Time passes by seconds to minutes. Not a single word was uttered when the injector came.

The whole town was worried about this and some were wondering, "what happened?" "Where's Steven and the gems?"

Questions that were left for them to wonder and discuss. None had known the cause and none had known what happen.

Steven was still pacing back and forth, scared and anxious about a certain girl he had just met before the injector came.

It may seem that they both knew each other just a while back but something feels wrong, almost a feeling of he had seen that girl before.

STEVEN

"Um, Blue? Who's that girl over there?"

"Yrros I'm..."

"White...?"

"Steven? Are you ok?" A familiar voice spoke, coming from lapis who was standing in front of me with a worried expression.

"I'm...I'm fine Lapis, just thinking..." I half-lied, knowing that I wasn't thinking randomly but just thinking about memory.

"Are you sure?" Peridot then spoke, with worried laced on her voice, trying not to sound to panic because of this new situation.

"Yeah I'm fine, So where were we again?" I asked since we had to conclude some things without getting straight to the point where nonsense should stand.

"Ok, As we were saying. Celine and I have a contradiction on the pink substance that is inside the injector and we might just think that it's just injecting it but what are the possibilities of it to this planet?" Peridot briefly explained a bit of the piece of what could happen but she was still unsure if it's hurting Earth.

"I think we might have to experiment this further or moreover take a closer angle as to what the substance is doing," Celine added, getting on the level as Peridot was saying and suggesting that they should investigate more.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to investigate a bit," I said, without hinting anyone that I'm worried. I scanned the place for any possibility that she might be here somewhere but all I see was Spinel running around and admiring the place.

(Y/n) would have loved the view from up here if we were done with this catastrophe...

A small smile crept on my face as I wandered off the things we can do after this. I wanted to know more about her and despite the future, I would never hold back.

"So...Steven, did she rode off from that thing?" Celine asks, curious if it was true that spinel was the one who rode it.

"Well yeah, and she also said that my human half wouldn't stand a chance against her injector," I confirmed her question.

"What does that mean?" Lapis added, confused as to what it means. Even I couldn't figure it out for myself. At the corner of my eye, I could see Bismuth, thinking deeply about what I had said, not noticing that she was getting near the two.

Ruby growled and put her arms on the side as a sign of protection to her Saphire, making Bismuth backed off with an apologetic grin.

For some reason, this takes me back where Spinel was going to reform. I had my protective stance for (Y/n) and all I did think about was her safety.

Even if she can take care of herself, I still needed to protect her but then I knew something was off between Connie and her.

It wasn't just their skin color or (y/n) having a gem. It's just a dark entity trying to reach out to her gem or maybe even her life. I grew more worried as soon as I thought about that dark entity.

"Hey, Steven? Are you ok? Just tell us what. were worried." Lapis softly said as the whole group except for Ruby, Saphire, and Spinel gathered around me with concern faces.

I shook my head and smiled at them. "Everything is fine, It's nothing to worry about," I said, trying to hide the fact of what I'm still figuring out.

"Ok, since we don't know what she had meant. Why don't we just ask her?" Peridot continued, trying to lighten up the mood.

The sooner that this is done, I can finally have my happily ever after...with her...

"Well here's the thing..." before I could say what I wanted, someone had to disturb me with poking my shoulders.

This made me pissed off a little but as soon as that certain figure showed up. It was Spinel herself who shouted "Surprise." To try and scare me.

"Here she is...my new best friend Spinel," I said, with my other arm link to hers while I had the other on my neck. I didn't want to lie to them since this gem tried to kill me and (Y/n).

With my unsureness, I still proceeded on doing so to get some answers. "A pleasure to meet you all." Spinel greeted with a graceful bow towards them.

This left they're expressions turn into shock due to her not attacking them or me. I said it myself that she tried to kill me and (Y/n) so I guess I didn't fully give the few little details on what happened.

"I thought you said she was just trying to kill you?!" Bismuth shouted, surprisingly affected by what I had said that didn't fill in with the true details of it.

