Chapter 6: Questioned

The next morning, Jimin was ready for work as he was in the kitchen with his normal attire for work as Yun-se was in the room changing into her business attire. The job she kept a secret was that she was a lawyer. But she knew her Mother would completely make her quit if the Mother was to find out. The Mother went by the thought of preparing Yun-se for Motherhood. But to the married couple, they were too young for any of that.

Jimin looked at the jacket from the kitchen as he drank out of his cup of hot coffee. Locking his gaze at it. He would think of many things of it, what if Jimin just surrendered and ignored all of the torture? What if he spoke to Jungkook about it? What if they became good friends after? Would Jimin still be married to his best friend today? Of course, Jimin despised questioning his love for Yun-se. It was the only thing he had to think of and nothing else. He knew he had to ignore all of it. He woke up thinking of the boy and still was. This made Jimin feel like he spent too much of his time with Jungkook and never with his wife.

"I shouldn't be thinking like this... I'm married... I shouldn't be thinking of my life outside this marriage. This marriage is all I should be thinking about and nothing more." Jimin said to himself and looked away from the jacket. "Jungkook is gay... I'm straight. I don't even want it like that."

Jimin kept thinking this through and sealing the thought in his head, locking in the thought of Yun-se being the only person he'll ever love. But why did it seem off when he thought about it? Jimin hated to think otherwise. Yun-se then walked in wearing a black pencil skirt, White dress shirt and black leggings with black heels. She stepped into the kitchen to have a cup of coffee as she looked up at Jimin just staring at the jacket again in silence.

Yun-se chuckled as she poked Jimin's cheek with a smile. "You need to stop thinking of the past. It's annoying. If you want to be his friend, go ahead. Here's a tip, forget about the troubled past. You could use some more friends other than Seokjin." Yun-se laughed as Jimin looked back at his wife.

             "What's wrong with Seokjin?"

"Nothing! I'm just saying you could use more friends." Yun-se added as she grabbed Jimin's cup of coffee and smiled. "You could use a friend. Tie up loose ends with him. Maybe then you could get to the bottom of why he used to do that. Maybe he had a troubled childhood?"

"Yuni, that can't always be the problem..."

          "Why not?"

"Because in high school, he would brag about how his parents once placed him in a Taekwondo class and he was the best one out there." Jimin sighed as he kept looking at his wife. "Do you think we spend quality time together?"

"Yes. I mean not all the time but we do have our moments." Yun-se claimed as Jimin looked up at the time.

"I have to go." Jimin said, grabbing the jacket like it was his main priority.

"You forgot something." The woman giggled as she gave Jimin a peck on the lips and looked down at his hands. "Your ring? Did you forget about that too?" Yun-se wondered as Jimin nodded and quickly walked into the room to retrieve his ring.

Jimin ran out of the house after and quickly got in his car with the jacket in his arms. He wasn't running late, rather he longed to return the jacket. Not wanting to remind himself of the past followed by many other unwanted thoughts that would float around in his head. Jimin didn't want a thing to ruin his relationship now.

Very soon, he pulled up by the building and parked his car as he stepped out with his suitcase and the jacket being held up in a clothes hanger. Jimin wanted it to look nice to show he wasn't going to keep his hate growing for the younger now. No matter how much he wanted to question Jungkook on it. Jimin walked into the building and passed through security, wearing his ID badge that hanged on a water designed lanyard, he pressed up his glasses as he kept walking until... He heard Jungkook call out to him from behind.

"Hi, Jimin. I left my jacket in your car yesterday." Jungkook added as Jimin turned around and walked up to Jungkook, holding the jacket in the clothes hanger. Jungkook looked at how neatly pressed and hanged Jimin had the jacket as Jungkook just let out a laugh.

         "What's so funny?"

"Did you really have to wash it and make it look perfect before turning it in to me? What did you do? Jack off to it?" Jungkook laughed. He accepted the jacket as Jimin looked as if he was laughing at Jungkook's joke.

"You're very immature, Mr. Jeon." Jimin said, trying not to laugh again.

"Finally a smile along with a new name? Mr. Jeon? Hmm I like that, Mr. Park." Jungkook added with a smile and looked at his jacket. "Are you going to let me help out today or am I just going to sit on a chair for the next 18 hours?" Jungkook asked as Jimin shook his head.

"Don't worry, Jungkook. I'll give you something to work on." Jimin assured as Jungkook made a cute smile that made Jimin keep his eyes locked on Jungkook. Jimin always wondered how this would feel, just staring at his bully in the eyes made a shiver go down Jimin's spine. Expecting the younger to push him back and make fun of him for it. Yet, nothing happened. Nothing but a glint on each other's round glasses that flashed from the bright light in the hall way leading to the double doors to the downstairs lab.

