Chapter 2
I sniffed around, searching for even the slightest hint of food. It was hard work to hunt for two when I was so used to just hunting for myself, living off mice, rabbits, and voles that were so big to me. Soon I came upon a big brown rabbit, struggling to swim in a deep, cinnamon colored puddle of water. I pounced on its back and pinned it to the bottom of the puddle. It struggled to get up and I struggled to stay on its back. Finally it stopped thrashing and moving. I picked it up by the back of its neck and dashed back home.
Arriving at the abandoned barn, I saw lapis in the corner. She was simply staring at me, a very quiet and low growl rising in her throat. I dropped the rabbit in front of her and backed off. She got up, slowly and seemingly painfully, grabbed the rabbit, curled back into a ball and snacked on the brown creature. Luckily for me, I had a cache of a chicken and a half, and 2 eggs.
It was then, while eating the half-chicken in silence, I looked at what lapis looked like in detail. Her coat was extremely pale grey, almost white, with darker silver tips. This was an odd sort of grey, that looked slightly blue in the light, and even more cerulean in the dim light of sunrise and sunset. Like almost all foxes, her tail was tipped white. Her eyes were two of the bluest things I have ever seen. There was a dark, diamond shaped patch of her on her chest that had sharp edges and more of the dark silver hairs.
I have to admit, she does look a bit nice.
It wasn't just the pretty colors of her fur or eyes, her her perfectly slim snout and body with long and pointy ears and thick, long, full brush. It was also how I had seen her act around Steven. She was so nice and funny, and there was a special sparkle in her eyes that I would never see in her eyes when she knew I was around.
BANG.

I would just like to apologize for the short chapter and the fact that I'm an absolute shameless trash bag.
