Chapter 77: The confession

The very next day, the couple boarded the plane early around 4:50 AM just so they could arrive in Korea 16 hours later on the next day to arrive at 10:00 AM. During the plane ride, Jimin laid his head on Jungkook's shoulder. Catching up on rest so when he gets to Korea, he wouldn't waste any second to talk to Yun-se and then to the family. Very soon, they would have their life planned out and their love guiding them through anything. There was no fear now and Jimin was ready to get off the plane to deliver the news to Yun-se now.

After the long hours on the plane, the couple finally arrived to Korea and felt filled with exhaustion from getting jet lagged. Jimin walked alongside with Jungkook and had the younger's arms wrapped around his while they dragged their luggages. "If you need to take a break to rest, you can. No pressure. We have a whole week to get it done." Jungkook said and gazed down to look at the tired younger. "It's morning too. We have the whole day ahead of us now."

"Mmm- no.. I-I have to do this. We'll just stop at home, drop off luggage and I'll go from there. You'll wait for me." Jimin added and fixed his glasses. I'll see Yun-se soon. I just need a little stretch." Jimin stated and kept walking with Jungkook. The two then caught a taxi cab ride to their house now. Even if Jimin didn't really live in Jungkook's house completely, he knew he would live under the same roof with the boy. And this was the future he longed to live through now. The fear within him drained out and only confidence overcame him for the confession.

As soon as they arrived back to Jungkook's place, Jimin let out a sigh while he dragged in his luggages and dropped them onto the living room ground. He was finally relieved to be back home with Jungkook. Alone and no work for a week. "Ah, home sweet home.." Jimin exhaled and ran into the bedroom to toss himself onto the bed. Having a little break before deciding to leave and meet Yun-se at the house.

"I'm glad you're happy to come home! We have a whole week to do this." Jungkook stated and dragged the luggages into the bedroom where he looked at Jimin lay his tired head against the pillows. "We didn't even last a month in Cozumel and you're already acting like you haven't seen your bed in ages!"

"My bed?~ don't you mean ours?" Giggled the man as Jungkook set the luggages down and himself onto the bed next to Jimin.

"Well, yes. Ours. Oh and, when you do this, please know I am ready for you to come back home so we can start a new chapter in our life. Together." Jungkook assured and turned over to look at Jimin under him. "I love you. Never forget that. If you can get Yun-se to agree but not your parents, that's okay! Yun-se matters for the divorce. If those greedy snobs don't agree... Then forget them." Jungkook added and caressed Jimin's face into a smile. "When are you planning to do it?"

"I'll be heading over there in a few minutes. Just let me lay here and I'll be on my way." Jimin whispered as Jungkook smiled and laid his head by Jimin, keeping his lovely gaze at Jimin the whole time. "Are you getting impatient?"

"No. I just want to know how long we have until our new life comes to us." Jungkook whispered and placed his arms around the older to close his eyes with Jimin in his arms, unaware that the younger pulled out his phone and took a quick picture with him by his side. Saving the precious moment they had together.

After a while, Jungkook was fast asleep and Jimin knew it was time. He wasn't tired now and was getting ready to face Yun-se. It was now or never. Jimin looked down at the younger and slowly moved in and gave him a kiss on the lips happily. "I love you, Jungkook. We'll be together again soon." Jimin added and placed his right hand over Jungkook's left hand. Jimin had his promise ring over his right hand ring finger while Jungkook had it over on his left hand. Longing to have Jimin bound to him. Jimin just knew after this was done, he would be able to slip the finger over onto his left happily with no guilt.

Jungkook then held Jimin's hand and made a smile as his eyes were still closed. "I love you too, Baby~" Jungkook added and pried his eyes open to give him a glistening gaze. "Good luck." Jungkook stated and kissed Jimin's lips before watching Jimin pull away and get the ring out of his luggage.

Jimin didn't even bother to slip on the wedding ring, so he placed it in his pocket before walking off to his other house where there was no doubt, Yun-se would be there too. There was a chance she'd be with her parents, but it was still morning so she must have been asleep. Then, Jimin left the house and started to dash down the streets to catch a bus since Jungkook did live far from his house. Along the way, Jimin took deep breaths and thought over the things he would say.

Each house he passed through the bus ride there, he felt his heart pound but, the only way he'd calm down was to think of Jungkook and gaze at the cute picture they took together just a while back at the house. "It'll be okay... Jungkook is waiting for me... My new life before me is waiting too. I don't need them to accept me. Just Yun-se..." Jimin thought in his head. Waiting in his seat until he gazed out at the familiar neighborhood he lived in. As soon as the bus came to a stop, Jimin knew that he was here.

