gloaming = the summer and winter solstice. First  day of summer or winter. Said to be a day of maa, the elders meet. A big deal.

--

"Run fast, be safe, live free" = a farewell term used by foxes. Also a chant to reverse the pleaching

--

**Chants can be reversed mentally, or vocally if the name is italicized

Slimmering = an ability a fox has to seemingly dissapear. The chant will only work when the user has stilled their breath, and mind

- The chant: What was seen is unseen; what was sensed becomes senseless. What was bone is bending; what was fur is air.

- The reversal chant: unknown, however if the user starts to breathe again, they will become visible. Others may see the user if they blink repeatedly.

Karraking = an ability a fox has to 'throw' their voices and perfectly mimic another being. There is no chant.

Wa'akkir = the ability a fox has to (safely) shift into one of the Cubs of Canista. The spell will harm the user if they use it as another animal that isn't a cub of Canista. If a fox has shifted into someone, and the person they are shifted into sees them, the person will get violent, or become sick. After the chant, it is common to say "I am [the users name], I am changing, I am [whatever the user is turning into]!". If the user is shifted and the being they shifted into dies, the user will die as well.

-the chant: I am the fur that ruffles your back, I am the twist and shake of your tail. Let me appear in the shape of your body: no one can tell; others will fear; dare not come near!

- the reversal chant: none, but it is common to say; I am [whatever the user changed in to], I am changing, I am [the users real name].

Maa-Sharm = the ability any fox has to take their own maa and give it to someone else.

- The chant: With my touch I sense you, with my eyes I heal you. By Canista's Lights I share what I have; we are knit together, and you are whole.

- The reversal chant:  *Tuu-maa-sharm*

Gerra-Sharm = the ability a fox has to share dreams with another. It is a rare, and forgotten form of Foxcraft. Only a strong-willed cub of Canista with a strong intuitive bond may preform this. There is no chant.

Shana-Sharm = a spell only used the Elders may preform. It will protect, or hide, a place from those unwanted.

- The Chant: Come together, rays of light; comfort me in the deadly night. Weave a wall of thickest mist; every fiend and foe resist.

- The Reversal Chant: None. Will wear down with time.

Pashanda = the spell where any cub of Canista may receive a bout of knowledge.

- The Chant: Eye of gerra; inner glance; Share your secrets through my trance

- The Reversal Chant: *Pakkara*

Pleaching =  a fox (or the caster/mage) will force those under their spell to do their bidding. The chant is recited over a bundle of tail-tip fur from a fox and the fox they are going to pleach that is buried under a blood-bark tree.

- The Chant: Your thoughts are mine; my will is yours; you are my eyes; I am your paws.

- The Reversal Chant: Run fast, be safe, live free

Kia-Sharm: The reversal of Shana-Sharm, it will create a barrier to draw a fox in to ensnare them. Also referred to as Tu-shana-sharm.

Pakkara = the reversal of Pashanda. It will leave it's victim in a trance, rendering them harmless.

- The Chant: Feel my gerra, share my glance -- calm your terror, enter trance.

- The Reversal Chant: When you feel my gentle claw, you shall be in trance no more.

Tuu-maa-sharm = the reversal of Maa-Sharm.  Maa becomes leeched froman unwilling victim, often used with Pakkara. There is no chant.

Wolves live in Bishars. The only Bishars are: Bishar of Claw, Bishar of Fang, Bishar of Growl. A wolf will always (unless rendered useless to the pack) have their name end in their Bishar name, (an example would be Farraclaw, Orrùfang, and Ravengrowl)

Bishar of Fang and Bishar of Claw are sworn enemies.

Wolves believe Canista is Queen Canista.

The Bishars live in the Tundra.

Wolves may receive messages from their ancestors, to which they will follow.

Wolves believe foxes are horrid creatures, and are referred to as 'Fox-Ka'

--

Not much is known about dogs, they serve the furless.

--

Not much is known about coyotes, the live and hunt in packs, but do not live in the tundra.

-- (directly from the wiki. Lifesaver.)

Canista is the one pictured as the mother of all canines; wild and domesticated. The wild canines use the nickname "cubs of Canista" when speaking of every canine breed. Breeds like foxes, wolves, and coyotes all honor and worship under Canista, and have a few natural things they consider ''symbols'' of Canista. Wolves and coyotes even include weather as signs of Canista, such as rain, Red Sun, and a few more signs. It is stated in the book Terms, that Canista's lights are a constellation of stars that are the basis of a fox's maa. The wild canines think of her as their powerful mother who lived on Earth and then went up to Heaven later.

--

The Elders = A group of foxes who Mastered their skills (1) beyond the spell boundaries. They are allied with the black fox.

--

The black fox = a fox with stained, or natural black fur. They fully Mastered all forms of Foxcraft beyond what a normal fox should be able to.
