Chapter 71: The ring on his finger

The two walked around the mall all day, trying out different food from food courts or even sitting around the fountain to think on where to go or even browsing around a nice store. Jungkook kept looking down at his charm happily as he made sure his hand was placed over his pocket so the outline of the box wouldn't show. That was something he couldn't have. He longed to give Jimin this ring soon so he'd know the older was going to promise himself to the boy forever.

Forever was what Jungkook wished for... He wished for their love to grow healthy and no boulders would fall into their relationship to hold them back from loving each other. Even if their love was bound, Jungkook still tried his best to keep their love close and the moments like these, worth living for.

As the two sat by the fountain, they held hands and looked around happily. Jimin still had his bags from the antique store. What he purchased from there was the two silver necklaces, vanilla and apricot scented candles, a pair of steel earnings for himself to finally use and slightly pricey cologne that had such a strong yet, pleasing aroma to it. Jimin took out his earrings from the bag and placed them on while Jungkook watched him place it on.

"Finally got yourself some earrings? Oh they look nice on you! For the longest I thought your piercing was closed already." Jungkook thought while Jimin smiled and looked at his ears through the reflection of his phone.

"Thank you. Kookie, it's getting late and food from carts won't fill me up. Let's get to the restaurant now. I want meat." Jimin added before standing up and twisting his body to the side so he could stretch from sitting for a while.

"Baby, you'll get meat later on tonight~ for free..." Jungkook stated while he stood up and instantly, Jimin began to giggle onto the boy's chest.

"Why are you like this?" Jimin giggled and looked up at the younger. "Let's not waste any time. I'm hungry."

"Alright then, I'll wait for you at the restroom~" Jested the younger while Jimin kept giggling. "Oh, baby let's go buy matching sweaters!" Jungkook changed the conversation and pointed at a boutique up ahead. "It'll be quick!"

Jimin then shook his head and began to complain in a soft tone in his voice so Jungkook could pity him. "Ah, no! then we'll have to fit into the outfits and I won't last that long! Let's eat and maybe after we'll buy clothes before we go."

"Fine then. Let's go eat." Assured the boy before walking off and stopping along the way to hold out his hand so Jimin can follow and take his hand. The couple left the mall and at that moment, Jungkook just knew Jimin would be too lazy to return to the mall as soon as he was full from eating at the restaurant. Only having enough energy to walk home. "Baby, I don't think you'll want to go out and get some outfits together after."

"What are you talking about? I'll be more than happy to buy clothes with you. I'm just hungry. No worries, I'm buying the meals for us." Stated Jimin. Jimin then wrapped his arms around Jungkook's arm before leaning his head on the boy's shoulder as they walked out the mall.

Very soon, they reached the Korean grill and barbeque nearby and the older only longed to sit down and eat anything at the moment. Jungkook looked at the name of the restaurant and stepped in while they were greeted with a cozy look of the whole restaurant. A fireplace up ahead, calm colors in baby blue and spruce wooden floors. There were many tables and people filled half of the white table tops with smiles as they ate their food with their plus one or groups of friends.

The two were then seated at their tables in front of a platform for the stage with one microphone standing. This was for the live performance and Jimin was excited for a dinner and a show. The time on his phone showed 6:25PM as soon as they arrived and were seated. Even when the menus were placed before them, Jimin's eyes were glued onto the stage. This was brought to Jungkook's attention now.

"Baby, look at what you are going to order and stop staring at the stage." Jungkook told the man and scanned his eyes down the menu while he fixed his glasses above his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I'm just really excited to see a performance! I like music." Jimin giggled and looked down at the menu in front of him. Just by gazing at the menu, Jimin glided his gaze over fried kimchi rice, wraps with beef, soup, ramen, seafood, and stew in different varieties and spices. "What are you going to order?"

"Hmm... I think I'll get thick slices of Pork belly, Soju, Kimchi, rice and soybean paste with it. That's it I guess." Jungkook stated and laid back while he set the menu down. "But I'll save you as my dessert for later~"

"Ah, Kookie you always want to say these types of things! That was smooth, but calm down!" Jimin giggled as Jungkook kept trying to hold in his laughter.

"Do you know what else is smooth?~" The boy kept joking until Jimin kicked the younger's leg under the table followed by giggles.

"I'll order stir-fried sweet potato noodles, vegetables and shredded beef drenched in soy sauce." Jimin told the younger while Jungkook was looking down and trying to contain himself from laughing. "Kookie!"

"I'm sorry!" Jungkook laughed. He finally looked up and held his hand out to lock with Jimin's. "Ah, okay I'm done!"

