Mixed Feelings

Krystal raced back in the room from the garage with he staff. She came back horrified to see Fox kissing Angel.

Angel looked at Krystal and said,

"I guess he did have something to hide after all."

Then she bolted out the door. Krystal stood in her place seemingly frozen.

Fox fell from his midair position.

"Oof!" he said on the floor, dazed.

"This can't be happening, no, it can't be." Krystal teared up.

"KRYSTAL! I DID NOT MEAN TO KISS HER, IT MEANT NOTHING!" Fox wailed.

"Y-You and h-h-her." Krystal stammered, "Together. No, this can't be happening."

Fox got up and went over to comfort her, but Krystal pushed him away. Fox was taken aback by this.

"Krystal you have to know I never did ANYTHING with her!"

But the image kept replaying in the young Vixens mind.

A growing rage boiled to the surface.

"Krystal I know that your mad," Fox started.

The next thing Fox knew, he found himself on the floor green energy pulsing around him. He looked up and saw Krystal and he staff glowing green. Her eyes dark like charcoal.

"This is why you acted so strangely, I knew it!" Krystal screamed at Fox.

"Krystal, you heard me calling for help, besides where could she have even come from?"

"As my mate Fox, you are supposed to protect me and keep me safe and care for me, not make me wonder what you could be doing behind my back."

"Krystal I believe you about the house being haunted, I don't even know if that was Angel at all. And I'm so sorry for whatever I did. Or whatever I didn't do for you, I'm sorry."

"Sometimes," Krystal said staring at the staff and then at Fox, "Sometimes sorry just isn't enough."

And with that, Fox was shot by another green blast of light.

He screamed in agony.

Then Fox woke up drenched in sweat screaming. He looked around. Somehow he had fallen asleep at the table, his chicken wings were gone but the plate still had crumbs though. The whole ordeal was just a dream. Krystal hadn't seen Angel kiss him or anything. He was really glad at first, but then he remembered how Krystal did not what to make amends at dinner. He groggily got up and walked over to the couch. On the little table next to the couch was a picture. It was of he and Krystal at the Earth beach. He remembered that they had a disagreement but they patched things up there.

'Why couldn't they just do that here? Why was being Krystal's mate so hard. At first Fox blamed himself. But the more he though about it the more he felt that Krystal was the one being unfair. Maybe she was the problem.' he thought.

Fox turned towards the dinning area and saw Krystal looking at him.

Fox wished he hadn't thought that, right when Krystal walked in.

Sure Krystal got angry before but she usually would be in tears afterward. But Fox not even in his dream could imagine just how pissed off Krystal could be.

After a tense 5 seconds Krystal started walking towards Fox.

Even though he knew for sure this was Krystal and not some messed up dream for once it might be a better idea to run, fast.

Fox started to back away. That's when Krystal quickened her pace.

He tripped and fell.

Krystal leaped on top of him.

Fox had nothing to say.

She lean closer with a scowl baring her teeth.

Fox shut his eyes and waited for the worst.

Then she kissed him on the nose.

Fox opened his eyes relieved.

"Oh wow, I thought you were going to hurt me for what I thought."

Krystal half smiled and said, "Oh I am."

"Wait wha-"

Krystal slapped Fox across the face. Very hard.

She looked at him with a cross look.

"Don't you dare ever blame me for your problems ever again, you hear me?"

But Fox was mad, he felt a little betrayed.

"Do you hear me?" Krystal yelled.

"I don't-"

Krystal leaned in and kissed him.

"Now do you hear me?"

Fox said nothing for a while, then he finally said.

"Yes." but he said this very quietly.

"Good," said Krystal getting up off of Fox, "By the way I ate all your chicken wings. They were good."

Fox smirked, "I knew it was you."

"Of course who else could it have been." She asked going to the table to take Foxes plate away.

Fox didn't even dare think who it was no doubt a ploy.

Fox got up and walked to the steps.

"Could I please sleep in the bed?"

Krystal looked up and thought about it for a moment.

"Fine but no sex."

Fox didn't care, he just wanted to be with Krystal.

They both went upstairs and got into the bed, after brushing their teeth of course.

They looked up through the skylight window on the ceiling.

"Krystal?" Fox asked turning his head.

"Yes?" Krystal responded softly turning her head to face Fox.

"I love you." He said, his green eyes shimmering.

"I know Fox, I love you too."

They both turned over and went to sleep, a peaceful sleep too.

The next morning Fox woke up to find Krystal snuggled up against him and his arm around her. He yawned looked outside and saw the bright pink sky. Birds were chirping and singing as the grass had that fresh morning dew.

Ever since they moved in to the new house they never really took the time to enjoy it.

He carefully got out of bed, as to not disturb Krystal. She stirred but did not wake up. He stretched and  got dressed. Then he went downstairs. He poured a special drink out into a cup for himself, it was from Earth, known as coffee.

He looked over to the living room. To his surprise there was baby stuff all over in a clean fashion. A crib, a high chair, toys, pacifier, bottle, and other such instruments and tools for a baby.

In the middle of the controlled mess was a note.

It read,

'This is courtesy of the Star Fox team, given with love and care from Slippy, Falco, and Peppy. Also rushed to you by Katt.'

Then in Falco's hand writing  it read,

'We are all so very proud of you and Krystal, congratulations on your baby. We hope this makes it easier for you guys, we are here for you every step of the way. With care from The Star Fox team and Katt. take care.'

Fox was so happy. He put the note on the new refrigerator and moved all the baby stuff to the room that he and Krystal set aside for the baby.

He was just shutting the door, to the room when his very own goddess came down the steps.

"Good morning my sweet, how did you sleep?"

"Well actually, how about you?"

"Surprisingly me too." Fox said edging away from the room.

"What were you doing?"

"Oh I was just checking to make sure the room was still goo enough for the baby."

"Oh, okay?" Krystal said, "You do realize that the room will be totally fine when the baby gets here." Krystal looked down at her stomach.

"Yeah I know, but you can't be too careful." said Fox pouring her some of the coffee he paid dearly for.

She drank some and said,

"Why would you pay so much for black dirty water?"

"The owner of the store selling it said to try it with cream. Which I happened to buy."

He went into the fridge and pulled out a quart of cream.

"Take as much as you want." he said.

Krystal poured a generous amount and the 'black dirty water' turned brown.

She took a sip and said, "Much better."

Fox smiled, he liked his black just the way it was. (Out of context that would sound very weird LMAO)

Then there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Fox said setting down his coffee.

He walked over to the front door and opened it with a smile.

The smile ended abruptly.

"Who is it Fox?" Krystal asked setting her coffee down as well.

Fox didn't say anything.

Krystal walked over to see who it was. Over Foxes shoulder she saw someone she didn't want to see.

Angel.
