Chapter 32-
Tough breakup

I roll my eyes as Hottie and Sarah don't stop flirting as we meet on the walk (very short, seeming I now live next door) to Ethan's house.

Sarah opens the door and they stand in the doorway talking a little to Ethan, then that's when Rory comes running down the stairs and past me, saying something about a cat...

I slip past the two undead creatures and the seer and join Benny in the lounge room, he smiles at me as I walk towards him, he leans down a little and kisses me as a greeting, but before either of us could say anything, Sarah and Ethan walk over.

"I don't think you should be hanging with Hottie so much." Ethan says, "What? Are you like my guidance counsellor or something?" Sarah bites back.

"Just trust me." Ethan says, Hottie walking over, "You never know when his past will catch up to him." Ethan adds, then the door opens and two Egyptian, shirtless men walk in.

Well alright then.

"Ha! We have found you at last!" The one on the left says, Ethan running towards Benny and I who ended up behind a couch, "You may have vowed never to join the underworld without a bride, but you may not join the living." He adds.

"You sure you got the right house?" Sarah asks, "The eternal guards of the pharaoh. They have sworn to ensure that I serve my sentence for eternity." Hottie explains. "Otherwise, what is the point in executing someone?" The one of the left asks as they step forward.

"Well, he's got a point." I think aloud, and Benny nods. "It's time for a new line of work." Sarah says, hissing at the guards with her fangs. "Fear not, Sarah. I shall deal with these vermin." Hottie says, then he gets some golden stick thing and with a flick of his wrist, a golden shield looms over the guards.

"The crook of Osiris!" The one of the left says, "I sensed it might come in useful in my travels. A'nen Spi!" Hottie says, and with a whoosh the guards are gone.

"Ok, but did he have to-" Benny cuts me off as he slams his hand over my mouth. Rude... "Nice moves." Sarah compliments Hottie, we get up as Ethan says, "I was totally about to do all that!"

"Our victory is short lived. But the guards with live again. I've merely returned them to their tombs. But they will not rest until I've returned home." Hottie explains, "So, you're the mummy?" Sarah asks, "We tried to tell you." Ethan states, but Sarah turns and flashes her eyes at us, "You knew about this?" She asks.

Benny and I shrug a little, the heck are we meant to say!?

Sarah turns back around to Hottie, "I wanted to tell you, but I feared my being an undead creature might frighten you away. I see now you have secrets of your own." Hottie says, lifting Sarah's chin with his hand.

Sarah tried to hide her fangs behind her hand but Hottie takes it away, "No, don't. They're beautiful." He says, they smile at each other and lean in, but a cat ruins it.

Hottie bows down to the creature, "What's wrong?" Sarah asks, "You allergic or something?" Ethan asks and I can't help but roll my eyes.

"Cats are the guardians of the afterlife. This one speaks to me." Hottie explains, "Is it nap time?" Benny jokes and I smile, Hottie then meets my eyes, "You. The cat will not speak with you here." He says, I raise an eyebrow, "Uh, why?" I ask. "You smell of canine." He states simply.

I roll my eyes and leaving the room, Benny follows me for some reason. "That cats a douche." He states, I laugh a little, "Never liked them anyway, I was more of a dog person." I state, "Hmm, I wonder why." Benny says sarcastically, Ethan coughs and we look up, Ethan motions us back to the lounge room to see Hottie leave and Rory enter.

"Here, Mr. Kitty-Kitty-Kitty!" Rory coos, spotting the cat, "Hey, guys. Did I miss anything?" Rory asks.

"Can you believe that guy?" Ethan asks, after explaining a little bit about what Hottie said, " "Seal our fate in the stars". Really?" Ethan asks, "I know, right? Sarah totally ate it up!" Benny says, as the boys sit in the chairs I settle for the bed, "Yeah, well... I bet he stole it from some corny old... Egyptian pop song or something!" Ethan complains.

I sigh, "Dude, let it go. Rotting Romeo's going back to Ragsville and for once we don't have to do anything." I state happily, "Yeah, you're right." Ethan says, "Well, I promise, from now on he's out of my mind." Ethan adds.

"Oh, thank goodness!" Benny says leaning back in his chair, smiling over at me, "Ha! I got 'em!" Ethan says, "Oh for f- what now?" I ask.