"Good." Responded the man until, a performer reached the stage and to his surprise, it was Taehyung again. Jimin turned his head to see the young boy reach the stage with his white suit and tie while he cleared his throat to sing and catch everyone's attention. "It's him again..."

"I swear I see him everywhere. But I guess he has a purpose to be here, his husband's father works as the Chief. So we really can't complain."

"Such a coincidence to see him here as always. Where's his husband?" Wondered the man once more before turning to face Jungkook.

"I don't know and I don't care. This is about us." Replied the boy and kept his hands intertwined with Jimin. "Let me get this off my chest... Last time you went on a date with Yun-se.. I'm not going to lie, but I did bother on purpose."

"I can tell. You were asking many questions to the point where I couldn't just sit there." Jimin smiled and kept his gaze on Jungkook. "Why do you want to marry me so soon? I know you were looking in that store for a reason~"

"Well, I do want to marry you because I love you so much!" Jungkook said with a shy smile appearing on his face. "I'm not going to lie on that one. That's why I want to marry you so soon. Shouldn't you get a happy wedding?"

"You talk like you're about to die if you don't marry me within a year." Smiled the man as he looked over to the stage where the boy started to sing. "We'll marry and have kids soon. Be patient."

Jungkook then pulled an excited smile as he began to chuckle. "Kids? So more than one?"

"Depends how much paperwork we could do for two or more. It makes me smile just thinking about it. I've been able to think this through after you told me about it and I really am excited for it. Having sleepless nights and small playtimes with our children. That is the most happiest thing that could come into my mind through it all."

"I'm so glad you agree with having a child that way. Very soon, we'll be parents and what we need is a positive mindset on it. Just in a few years... Okay? We just need to be patient." Added the younger while a waiter approached the two and started to take down orders from the couple that were still holding hands through it all.

While Jungkook and Jimin started to laugh to themselves and smile while the young boy at the stage was singing and serenading everyone in the restaurant, Jimin suddenly received a phone call from Yun-se and this killed his whole mood for the night. Jimin glared at the caller ID and sighed after, loosening his grip around Jungkook's hand. "Jungkook..."

"Go... Answer." Jungkook said while Jimin nodded his head and stood up before walking off to the nearby restroom to answer the call in private and away from everyone outside who might hear him talk to Yun-se like he was cheating on Jungkook right in front of him. That'll lead to many judging eyes lock on him in disgust. So, Jimin left the table and Jungkook. Having the boy sit alone at the table while Taehyung began to close off his second song now.

Jimin held up the phone to his ear and answered while he walked into the restroom with stalls to approach the mirror. "Hello? Oh! Hi Yun-se... I'm kind of busy right now." Jimin said into the call. "I'm about to head back from work. Tough day today... How's work? Are you going to it? Yes? Oh that's good."

Unexpectedly, Taehyung stepped into the restroom, causing Jimin to lower the volume of his voice as he responded to Yun-se. He knew the boy was singing in front of the table Jimin sat in with Jungkook, so there was a possibility that he would glance over to the couple. Jimin held the phone up to his ear and looked down while Taehyung stepped in front of the mirror to take off his wedding ring and wash his hands.

"I'm just... Well I'll be heading home after I eat with a friend." Jimin lied and at that moment, Taehyung smirked and washed his hands. "Of course I love you. You're my wife." Jimin said almost close to a whisper while he turned away from the younger who stopped washing his hands to listen. "Yes.. I have to go now.  Love you, goodbye." Jimin closed off the call. But, this didn't stop Taehyung from staring once Jimin hung up.

"Hey..." Called out the younger as he dried his hands with paper towels. "Cheating on your wife isn't right... Would you like it if she does that to you?"

"What? No... You don't understand." Jimin replied and set his phone in his pocket.

"I can see you don't have a ring on and I've recognized you back in Korea in the night of the Gala. The both of you. You had a ring before and now you don't. Your wife isn't with you... Is she?"

"No... I-It's hard to explain. You won't understand." Jimin hissed and turned around to leave when suddenly, he could see the boy from the reflection put on his own wedding ring and step up.

"I have an arranged marriage... It's complicated too and I understand it... So what you have I'll understand it too!" Taehyung blurted out. It felt like this young man held things within him. He seemed as if he longed to talk to someone who might have a complicated love life like his. What Jimin found as a relief and a surprising fact was, Taehyung was also in an arranged marriage. There was someone who was able to fit in his shoes to share thoughts on the whole situation with no shame at all.
