My name is Samara Jade Mbeya. This is about how I met my best friend, Gavin. (Guy BFF) I'm in 10th grade and my book is sorta cheesy, but it is cute.

It all began in Fourth grade. I was home schooled till my parents got divorced. My mom put us into a private school while she went to work. My first few months were really fun! I developed my first crush, made a ton of new friends. Gavin was in my reading class and he was really kind to me. He had been at the school since kindergarten and he helped me learn everyone's names. We started to become better friends and I sorta liked him at the time. I told one girl named Cassandra and during assembly, she yelled, "Gavin!!! "Samara likes you!!!"
I was mortified. I turned as red as a tomato and I avoided him for the rest of the day. He didn't really talk to me until our fifth grade year. I was so mad at Cassandra. She became my "arch nemesis". Now we are pretty good friends, but I hated her after that incident. The year went on and I got over Gavin. Later, Jonathan and I started "dating". He was one of my best friends during the rest of the year. We are still close friends too. In March, I met my current BFF. Her name is Grace. We were playing outside during recess and we ran into each other. It was Friday, so our school got out earlier. She gave me her parents phone number and I literally called her that afternoon. We started sitting together at lunch and we became best friends since then.