"That "fate in the stars" line! He did steal it! I'm so telling Sarah." Ethan says, "Ancient Egypt had pop songs?" Benny asks, "Well, not quite. It's from some ritual." Ethan explains, then he stops and reads, "Uh oh. Look like it means he's taking Sarah to the underworld!" Ethan says.

"That club on Main Street? Lame." Benny claims, is it bad to hit your boyfriend? "The other Underworld, genius."

I sit with Benny as his grandma explains what'll happen to Sarah if she drinks the tea.

"Good to know." Benny says, getting his phone from his pocket and calling Ethan, "Hey, dude. Heh... we have a problem."

As Rory speed runs the dork duo and I to the museum, I was sure I'd fall out of the trolley if Benny hadn't grabbed me last minute. "Thanks for the lift, Rory." Ethan says, although he looks horrible.

"I think I'm going to be sick." Benny states as he gets out of the trolley, helping me a little. "Halt!" We hear the guards say.

Ah shizzles.

"None may disrupt Hottie Ho-tep's journey to the underworld!" The one of the right says, "Especially Sarah's male friend who cannot take a hint!" The other says.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait. First you're trying to take him out, and now you're chaperoning his date? What gives?" Benny asks, "It is our duty to make sure he returns to the underworld. He is doing so." The one of the right explains.

Rory steps forward, "I'll handle this." He says, but when he hears a meow, he's off.

I sigh, flicking my hand to show my claws, "I got this." I state growling at the two males, they start to move forward with their spears and I start to step back, the boys running to the other side of the road.

The darker tonnes one tries to cut me with his sword but I dodge, the other swipes and I just miss the sharp edge, but I end up cutting my arm a little. I claw at them but they dodge it and instead the lighter one kicks me.

I'm about to attack again when I hear a truck, I smirk and run to the boys, "What are you-" I cut Ethan off, "Shut up and trust me."

The two men start to walk towards up but stop, "Wait! What is that?" The lighter one asks, "It is though two stars have fallen from the heavens and are-" he's cut off as the truck hits them and their nothing but dust and shoes.

"Well..." Ethan mumbles out, Benny looks at my arm where try blood is, "Are you ok?" He asks, "Yeah, it's healed, just got some blood and way not. I'm fine." I smile and he smiles back, but I can see the fear in his eyes.

We head over to the museum and run into the room just as Sarah was about to drink the tea, "Sarah, no!" Ethan yells, "Seriously, guys?" Sarah asks annoyed, "Sarah, if you drink that, you'll be be sent to the underworld." I explain in lack of detail.

Sarah turns to Hottie, "Hottie, is that true?" She asks, "My Sarah. Earthly life is but a fleeting dream. A new life awaits." He says, trying to persuade her... somehow...

"Save it for the afterlife. We're done." Sarah sasses, but as she starts walking away Hottie grabs her arm, "I will not let you just walk away from destiny." Hottie says, "Hottie, you're cute. But you're not gonna stay cute if you don't let me go!" She yells at him, then hisses.

As she walks off, he gets his magic wand, staff, thingy and freezes Sarah. "Time to man up." Ethan says to Benny as he gets his fists in fight positions, Hottie then shooting some magic to scarab bettors and they turn real, flying to Benny and Ethan.

I growl at him and he smirks, he clicks his fingers and I start slowly sinking into the ground, ah shit.

"Sarah, we all have to go eventually. Anubis-resut!" Hottie says and a sarcophagus starts to open, revealing a bright blue light. "Why do all hot guys have to be such jerks?" Sarah asks.

"Headgear! This yours?" Ethan asks as he grabs a jar, "No, don't-" Hotties cut off as Ethan starts shaking the jar, which what I believe has Hotties heart.

Hotties magic starts wearing off, "Sarah, please. You're breaking my heart!" Hottie says, and he looks like he's in actual pain too...

"I'd say, 'see you in the next life' but that's not gonna happen." She says as she pushes him into the portal, closes the sarcophagus. And everything magic related stops. But I'm still partly in the floor as the sand is slowly disappearing, Benny runs over and grabs my hand, pulling me out before the sand turns back into the museum floor.

The four of us all look at each other, "That was a harsh break up." Benny states, and I can't help but laugh.

Ok so I guess when I said 'tomorrow' I meant a month later... I'm really sorry! I've had heaps of school work and a little too many family and social problems. But here you go! I'm going to try and get the next one up this week (forcing myself) but did you know, we have 5 episodes left, which means about 10 chapters.
If you listen closely, you can hear me screaming.
