Chapter 57: Landing

After sixteen hours on the plane and airplane meals of instant noodles with bulgogi heated up like leftovers and hot tea that was delivered to their small doors, they finally arrived to Mexico where the sun rose since it was a different time zone. Jimin stepped out of the plane, dragging his luggages and finally taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

The atmosphere around the huge landing pad for the airport was bright, slightly hot but the gust of wind was still blowing in and keeping the passengers that exited the plane feel relieved to finally land. They were guided back to the airport where many people spreaded out to catch their next flights as Jimin and his team of three walked out to catch a taxi to the cruise that will be boarding soon to Cozumel. The team alone were tired and being on the plane for so long left them Jet lagged.

"Seokjin.." Jimin called out and blinked his eyes under his glasses while they called to the front of the airport in Mexico.

"What?" Jin asked feeling tired while he rubbed his eyes and placed on some shades.

"When we leave, we can NOT take the one way trip back to Korea!" Jimin said and this made Seokjin give Jimin a stare while they waited patiently for a taxi cab. Even if it was tough to communicate, they made sure they were willing to talk to the man driving them about the boat that would take them to the island.

In the car, Jimin was holding Muffin's cage since Yoongi insisted that Muffin must be free to stretch her legs every once and a while. Jungkook sat apart from Jimin, sitting on by the right door while Seokjin sat on the middle, to talk to the man who was driving, as for Yoongi, he sat on the backseat with the cat while he gave the cat some treats to keep her strength up.

It was obvious that through that time, Jungkook constantly kept gazing at Jimin and back at the ground. It was their time to finally act as a couple on this new ground, but the only thing that held him back from doing so was Seokjin himself. Sitting between them like a strict guard. After a while of their trip there, Seokjin payed for the ride by swiping his card and paying the amount since the man was open to cards and cash as well.

The car ride was silent and as they boarded the ship and got in by reservation Jin's father made, Yoongi finally said something. "I feel like shit." Yoongi added and this made Jimin giggle.

"Stand in line, Yoongi. We all feel that way." Seokjin said as they walked onto the boat and went to sit by the benches on the deck to finally take a moment to collect themselves.

"How long until we reach Cozumel?" Jungkook asked as Seokjin pointed to an island as far as the eye could see.

"In 12:30-ish?" Seokjin thought and this made Yoongi press his head back against the wall. "It's 8:10AM so we have a few hours on this cruise ship.

"Why couldn't we take a speedboat?!" Yoongi complained and allowed Muffin to walk around but, stay far from the rails of the boat.

"You're insane.." Jungkook said and face palmed after since he too was tired from the big trip.

"Yoongi, we can't go on speedboat... It can't travel that far!" Jimin stated and looked around at the big cruise ship that others boarded. "This is the only transportation we have to Cozumel. We should be grateful."

"Four hours..." Jungkook said to himself and took off his glasses to rub his eyes. "I had a good rest, but then again... Getting off that plane just murdered me. Ugh, and that food was somewhat horrible."

"Food is food! At least we didn't get bags of stale seaweed and peanuts with juice boxes like those flying in the other room. We had first class so we got what we could." Seokjin argued with Jungkook as Jimin let out a giggle. "Let's just stay here and enjoy the time we have on the cruise ship." The older added while Muffin came back to Yoongi and purred.

"Yoongi, you stole my cat..." Jimin said with a pout as he had his arms out to the cat, but Muffin stood still and stuck with the older.

"You stole her from your brother so it's only natural that I give you a taste of your own medicine." Yoongi replied and hugged Muffin and listened to the small Calico cat pur. "It's important that you keep her energy going in a plane and get her to walk around so she wouldn't stay in one place forever. You couldn't since you were sleeping so I sacrificed sleep to make sure she was healthy." Yoongi said as he looked around. "Is there a pet shop on this cruise?"

"You're crazy. Sit down for once and don't move." Jungkook laughed and looked at the cat. "Will she get seasick? Is that possible?" The boy asked, noticing that the boat was beginning to move.

"I hope not! I may be tired, but I don't mind staying up more hours to sit and watch over her." Yoongi stated as Jimin let out a scoff.

"Just give him the cat already, Jimin!" Seokjin said as Yoongi kept holding the cat in his arms.

"No! Muffin is mine!" Jimin argued and this made the younger laugh and pat his shoulder.

"It's not like you have a choice anyways." Jungkook claimed while Yoongi still held the cat close, unzipping his jacket and placing the calico cat within his  jacket to zip it up and have Muffin poking her small head out. This made Jimin smile at the two, placing his luggages by Seokjin and Yoongi so he could stretch.

"Whatever, you can have her for this trip but when we get back, Muffin is mine." Jimin replied and looked around to yawn. "I'll go see if there is any small convenience stores so I can use an ATM and get something to drink." Jimin said as he walked out of the deck, leaving Seokjin and Yoongi alone while Jungkook tagged along. As always.

