Chapter 19: A special spot
Jungkook constantly glided his gaze down to Jimin, who was allready sleeping on the seats behind him. As soon as Jungkook reached a red light, he stopped and fixed the jacket over Jimin with a smile and focused back on the road while his eyes met at the mirror, staring at Jimin slightly smile in his sleep.
"That adorable smile is so precious..." Jungkook whispered as he payed attention to the road and drove off as soon as the light switched green. Jungkook thought of Jimin's soft lips that he kissed last night and thought that maybe soon, they'll do that without even worrying. That was something Jungkook hoped for. But a homewrecker like him couldn't expect much out of Jimin since he was a very loyal man to his wedding ring and to the one who owns the other matching ring. Yet, this was what Jungkook believed.
Jimin knew Jungkook wanted this relationship to go a different way, but Jimin just couldn't agree. His sweet heart was still bound to another and even if it seemed like divorce was an option for everyone, it wasn't for him and Yun-se. The two displayed love but Jungkook just scoffed and did his usual tongue roll from the thought of it. That alone just ticked him off.
Jungkook was a very jealous boy. Even in highschool he longed to get Jimin alone so he could have him, but people surrounded him and that led to Jungkook picking on Jimin so he could have no friends... But as soon as Jimin graduated, he was instantly married and Jungkook heard this. That's how he understood a lot about Jimin's life.
Very soon, Jungkook parked at the building and looked back to see Jimin still asleep. He didn't want to wake the older man and just sat there with a cute smile. Jungkook got out of his seat, grabbing the glasses and the ring as he walked over to the backseat and opened the door to get Jimin out. "Wake up, Sleeping Beauty." Jungkook said as he set the jacket aside and looked at Jimin with a smile, shaking him gently to wake him up. "Jimin... Jimin.." Jungkook said with a smile. Jimin opened his puffy eyes and looked at Jungkook, blinking his eyes repeatedly as Jungkook placed on Jimin's glasses and his ring.
"Where... am I?" Jimin whispered as Jungkook cupped Jimin's puffy face and looked at the boy's messy hair.
"At work. Maybe by the lounge I'll get you coffee and a pastery or chips from the vending machine. Does that sound good?" Jungkook asked as Jimin nodded in return. The younger smiled and caressed Jimin's hair back to fix the man's messy hair Jimin smiled and finally blinked his eyes to stand again.
"I am still a little tired... So don't expect me to be on point today." Jimin mentioned. The man then got out of the car as Jungkook handed over the keys and left his jacket there so he could get it later.
"That's why the coffee will help, won't it?" Jungkook asked, walking alongside the older for just in case Jimin didn't lose his balance and falls all of the sudden. Jungkook placed his arm around Jimin as the man flinched and felt himself grow wide awake... But that was only for now.
"Y-Yes and coffee will be the thing that helps me." Jimin said as Jungkook smirked and kept his arm wrapped around Jimin's shoulder as if he already owned him. Jungkook's personality was wild and Jimin could already tell that this daredevil would do anything it takes to get what he wants. Just like back in high school. The way he took things and manipulated others to get them.
The two walked in the building as Jungkook also dragged Jimin's briefcase to the building. The younger took out Jimin's ID badge and placed it over Jimin's head as they passed by security. Before they could walk into the lab to join everyone, Jungkook guided Jimin to the lounge so he could at least get Jimin something.
"You should eat something at home or else you'll just be starving and longing for a break!" Jungkook added as he sat Jimin down on the couch. Jimin looked around and didn't feel so sleepy yet. Jungkook noticed no one set coffee to brew so he alone had to brew it. Jungkook pulled the coffee machine up and discarded the old and used paper cup that held the coffee grinds.
"You don't have to make coffee... I can just eat something from the vending machine." Jimin stated as he stood up. "I'm alright, Jungkook! I really am. It's not like I'm crippled or sick. I'm just really tired." Jimin argued as Jungkook looked back and scoffed at the boy.
"A little grumpy now, are we?" Jungkook chuckled as he began to pour in the water, add in the coffee grinds onto the new and clean sheet of a paper cup and gazed at the older, taking out his wallet from his briefcase to get whatever he wanted on his own. Not allowing the younger to baby him. "Jimin, sit down! I'm your assistant. Let me do these things for you, okay?" Jungkook claimed, setting the coffee to brew and looking back at Jimin to see the older still trying to push in his wons into the vending machine. "Can't you listen?"
"I am but I'm not going to follow your wishes." Jimin stated as Jungkook walked over to Jimin and snatched the wons from his hand. "Jungkook!"