"Wow quick turn-around," Lapis spoke, surprised that it wasn't the big deal with the story of the details I wanted to add. "No kidding, It took me months to stop trying to kill Steven," Peridot added, who now changed the subject of how they went on or moved on from trying to kill me.

They sure love to joke around in this kind of situation...

Soren

This was nothing good at all...

First, (Y/n)'s gone then came me, who got swoop up from the ground to scare the shiz out of me and now they're laughing about this?!?

How can this help?!

"If you wanna go for it, Then go," Celine spoke, with her voice sounding a bit annoyed towards me. She must have noticed my feeling towards them.

"And so? Why do I even bother to listen to you? I can do whatever I want," I said, smirking towards her as she glared at me with a venomous sneer.

Women can sometimes be scary at this point...

With little time left, the three had stopped laughing and continued to advance to their duties of figuring out what has been going on.

"Alright, Let's see this thing that she hit you with," Peridot said as Steven takes out the weapon that Spinel used to attack him and (Y/n).

He was scared to even touch it but had no choice but to let them inspect it without caution. "Woah, was there like a laser or..."

"Be careful with that!" Bismuth panicked as Peridot peaked inside of it on where the scythe would come out with a press of a single button.

It was a good save that Peridot hasn't accidentally found the button herself to activate the thing that nearly killed both of the hybrids.

"It's a..."

"Rejuvenator..."

A weak female voice spoke from where the elevator was located. She had large bruises all over her body and she had been in a weaker state.

"(Y/n)?! Oh stars, Are you ok?!" Celine rushed towards her as her friend was about to faint from the lack of energy she had wasted.

She had a brown satchel on her shoulder, containing the music box and other secrets left for her to solve. The action that she caused made the others rushed towards her with worried.

Soren and Steven were more worried than the others, hinting that they cared for her more. Nothing more, nothing less, those two were into her when they separately both met her the first moon.

"She's badly injured! We have to get her to the hospital now!" Celine shouted as she tries to tell herself that she's fine.

"It's too risky and it would take time to go there...just let her rest here," Steven said as he tucks in a few of her hair strands behind her ear.

Soren only stared at her with a worried expression as he was beside Steven.

"Recker, Soren and I will bring her somewhere to rest. While you guys figure this out," Celine says, volunteering herself and the two to take (Y/n) somewhere to rest up.

Steven then nodded, accepting her trust towards them even if they just met but he'd still get a bad feeling from Soren, who was glaring at him a while back.

Spinel maintained her goofy self but couldn't help the fact that her friend was badly injured, not ever knowing that it was her fault.

The satchel still lays on the ground as the four were off down to find a place for her to rest up and regain some energy. Spinely notices the satchel, walking towards it and picking it up.

The others looked at him with sympathetic apologies for his worriedness towards (Y/n). It would have been bad if something happened to her as she was somewhere else.

That black entity still lingers on Steven's mind but tried to ignore the feeling that it was real. "About the rejuvenator...?" Steven asks out of curiosity as he tries to fight back his mind.

Bismuth then checks if its the rejuvenator by pressing the button to summon its existence. This made Bismuth more into a crisis of being alarmed towards a simple weapon.

She knew this before when she first witnessed the other bismuth's re-creating the impossible weapon to wipe out any memory.

"Homeworld used to use these things on gems who started steppin' out of line..." Bismuth explained, now growing a bit afraid and anxious about how to bring through this information.

"One hit with this...They're back to how they made you," Bismuth finally said, glancing towards Ruby and Saphire.

Ruby notices her gesture towards them and gave her a defensive and cold glare towards her, doing everything she can to protect her Saphire. "What are you looking at..."

"Oh, my Stars I touched it! I could have lost all my character development- Wait...how did you survive getting hit by that thing, Steven?" Peridot said, sounding a bit unbelievable about what had happened to him.

Not to seem rude in all of this. The rest did several questions towards him, almost bashing up his mind with unanswered mysteries about his very existence.