It wasn't until Jimin heard footsteps behind him and as soon as he looked back, Jungkook was there pulling a smile while he picked up his pace and walked by Jimin's side. "I'm surprised you have it in you to walk around and get something when we've been in a plane for sixteen hours!" Jungkook stated while he walked with his lover.

"Well, I need to do at least something. Did Seokjin make sure he shipped our materials here for the project and handled our visits here?" Jimin asked as the younger nodded in response.

"He was extremely prepared. We have an extended stay for business purposes and yes he had it shipped a week ago." Jungkook notified Jimin and placed his arm around the older. "Did you lose your ring?"

"Very funny... I have it in my pocket since the flight."

"I'm surprised Seokjin didn't catch that you haven't been wearing it." Jungkook claimed. Not a moment too soon, Jimin stopped and tried to take out the ring and slip it on, but Jungkook swiftly grabbed Jimin by his wrist and gave him a stare. "Stop..." Jungkook told the older and brought him closer to cup his face. A few people stared at the couple and gave them smiles. Before moving forward to respect their privacy. Giving Jimin the reaction he always wanted to feel with his lover. Back in Korea, doing this in the lab would gain stares from colleagues who knew Jimin wore a ring on his finger... But here? No one knew about the ring since he didn't keep it on and only relied on the beautiful and supportive scene they dropped their focus onto.

             "K-Kookie..."

"No one is judging us... No one knows about Yun-se or the wedding ring I know you hate using. So... I want you to do a simple thing for me... Okay? I want you to tell him. That's the only way we could walk around and hold hands like the true couple we are. Jin is just like us... He has someone of the same gender but the only thing that makes us different is the fact that you are married but here with me... While Seokjin keeps it simple with the one he loves. I want you to tell him..." Jungkook asked and made sure he wasn't making Jimin feel like he was pressured to do so.

"What if... He see's me as a dirty cheater? That's what I am, aren't I?" Jimin asked while Jungkook looked down to see Jimin turn around and resume walking to the small shop on the boat so he could use an ATM.

"You need to stop seeing yourself like that.... You know what you felt when you finally realized that this arranged marriage held you back from experiencing love... Love with me.." Jungkook continued to attempt and persuade the older, but Jimin looked back at Jungkook and kept walking until they reached a small corner shop in the cruise where snacks and candy bars were for sale. Jimin noticed that the store allowed credit cards so he didn't really need an ATM.

"Others won't see me as someone following my heart... More like others would see me as a cheater and nothing more. No one will understand what I feel deep down towards this." Jimin said softly as he looked at the items to translate the currency in his head since he was already familiar to it since his last trip to Mexico a while back.

"Oh Jimin, Seokjin is your best friend and this trip... It gives us a chance to go out and stay by eachother. Holding hands or even kissing. Why are we still talking about this now that we already had high hopes of freedom? Why stop and grow afraid? Don't you love me?" Jungkook asked and gave Jimin a back hug. Even if he thought of refraining from pressuring Jimin, that was the way things came out.

"I love you, Kookie." Jimin replied and looked back to see Jungkook hugging him close from the back and resting his head on his shoulder. Jimin let out an exhale and nodded his head. "I think I should suck it up and tell him. I need to get ready to be able to talk about it to others... right?"

"Yes." Jungkook said and made a cute smile, giving Jimin a kiss on the cheek while Jimin picked out a few chocolate bars, potato chips and spicy plantain chips he found that would look good to try as well. Jimin picked out four cans of soda and a can of cat food as he made his way up to the cash register to pay. Jungkook then assisted Jimin as they walked out of the small shop and walked over to the deck slowly while they ran their thoughts through each other on how Jimin should approach Seokjin on this.

Jin was Jimin's close friend and the thought of having Jin see him as a freak or a dirty cheater, made Jimin feel like he was risking his close friendship. They were close friends so Jimin felt like this was the right way to go and talk to Seokjin about it. His friendship mattered to him as well.

Maybe he was looking too far into this or not, but Jimin made sure he was going to do this for his relationship with Jungkook. Boosting up his confidence so he could confront Yun-se or her parents on this before moving any further into divorce. Jimin could see Seokjin telling one of his Dad jokes to Yoongi while they sat together and Jimin only stood still and cleared his throat before turning to face his lover.

"Okay... You leave me to talk to him. Stay there with Yoongi and I'll do all the lifting." Jimin advised Jungkook, hearing the younger laugh and hold the bags of snacks he picked from Jimin's hands so he could carry them himself.

"You're overreacting again, Baby. Just tell him. He'll understand if you give him the whole reason why I and these feelings mean so much to you." Jungkook assured with a cute smile before kissing Jimin's forehead and walking to the deck before Jimin. Giving him a second to think of what he had to say before joining the group and pulling Jin aside to tell him.
