This story happened in a country named Zuy a few thousand years ago.

Sofia and her friends Annie and Andrew were sitting on the lawn of their house waiting for their grandmother.

An old lady who was in her mid-seventies walked towards them and sat on the old wooden chair.

The kids moved near her eagerly waiting for her stories.

Sofia: Granny, when will mom and dad come here?

Granny: Dear, you know our country's condition right? Then why are you asking the same question again?

Sofia: Because I miss them so much.

Annie & Andrew: We too miss our parents' granny.

The kids pouted sadly and their granny took them into a hug.

Sofia: Why are we like slaves here? Why are we fearing for those soldiers every time?

Annie: Can't we go to school and study granny?

Granny: You know, a few decades ago our country was the most prosperous!

Andrew: Really?

Granny: Yes Andrew...

Andrew: Then why are we slaves now?

Granny: Our Lord, Nichole, was ruling our country wisely. He conquered almost all nations on the continent. Our kingdom was the happiest and no one knew the meaning of the word poverty. We were living happily with all the wellness.
Suddenly one day our country was attacked by our enemies. The soldiers tried to capture the whole Kingdom. King Nichole did not know how to react immediately as we were lacking short of force. Within a night we had lost half of the soldiers due to this attack.
Your grandfather was the chief soldier of the king! His duty was to protect our Lord from the traitors. But the enemy's army attacked your grandfather first and made him unconscious. They had kidnapped our King and Queen from the palace and snatched our empire in the next few days.

Their granny shed a few tears sadly...

Annie: What happened then, Granny?

Granny: After gaining consciousness your grandfather traveled to a lot of countries to find our King, but he could not succeed in his attempts. They might have killed our King and Queen. When your grandfather was on his deathbed he said something to me.

Sofia: What was that?

Granny: "When an angel touches a four-leaf clover, the flowers will start blooming " this is what he said.

Andrew: What a four-leaf clover? Thats rare... And who is that angel?

Granny:  But that was the secret between the King and your Grandfather.

Annie: Ohh.. why are our parents suffering  now?

Granny: That was the trap by the enemies. They had left the elders and children alone in our country and took the young people as their slaves. Only once a year are they allowed to meet their families.

Sofia: When will these struggles end?

Granny: Everything will come to an end soon Sofia. Now go to sleep.

Sofia: We will play for some time and then sleep, granny.

Granny: Okay. But be careful! Don't get caught by the soldiers.

Andrew: Okay granny...

Sofia, Annie, and Andrew were walking in the streets to call their other friends.

Suddenly a few small white stones started falling on them indicating the arrival of the snowstorm.

The three didn't know what to do. They started running towards an old school building which was in very bad condition.

As they couldn't find any other shelter at that moment, they went inside it and saved themselves from the snowstorm.

The building was being monitored by the soldiers all day. But fortunately, the kids did not find any of them.

Annie: Sofia will the soldiers catch us?

Sofia: No Annie, the soldiers who would usually be standing near the school were not there today.

Annie: I'm scared Sofia... it's very dark here. Jane had told me lots of rumors about this school...

Andrew: Don't worry Annie. We are safe right now. Hold my hand tightly.. we'll escape from here soon...

After a few minutes, the wind had seemed to reduce, so they decided to go back to their homes.

Annie: Andrew, we didn't come this way.

Andrew: No Annie, we came by this way only.

Annie: No Andrew, there was a window near the door... I think we are lost... Jane had already warned me not to come here...

Sofia: Can you please stop worrying and come with us?

Sofia spoke angrily and walked forward but her leg hit something. She bent down and found a four-leaf clover on the floor.

Curiously she took it in her hand. One side of the clover was green while the other side was dried. She called her friends and showed it to them.

As she touched the clover, it started thundering inside the building. The wall of the building started breaking and a bright light appeared from the broken wall.

The kids got scared and went to a corner.

A tall man with a crown and scepter along with a woman with grand jewelry walked from the wall. They smiled at the kids.

Man: Thanks for giving life to us.

Sofia: Who are you?

Man: I'm King Nichole. She is your Queen Luna.

Sofia: Majesty! Are you alive?

King: Yes dear; the traitors froze us and imprisoned us behind this wall. We could not come out of their trap but I had to save my powers in a magical clover and hide it. That's why I left a clover here. This secret was known only to my chief soldier but no one found it till today. You people saved my life and our country from the traitors.

Annie: Will my parents come back to me?

Annie asked them innocently.

Queen: Yes dear! All the happiness of our country will be back from today.

The kids jumped in joy knowing the arrival of their parents.

King: You three will be declared as the prince and princesses of the country as you brought back the lost happiness.