Jungkook then raised up his hand to softly pat Jimin's shoulder happily but Jimin suddenly flinched and quickly stepped back. The man's glasses suddenly slipped off and almost hit the ground as Jungkook quickly reached for it and caught it in his hands, looking up at Jimin and placing in on Jimin's face gently. This made Jimin look up to see nothing but a blur, but as soon as the glass went over his eyes, he gazed at Jungkook's face clearly and only grew speechless.

Jimin suddenly backed up and gripped onto the briefcase, adjusting his glasses as Jungkook stepped up closer but Jimin kept backing up. "I-I'll wait for you down at the lab." Jimin said before turning away and walking down the hall as Jungkook stared at Jimin leave the boy.

"Of course... Mr. Park is straight.... He's married.." Jungkook whispered and licked his lips while he pushed up his glasses, throwing his jacket over his shoulder while he held it tightly with his hand as his other hand was stuffed into black slack pocket. Jungkook then walked forward, following after Jimin to the lab.

Jimin reached the bottom of the lab and approached Seokjin, by now, Jimin was freaking out about what just happened. He couldn't even focus with Jungkook's eyes fixed with his... This was enough to make Jimin think on what just happened over and over again in his head.

Seokjin of course was feeding the Axolotls as he kept smiling at them. While Yoongi was sitting right by the tank and looking over the folder of work Seokjin told him to look over. Jimin walked to his desk silently, practically hugging his briefcase as Yoongi sat up and rolled his office chair to Jimin and looked at him.

"Hello, Jimin. You come in here so silent. Is he always like this, Seokjin?" Yoongi asked the older as the man stopped looking at the axolotls and looked at Jimin.

"No, he mostly walks in here and tells me to leave his Axolotls alone. But I never do." Seokjin laughed as he passed Jimin his lab coat. "Did something happen, Jimin?"

"He probably inhaled some chemicals on his way here." Yoongi commented. Rolling around on the chair while he kept reading off the folder to learn off what Seokjin was working on.

"N-No... It's just.. Jungkook." Jimin added as he looked at Seokjin. "I.. Think I feel uncomfortable now..." Jimin assured as the two older men looked at Jimin with concern.

"Did something happen last night?" Seokjin wondered as Jimin quickly shook his head in response.
"N-No... None of that! I.. Just feel uncomfortable." Jimin claimed as Yoongi took a good look at Jimin and then at Seokjin.

"If you don't want him as an intern. I am willing to sacrifice my freedom and early dismissals." Yoongi said. Giving a dramatic sigh as he looked at the ground. Wanting Jimin to respond with a no and say he didn't have to.

"Shut up." Seokjin laughed and looked at Jimin. "Listen, if you don't want an intern. Yoongi could talk to his father and get something sorted out. Sure you won't be able to teach him things... But it's for the best. If you feel something isn't right, then don't go on with it. Can't force yourself." Seokjin claimed as Yoongi looked at the older.

"How are you so wise but your sense of humor is so... Dry?" Yoongi questioned, making the older place his hands on his hips and blink his eyes in disbelief.

"I am older than you! Where is my respect?!" Seokjin asked as Yoongi let out a slight laugh and leaned his head against the palm of his hand while looking at Seokjin continue to complain on respect. Which made Yoongi laugh and cry at the same time. Wanting this to end.

Jimin watched the two and smiled slightly until Jungkook wallked up to the two. Jungkook sat down on a chair in front of Jimin's desk and smiled. Automatically, Jimin felt nervous and wanted to hide behind a folder like the first time he met eyes with Jungkook after so long.

"So what am I going to work with today, Park?" Jungkook asked with a sweet and interested smile. Showing his gleam of excitement in his eyes to finally show Jimin what he was capable of.

Jimin quickly looked down as Seokjin was still arguing with Yoongi. Jungkook then tilted his head and leaned in a bit to talk to Jimin. "I'm sorry I bothered you and looked at you like that... Let's not have this get in between work. We could even get work done soon so you could have time to get home to your wife." Jungkook mentioned. Making Jimin look up and see that the boy held out his hand to shake with Jimin's. Showing that they would not try to steer out of the path of working together.

Jimin still felt the slightest uncomfortable feeling from this all, the stare and glint bouncing off their glasses, their eyes meeting each others and Jungkook's soft and gentle personality now towards the older. Jimin nodded and shook hands with Jungkook's only to quickly pull away after to avoid the awkward connection Jungkook was aware of too.