"I...I think I didn't..." Steven looked down, feeling more anxious as ever. "My human half kept me from poofing but...but my gem half, It took the hit..." The sound of it, almost in pain from Steven. He took it up from the next level of stress to a distress scenario.

"She sent me back! It's like I'm a kid again, I can barely control my powers!" Steven ranted, setting off a large impact of stress and anxiousness developing in his voice.

The others looked at him worried while Spinel was examining the satchel including the music box itself. She had a curious glance over the satchel, remembering a few memories she had lost over the years.

The music box, remembering that (Y/n)'s father mentioned a trinket that can open a secret to all.

That trinket must be somewhere near homeworld or where had Spinel stayed in Pink's Garden which was once a creation of a human being.

"How do we reverse this?" Steven asks, now entirely scared of what to say next as Bismuth hands over the Rejuvenator to him. "Oh no...Do I need to get the diamonds?"

If the Diamonds knew about it especially White...They might have no other choice but to decline or to continue what she's looking for to bring back...

"You're the one with healing powers..." Lapis assured, sounding not a bit rude towards Steven since she has no intention of making him feel bad. "If anyone can fix this, it's you..."

"I can't believe this...for the first time in years, everyone's in danger, everybody needs me including (Y/n) and I...I'm useless," Steven says, buffering and panicking over everything, looking over to the injector with his hand covering his mouth, more stress and the undecidable filling the whole conversation.

He doesn't want anyone to get hurt or shatter or either let (Y/n) in pain for what he had brought out that he doesn't know. All he wanted to be a peaceful life with his family, and (Y/n) now being a part of them and being his only motivation to stand tall.

"Bismuth...? What do we do?" Steven asked Bismuth, clearly begging for an answer from anyone. "I'm sorry Steven...I don't know..." Bismuth sadly responded with a disappointed expression, looking down the floor with no answer to back up with.

"Garnet would know what to do.." Steven muttered while his attention was upon both Ruby and Saphire. Ruby, being close to bursting out to kill someone while he had his eyes locked on Steven with suspicion while Saphire wasn't paying attention and was chilling, almost reminding him of Garnet.

"Garnet...always knows what to do." He was almost at the edge of tears, feeling insecure and useless for not doing anything then just doing his job to figure something out and his motivation now fading off.

But here comes Spinel with a happy pill in place, doing the same thing to cheer him up. "Hey! Don't be sad," Spinel assured in the most possible way to make a person guilty but not completely knowing that it was her that had felt it.

She had her arm around Steven, seaming as if she was trying her best to cheer someone up or to make sure she had assured him in the best way she could think of, being the jolly one she is.

"Your new best friend," She started her trick of being goofy at first to the second time she had said before turning into the more goofy move as she wraps herself around Steven, telling him the fourth time before saying, "Spinel is here!" With a smile.

She giggled and cartwheeled around Steven as she finally stops in front of him with a headstand.

In Steven's point, he could see from between that it reminded him how fusion would work if both were willing to express.

His first fusion was Stevonnie which was memorable throughout their history together. Connie, being his first friend was the only one he could rely on but now it's left uncertain for him.

He now knew she has a sister but what confuses him is which...

Feeling as if the things he had a cause, left him down in the dumps.

Here we are in the future...

He sats down, bringing out his phone and showing what it seems to be their picture a few hours ago when this all started. That day where he can finally settle in only to see that its just a memory from the past that can never be rewritten.

Just a second ago,
we were singing this song...
And now, they're gone...

Steven pointed out to Spinel who only had a gleeful persona. She winked at him surprisingly showing that everything will be fine.

He just then had enough and gave in to his despair.

Happily Ever After,

Bismuth tries to encourage Steven to get up on his feet to try and start again.

She walks towards him with her expression seeming to be unto someone but shaked it off the thought.

When you go against the grain
There's always somebody around you can't trust

Bismuth glanced over to Spinel who had the brown satchel that belonged to (Y/n) around her shoulder as she seeks around to see anyone is suspicious but to conclude her actions, she shrugs.

That's why we've got to have eachother.
While we figure this out, we must.

She then gently grabs his arm as she brought him up on his feet again, trying to reach out that there's still hope.