"Jimin." Jungkook answered as he handed the wons back. "You've treated me to two meals. Allow me to get you something." Jungkook added as he looked at the pastries and snacks in the vending machine. Jungkook then took out his own wallet as Jimin sighed and backed up to the couch and dropped down.
"He's too possessive and controlling.." Jimin rolled his eyes and watched the younger take out a lot of wons and push almost all of the snacks in the vending machine! To chips, granola bars, and to sweet pasteries. Jimin's eyes widened and stood up to look at the boy. "Jungkook! What are you doing!" Jimin said in surprise as the younger only let out a chuckle.
"Don't mind it, you've only eaten that box of pizza and drank nothing but soda. You need something to eat." Jungkook claimed and used a random waste bag to throw in all of the snacks that came out of the vending machine. "I don't want you to starve."
"It's just breakfast, not New Years!" Jimin complained as the younger walked up to Jimin and handed him the bag filled with hot puff chips, seaweed chips, crisp and sweet honey butter chips, green dried and salty vegetable kale chips, potato chips, sweet rice cakes, sweet white and warm court cakes, chocolate small cakes, muffins with chocolate chips, cookies, and chocolate granola bars with honey and a mixture of roasted, salty yet sweet peanuts.
"Stop complaining and eat something. I'll serve you your coffee and maybe we can take this to the resource center to check off the samples." Jungkook assured, but Jimin just looked at the whole bag of snacks to keep him going for the day. He was flattered the younger was willing to do this for him, but it wasn't much of a surprise. Jimin already figured his intern liked him so much! He was willing to do anything for his mentor.
Jungkook poured the coffee into a paper coffee cup and added sugar into it along with a vanilla creamer. The boy then sealed the lid with a white plastic top so Jimin wouldn't make a mess on himself. Jungkook made sure it was sealed and nothing can drip off the cup and held the coffee in his hands as he walked up to Jimin. "Jungkook... You didn't have to-"
"Yes I did. Let's go to the resource center before Seokjin complains about most of the snacks missing." Jungkook added, holding out his hand so he can help Jimin up, but the tired man looked at Jungkook and yawned, standing up and blinking his eyes. Jungkook smiled and gave Jimin the coffee, allowing him to take a drink before they started walking to the resource center.
Jungkook made sure he kept an eye on Jimin to see if he didn't look too sleepy enough to drop onto the floor and go to sleep. They then walked to the resource center as Jungkook pulled up a chair by the table and sat Jimin down so he could eat and gain energy to work. Jungkook sat across Jimin and rested his head down on the table, gazing up at Jimin drink out of the coffee.
"Do you like it?" Jungkook asked sweetly and sat up to look at the older. "I can make you a better one if that's okay." Jungkook offered but Jimin shook his head and finally gave a warm smile.
"I-It's okay. The coffee is really good." Jimin said as he looked down at the pasteries. "I can't finish this all on my own..." Jimin claimed as he took out a few pasteries and handed it to Jungkook. "Can you eat with me?"
"Of course." Jungkook responded as Jimin just spilled the snacks onto the table and looked at Jungkook once more.
"Eat what ever you want." Jimin added as he yawned again.
"Is the coffee not doing the trick?" Jungkook worried as Jimin let out a giggle.
"It just didn't kick in yet." Jimin added as Jimin opened up a bag of the small chocolate cakes and began to eat it as Jungkook started to eat from a bag of seaweed chips.
By there, Jungkook looked up at Jimin time to time to make sure the older wouldn't fall asleep but everytime the two would meet eyes, Jimin would start giggling again and again. "I swear this is like high schoolers having a secret date in a library." Jungkook added as Jimin shook his head and still giggled. Was the sugar getting to him or the fact that he was growing fond of the boy? Causing Jimin to giggle and smile at the younger with such a gaze that seemed more deeper than any other gaze when it comes to friends.
"Shh!" Jimin said as he laid his head on the table and looked up at Jungkook. "You talk too much!" Jimin added with a smile as Jungkook tilted his head to return the smile, taking out a napkin from his pocket to wipe Jimin's lip from the chocolate. Jimin looked up at Jungkook and just then, his face turned red. Showing that he was blushing from it.
"I'll try to keep quiet, Jimin~" Jungkook said. After he wiped Jimin's lips clean, he set the napkin down and cupped Jimin's face in his hands as he also placed his head down on the table to look at Jimin through his glasses and right to his beautiful eyes Jungkook always loved looking at from the start.
