Chapter 51: A forbidden sin
"Jimin was just talking to me about marriage, isn't that right, my son?" Mrs. Park asked as Jimin made a smile and nodded his head, setting the cat onto Jungkook's lap so gently.
"Yes... I have a few concerns... I just felt like I needed to talk to you both about this." Jimin stated as the two parents were sitting next to each other now. Listening to Jimin and holding a concerned look on their faces.
"Oh, please tell us, Jimin. We'll listen." The Father stated as Jimin exhaled again and looked at his parents.
"Why did you both put me in this arranged marriage?" Jimin asked as he longed to hear their own answers on this.
"Because we love you! We love you soo much to the point where we worried about your love life and longed for you to find someone! And... We can't lie to you and say that was all... We needed you to get into this deal because we needed the money to fix our debts. You know that. We told you."
"You... Never heard me say yes. I had to marry my own friend I've never thought of putting a ring on." Jimin answered and this made the father blink his eyes and grow even more concerned. "Out of all the money you both made from me, do you guys ever wish there was an easier way to this?"
"Ah, Jimin it's okay to doubt your love for Yun-se once and a while! You've must have gotten worried about her.. Right? That must be it!" Mr. Park said as Jimin looked down and jolted his shoulders into a shrug. "There's no way you could doubt your love for Yun-se. It just isn't done!"
"Just isn't done?! Is he hearing himself right now? Ah, I wish Jimin could let me speak... This is making me grow crazy!" Jungkook thought as he set the cup of tea down since the cat kept licking the base of the tea cup and desired tea for herself too.
"I think what your father is trying to say is... That, Yun-se adores you! She loves you! You can't just think one day you could leave her and cause her harm. You can't do that to her because you love her." Mrs. Park chimed in and this alone made Jungkook look at Jimin in worry.
"You aren't just saying that because you've made money out of me... Right? Without me ever meeting Yun-se.... This wouldn't have happened for you all!" Jimin stated as Mr. Park suddenly stood up and walked to the kitchen as Mrs. Park sprung up and smiled at her husband.
"Would you like some tea, Dear?~" Mrs. Park asked so suddenly as she walked over to her husband in the kitchen. Leaving Jimin in silence in the living room as Jungkook was only starting to grow upset.
"They don't want to talk..." Jimin whispered as Jungkook slowly held Jimin's hand without letting the parents see at all. "We should go... I'm wasting my breath.."
"It's not called wasting your breath if it's for a reason. Go... Talk to them and if anything happens, come back to me..." Jungkook assured and this made Jimin feel a boost of confidence. He believed that he was able to do this but only felt down when his parents pushed him away for no reason... Only when they didn't long to lose all of their fortune.
Jimin stood up as he marched to the kitchen where his parents where whispering to themselves about Jimin and this only made Jimin even more nervous at the face of his own parents. "Mother, Father... Please listen to me! I...I don't feel so happy in that relationship... I want to tell you that I don't feel anything for her!"
"What do you mean you don't? Are you sick? Are you losing your mind?" Mrs. Park asked as she cupped her son's face and looked at the man. "Don't worry, there is a good figurine that rids negative energy within the household and the life! You just need it in your house. I will get it so you could bring home and-"
"PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!" Jimin raised his voice as the defensive side within Jungkook just clicked and he bolted his gaze at the kitchen and stated at the family in the kitchen. Most importantly, gazing at Jimin from afar to make sure they wouldn't grow too crazy to the point where one of them decides to hurt the love of Jungkook's life.
"Park Jimin!" The father rose his voice and suddenly lowered it and leaned in to whisper to Jimin. "It is a sin to love another while wearing that ring. Your heart belongs to Yun-se... No one else in this world! You know how sad Yun-se would get... She loves you soo much!"
"My son, you should listen. When you take off that ring, who will love you as much as Yun-se does? You may find someone better.. But none of them would give you everything like what Yun-se did for you. She got you that job, she let's you leave the house and always come back, and she trusts you! Where is that trust in return? Tell me, Park Jimin." Mrs. Park asked as Jimin cupped his own face and shook his head.
"Someone will love me! This time.. I will use my feelings... Something I've never used before. Ah, Mother... Do you know how it feels to learn to love someone you've never loved before or ever will? It hurts..." Jimin added as he slowly started to cry. "I-I feel sick..." Jimin whispered and looked down. "I feel sick that I don't love her... If you loved me more than the money... Please cut off the deal! I can't take it. It hurts to be with her because it's uncomfortable! She's my best friend! Not a woman I see having children with and growing old with... She brings up about children and I can't bring myself to lie again and say yes like the way I did back then in the wedding!"
