Chapter 29-
Babysitting a babysitter

"Thanks so much for coming you two." Sam (Ethan's mum) says as she pours snacks into a bowl, "Okay, this'll be great. It'll be fun. Just call me if you smell smoke." She finishes, Ethan and I looking at each other with our eyes widened.

"Okay." Sarah says, nodding, as the doorbell rings. It's at this moment I regret helping Sarah with babysitting.

Sam walks off to answer the door, "So we have to babysit you while you babysit two 9 year olds?" Sarah asks, as Ethan nods.

"Seriously? How bad can they be?" Sarah adds, I sigh, "Imagine a giant piranha that walks on land. Now give it rabies. And a brother." I answer, knowing how bad they are, "I'd rather babysit the two piranha's." Ethan adds.

"Ethan, you remember the boys?" The boys' mother asks as she walks in with the twins. "They're being so nice and quiet!" She says as they walk away, "They're up to something, I know it! So, let's go, shall we, before they... you know." She says, grabbing Sam's hand, tugging her to the door.

"No I don't know. Why are we running?" Sam asks worried as she leaves the house. The three of us then turn to the table where the kids are suspiciously drawing, Ethan cocking his nerf gun.

(Pfft- sorry)

"Oooo, kids drawing. Real scary. Where should we hide?" Sarah asks sarcastically, "I'm keeping this at the ready." Ethan says holding up his gun.

After a few minutes, I end up grabbing an apple, curse me for being hungry all the damn time.

"They're so quiet." Sarah says, "Yeah... Too quiet." I reply, eyeing the kids suspiciously. "I bet they're drawing up a plan to destroy us. Devising a sinister trap that at any second's gonna suddenly GET US. Just wait for it..." Ethan says, I nod along.

It was weird, the last two times I came over, once with Benny, once not, the kids were pure evil, but now they're fine...

"Wait for it..." Ethan adds, "Benny!" I jump and kick the person who jumps out of nowhere, Benny hugs his stomach in pain, "Oh! Benny, sorry!" I say apologetically, "Boo-ya!" Another voice calls, causing Ethan to shoot his nerf gun and it's bullet sticking to Rory's forehead.

"Hey! Is this for me barfing down your chimney?" Rory asks, "No, no. I just- wait, you what?" Ethan asks, "Nothing." Rory says with a poker face.

"I'm here to help battle the tornado twins." Rory says, "Yeah, me too. Are they here yet? I don't see anybody bleeding..." Benny asks, "See for yourself." Ethan says as we all turn to the twins.

"Hey boys, this is Benny and Rory." Ethan says, the twins look at us in sync, "Hello Benny and Rory." They say at the same time, creeping me out.

"Whoa. That is a tornado of weird." Rory says, "Okay, kids speaking in unison. That's never good." Benny points out, everyone else nodding slightly.

Then there's a knock causing everyone to practically poop their pants. We turn to see Erica at the door, "Are we going or what? I'm starving." Erica says, Sarah sighs, "Coming, Erica." Sarah says getting her stuff.

"Wait, going? Going where?" Ethan asks, "New safety rule from the council- they want us to hunt in pairs." Sarah says, "So I have to watch this 'vegetarian vampire' pick up her blood salad from a delivery truck." Erica rolls her eyes.

"Beats watching you choose your meal: 'He's so stringy. He's too old. I hate her outfit.'" Sarah complains, "People with bad taste, taste bad. What?" Erica asks, were silent, "More stalk, less talk." Erica says.

"You were supposed to be part of my back up. You can't leave me alone with them!" Ethan says, "What? Are you afraid their gonna colour outside the lines?" Erica asks, Benny and I snicker slightly, "I won't be long. And you have Abigail for back up, and Jane. Right you two?" Sarah asks.

"Yep." I answer simply, "You betcha." Jane salutes. Then Sarah's gone. "What now? Do I check their crayons for sharp edges?" Ethan asks, "Dude, relax. Can't you see? They know what they're up against. In their eyes, were the grown-ups." Benny says.

"Yeah... One of us are..." I mumble, "Yeah! Grown-ups! Let's go play video games!" Rory yells, Benny cheering as the boys run up stairs.

"And that proves my point." I sigh, "You going to be alright Jane?" I ask, she smiles and nods. I smile and walk upstairs to find the boys.

"Kill the queen, destroy the hive." Ethan instructs, "But it's more fun shooting Rory!" Benny says, doing as he says, "Not for Rory!" Rory argues.

"Should we check on the kids?" Ethan asks, causing me to look up from my book, "Hey, creep brothers! If your okay, say nothing." Benny yells, causing me to roll my eyes, "They're fine." Benny says after the silence, minus the video game noise.

I sigh and just look down to my book, the boys keep arguing then Benny asks Rory for snacks, he then runs back with two bags of chips, "Guys? Those boys ain't right." Rory says as he has a paint mark around his face.

I quickly get up, making sure to mark my book and we all head down stairs, "Okay, I've been obsessed before but this is just odd." I say, looking at the pictures around the walls. "We reach downstairs and Rory points at one of the twins, "That one painted my face!" He says, "Wait, wait, it was that one." He says looking at the other.

"Darn- which one is the evil one?" Rory asks, Ethan hesitates but walks towards one of the twins, "Uh, hey little dude, what's going on?" He asks, touching his shoulder then spacing out for a couple seconds.

"Val Mudrap is coming." They all say together, I raise an eyebrow, "Wait what. Who?" I ask confused, "We've got a problem." Ethan says, no shit Sherlock.

Then the door opens, "Your mums home." Benny says with a high pitched voice. Sam moves us out of the way and looks around, and that's when she starts yelling.

The girls and I start walking up to the boys and Erica hisses at them, and I have to pull her back, "She's so hungry she can't control her fangs and I'm so hungry I can't control her!" Sarah yells, "Well at least I'm h-" Erica cuts me off with a hiss, "What are you geeks gawking at?" She asks from behind her hand as two guys walk past.

"You guys hungry? You want some of my lunch? It's fresh!" Rory asks, walking up with what seems to be a mouse in a bag. Erica, in a state of anger, hits the bag out of Rory's hand causing the mouse to scuttle away, "Mr. Lunch no!" Rory yells, crawling after it.

"No rats! We need real food and this town is running on empty." Sarah says, "So? Just fly over to the next town and get some takeout." Benny says, "The vampire council says that can cause a turf war." I explain, already talking about these things with the girls.

"Can't you just take a small nibble of a student- not me, of course." Ethan says, "Teenagers are full of junk food and hormones. Do you have any idea what that an do to your skin?" Erica asks, "What about Abigail? No offence, but she can heal and she's not one for acting like an average teenager?" Ethan suggests.

"That could work but, a) She doesn't want to have any teenager blood. b) werewolf blood isn't very healthy for vampires." I explain, Erica walks off annoyed.

"She's a picky eater. And my blood-delivery guy vanished. Whatever's happening, un-happen it!" Sarah yells, causing me to jump a little, then she walks off.

"Okay, we need to go home and come up with a plan." Ethan says, "Wait! No adults? I have been dreaming of this my whole life. We can do anything we want! Anything!" Benny cheers, Ethan and I laugh slightly.

"While we're doing what ever he's thinking, mind explaining the situation?" I ask Ethan, and he accepts.

I UPDATED! WHAT!?
Sorry, I was busy sleeping and am currently obsessed with a show called Voltron: LD, so I was busy crying because of that.
But I updated! Next chapter will be up when I'm done writing it and I should do the next episode soon. I'm probably going to start a plan that I do it every Friday, I dunno.