Because we are the Crystal Gems,

Bismuth puts on a show by showing that they could go to do it. She walks off towards Peridot and Lapis with a determine look. Steven was astonished to see the determination in her expression as she put her arms around Lapis and Peridot who only seem happy about it, since now they finally found what they were made for.

As long as one of us in standing to brandish that star!

Steven showed his iconic light blue t-shirt as Bismuth pointed it out.

We'll find a way,

Bismuth began to do her pose, including the others. Peridot doing a crane pose, Lapis doing a somewhat slouched but strong pose and lastly Bismuth, pulling out the big guns in the most possible way she could show.

Steven wanted to stand down the offer but couldn't left out his worries towards (Y/n)'s condition. If only if he was there to support her on whatever she had in mind. Was this a wrong choice...?

A black figure wearing a cloak watches from a far, gripping it's cloak Anxiously. Waiting for something to happen or something that he could say.

That's if on cue, The black figure in a cloak smirks mischevously, as it disappears from the darkness. They'd knew when to strike if the time comes and they finally know how to engage or upset him.

Even it takes a thousand years to get them back, we will.

Bismuth pulls the pulley, bringing all of them down slowly to the ground floor. This time they we're ready but time couldn't tell which would cross paths.

They may not know who they are, but we do.
Believe me, Steven, I've known them longer.
They've seen them get through worse and come back stronger.

Bismuth runs over to a contraption filled with molten hot gold inside, being able to heat it's minerals was taking too long to cooked up but she finally manages to create one.

That's why I believe in them and I believe in you!

She poured the finishing touch to the newly made warp area, wrapped around the symbol of Steven Universe, himself.

The process of the flow continues down the shape of the star where Steven stands near it. The ooze was smooth and it didn't fell out of it's line. Steven admired the silk gold color as it finishes it's last destination, now creating a newly made gold line-up star.

"Alright, Let's put our heads together. There's gotta be a way for them to remember..." Steven, feeling determined to launch in the problem, tries to think carefully. "What if it's like a puzzle?" Spinel guessed. "Huh?"

"If we give them all the pieces, eventually they'll get the picture!" Spinel chimed with excitement, placing her fingers together, forming a simple square like camera, showing everyone, except for her.

"Spinel might be unto something here, I think it's a great idea to start," Celine said, almost fliping the tables around for everyone to be in shock at her sudden appearance.

The others nodded in acceptance for this idea of bringing them back and Little do they know that someone is gaining information from them. It wasn't Celine herself observing how this goes but it someone else's doing.

"If every experience they lost is a part of Who they are, we just have to give them back the pieces. One experience at a time." Steven said, slightly believing that this could work. He knew the gems since birth but didn't know the rest of their history as to how they resemble to their desires.

"Are you serious?" Lapis responded with no time to react or say the words she wanted to say. True, it was impossible for her to understand on how he would do it but giving it a little hope might give it a shot.

"That would take forever!" Peridot assumed and tried to ask herself the impossible. This was no hard done to fix up with just a single snap but the feeling that Steven wanted was the only thing she could strive for what's happening.

Celine was standing beside Peridot with her arms cross and small smile place within her face, delighted that Steven is coming back to his senses. His not only doing it for the gems but he'd do it for (Y/n).

"Exactly, So let's get started!" Steven says with energy back on track and his thoughts not failing him to rethink the bad memories.

They all gather up on top of the warp doing their signature pose while Celine watches them do they're thing with a small giggle escaping from her lips. 'If only (Y/n) could see this, she'd be flustered out from his cuteness' She thought to herself before walking off to check on the others.

Oh god, that took me a while to finish...

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this chapter and to be honest, I'm excited for the garden scene cause I have a lot to show in it and idk if it would be just like a frozen feeling or not cause I have a guess that it would be just like a frozen childhood scene where Anna and Elsa-

It's practically 4:33 Am here and yes, I risked my sleep schedule for this and I have to suffer from my modules so I'm screwed if my mom finds out that I don't do my modules quickly.