Mr. And Mrs. Park listened to their son silently cry and try his best to keep himself together... Yet he only kept crying from the spiraling curse he called his marriage. No one should feel this way and when people do, a divorce was a must! But this only left the parents silent and turn their backs on their only son. Ignoring him and resuming on talking about random things that was completely irrelevant to the conversation.
"M-Mother please!" Jimin begged in tears as he wrapped his arms around his mother and hugged her from the back but she only gave him silence along with Mr. Park. "I-I want out of it..." Jimin continued to sob until his parents ignored him and walked out of the kitchen together so they could go to the backyard. "H-Help me..." Jimin cried softly to himself.
"If any of you both would like to join us outside and talk about how marriages should really work, be our guest!" Mr. Park added and that was the worst mistake he ever did... Jungkook had enough, he couldn't allow these rich snobs treat their own son like a pile of garbage! Jungkook rolled up his right sleeve and started walking to the backyard, but only then... He heard Jimin let out soft sobs from the kitchen and he knew this wouldn't make things better.
The boy looked back and chose to calm himself as he walked back to Jimin and looked back to see that the parents walked away now, just so Jungkook could get down on his knees and embrace his lover softly. "Shh... Forget them.."
"Jungkook... They wouldn't listen.. W-Why did I get my hopes up? I can't have them side with me to break off the deal! I can't do it... They own the deal with the Lee family." Jimin cried into Jungkook's shoulder as he gazed up at him. "A-And... Yun-se loves me too much to let me go..." Jimin gave off a sad pout through his tears and this only left the younger's heart to grow heavy at the look of his boyfriend on the ground in tears.
"Fuck them, let's get out of here. I'm taking you home." Jungkook added as he stood up and helped Jimin up too.
"I-I don't want to go home to Yun-se..." Jimin cried and shook his head while he suddenly realized Jungkook took out the bag of cat food and cans, throwing them into a bag and swiftly running to the cat bed to grab it as well.
"No silly, we are going to my house... But now it's ours." Jungkook added as he handed the cat bed to Jimin and picked up the cat and held Muffin close. "No way in hell you are staying here with those demons." Jungkook said in a coo as he looked at the well-behaved cat. "I hope your brother doesn't mind." Jungkook laughed as he started walking out of the house with the things as Jimin quickly followed behind.
"H-He's never home." Jimin added as he smiled through his tears while they hurried out of the house and to the gates where they left and was quick to get into the car. Jungkook took the cat in his arms as they set the items to the backseat of the car while Jungkook carried Muffin in his arms and swiftly jumped into the drivers seat while Jimin sat in the passengers seat to hold Muffin.
Jimin started to cheer up after seeing Jungkook steal the cat away from his parents. Deep down, he knew his parents wouldn't even dare to report the cat missing since it was obvious now that the two took Muffin and the parents couldn't ever report their son, not for the love, but for the money instead.
The car started to pull out of the front of the house and Jungkook drove off while Jimin hugged the purring cat close and this feeling dried his own tears. Jimin then took out his phone and took a picture of Muffin and sent it to his brother to inform him that the cat now belonged to him. Yet, the brother didn't seem to care and just responded with a simple 'ok' words that made Jimin giggle.
"Jungkook, why did you have to steal Muffin?" Jimin asked while he set his phone away and his eyes were still puffy once they gazed up at Jungkook's eyes through his foggy glasses that dried up while they ran away with the cat.
"Me? You mean, 'We' I did it because you liked Muffin and she doesn't seem to hate you." Jungkook added as the cat was only purring in Jimin's arms. "Besides, Muffin needs someone better than your parents to watch over her." Jungkook chuckled while Jimin started to giggle.
"Did you forget we are going to Mexico tomorrow for almost six months?" Jimin asked as Jungkook glanced at Jimin and then focused on the road.
"We can either drop Muffin off with Seokjin's boyfriend or take her with us!" Jungkook mentioned and held his hand out for Jimin to hold tightly. "But that's not important right now... You shouldn't be treated this way by them..."
"They're just blinded by money and being rich.." Jimin sighed as Muffin closed her eyes to fall asleep on Jimin's lap. "They've always been like this as soon as the money kept rolling in from the deal.." Jimin whispered as he let a tear run down from his eyes.
"Jimin... Ugh, they really made me so upset to the point where I just wanted to-"
"Jungkook.... stop... please... I don't want to think about it.. It's too much for me. Let's save it for later.." Jimin whispered as he layed his head against the glass of the window. "My day has just gone to complete shit..."
"No it hasn't. I'm here with you." Jungkook added as Jimin nodded his head.
"You're the only one that makes my day better.." Jimin replied and sighed while he caressed the small cat's fur gently. "I want to go home... And not just my house, our house." Jimin added, making Jungkook chuckle as he looked at Jimin with a smile. Hoping to replace that frown with one of Jimin's beautiful and sweet smiles to light up each other's day.