He foucused his gaze at his house that stood down the street from the bus stop. Once Jimin got off, the man started to run. He had a sudden burst of energy that extended his hand out to the future he painted in his head. No longer having fear weigh him down. This was the day he always thought of ever since he got down on one knee before his best friend a few years back. Only Jungkook came across his mind at a stressful moment like this.

Jimin finally reached the house and took a breather while stepping up the steps onto the porch. He looked at the front door and finally walked up to it, panting slightly while he finally rose his hand up and knocked on the door quickly. Impatiently waiting for the door to swing open to talk to Yun-se. It wasn't until a few minutes later, he heard footsteps approaching the door and suddenly the door was unlocked and pulled open.

It was Yun-se. She opened the door to finally fix her confused stare at Jimin who suddenly appeared at the front door! Yun-se had a slik lavender robe over her purple night gown and her long hair tied into French braids. "J-Jimin? You're back! What happened?" Yun-se asked and walked up to the man and gave him a hug... Yet, the hug wasn't too tight like he expected her to hug him like always.

"I have a week off... But I need to tell you something." Jimin added as she pulled away from the hug and stepped back so he could walk in, but only then... She fixed her eyes on the ring he had on his right hand. However, their wedding ring wasn't on the left at all.

"Did you... Lose your ring?" Yun-se asked and this made Jimin fix his eyes on Yun-se's left hand to see her ring wasn't there either.

"I should ask you that as well." Jimin added while Yun-se walked over to the couch and sat down calmly. "Where's your ring?"

"I just woke up. Your move." Yun-se giggled as she looked at Jimin. Not even bothering to smile back. Just stare at the ground. Feeling guilty once more. "What's wrong...? Did you lose the ring in Cozumel? It's okay..." Yun-se claimed but Jimin shook his head in response.

"No... I have it..." Jimin whispered and digged in his pocket to take it out and place it over the glass table just before the couches as he sat down across from Yun-se. "I... Always had it... But I've never worn it since I left Korea. With Seokjin, Yoongi.... Jungkook..." Jimin admitted and watched Yun-se grow silent while she let out an exhale. "She must hate me now.." Jimin thought as he slowly started to tear up. He didn't know why, but the guilt of his best friend growing silent made him worry. "Don't hate me..."

"How could I hate you...?" Yun-se responded as she dropped her hand down to her silk robe pocket and took out her matching ring as well to place it next to Jimin's ring on the glass table. Silence fell across the room while Yun-se started to wipe her tears.

           "I-"

"I know..." Yun-se added and hugged herself while she looked at the rings on the table while her eyes filled with tears. "I know... about Jungkook... When you came back after your birthday... I found a hickey on your neck while you were asleep and you had Jungkook's sweater too. I was worried. I got scared and knew when we went out on that date after... I chose the place Jungkook works in on purpose. My Mother, she's been stalking him and did her research to know where he lived, where he worked... She saw you both walk into the house together the night you were drunk. She followed the two of you. That's why, you haven't heard from her in so long. She was watching you both and told me everything." Yun-se teared up and cupped her face.

"I-I'm sorry, Yun-se..." Jimin apologized as he looked at his best friend sob into her hands.

"Let me finish... Then you can have a say..." Yun-se claimed and Jimin understood the girl as he remained silent and listened. He felt like he deserved everything coming his way. "I... I knew everything now... The way he looked at you from the restaurant and once you left to the table, he followed but didn't try to make it obvious. Everything pointed towards the love you gave him while I had nothing to prove ours... 'He's cheating on you! Ask for a child to see if he still loves you to give you one!' 'Try to take him on dates! Keep him in your life!' 'Don't let him leave you! It's not fair!' Is what all my friends and parents would tell me... I tried to do them all but you kept slipping away..."

Jimin grew silent as everything started to make sense on why Yun-se pushed him for a child, wanted kisses and dates. She was insecure and felt like she already lost her husband. "If you still love me... Why didn't you keep on the ring everyday?" Jimin asked and Yun-se finally looked up at Jimin.

"I-I can't love you... If you want someone else... I-I can't love you... If... If..." Yun-se added as she dropped her hands to wrap around her stomach gently. Not adding pressure to it. "I'm holding a child from another man I fell in love with..."
