Chapter 1: Familiar

The clock flashed 5:00am in the morning. The sun still had yet to rise as nothing but silence filled the big bedroom. The bedroom had a red exterior along the walls, paintings of fruits and pictures of a married couple hanging along the walls. The floors were white carpet covering every corner of the big room. In the middle layed a big queen sized bed with white covers and red pillows on top. A white, wooden headboard and a bedside table that held a clock, lamp and jewelry too.

A young man sat up as he turned on the light of the lamp right by his bed and rubbed his beautiful brown eyes, throwing his red hair back as he looked right by him to see his wife sleeping with her purple nightgown and her brown long hair let loose as the white covers hugged her body. The two looked young. Around their Early to mid twenties. The woman's skin was pale, soft and perfect as her lips glew a soft pink color while her nose tilted a perfect way and her jaw was sculpted perfectly to a V-shape.

The young man stood up, wearing a white T-shirt over his long blue pajama bottoms as he made sure he fixed his side of the bed. The man looked back at his jewelry and stared at his engagement ring he had on the bedside of his table. However, in his point of view, all he saw was nothing but a blur. He grabbed his big, circular glasses and placed it on, blinking his eyes and by there, he was able to see perfectly.

He opened his cabinet to find his work name tag that read his name, "Park Jimin." Jimin placed his name tag on the cabinet as he applied chap stick on his plump and pink lips before walking to his closet to take out his uniform for work. Jimin was a marine biologist who worked in a lab along with scientists to study the life of organisms that lived in the ocean.

Jimin took his clothes to the bathroom to bathe and change into. You would think he would be comfortable to change into his clothes in front of his wife, but apparently, Jimin just didn't feel good about that. Just before he was comfortable with the feeling, but one day... He decided to keep to himself. Not really knowing the reason why.

'You don't have to hide anything from me' 'I am your wife... You should trust me' Jimin's wife would say but Jimin only pulls himself together to please his wife. Even if deep down he felt like his eyes were gliding off the attention of his wife and thinking 'What if I didn't have this ring?' Of course, Jimin ignored that and would just laugh it off. Knowing it was just a call from the void. Feeding him foolish thoughts time to time.

Jimin stepped out of the bathroom after washing up and changing. He wore his white dress shirt tucked into his black slacks as he held the black tie in his hands. Jimin blow dried his hair and tied the laces on his black classic shoes for work. The only thing that didn't look professional was just his red, cherry, vibrant red hair that his wife would always tease him playfully for it.

As soon as he stepped out, his wife was already awake, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking at Jimin with a bright and adorable smile. Her eyes were dark brown and slightly covered by her brown and straight bangs that covered her forehead. "Good morning, my prince charming~" said the woman as she stood up to look at Jimin ready for work.

"Go to bed, Yun-se." Jimin added as his playful wife hugged him from the back, laying her head on Jimin's back. "You're so annoying." Jimin chuckled as Yun-se smiled happily.

The woman stepped in front of Jimin and began to help him with his tie. "You'll be gone all day.. again?"

"You know I will." Jimin responded as Yun-se pouted.

"I'm tired of staying alone. Today is my day off... Which means my Mother will get here and teach me how to be a future Mother." Yun-se sighed and tied the tie along Jimin's collar. "Can you stay? My Mother is such a pain... Expects me to have children while I'm only twenty five! I still look young and I need to focus on work more. I don't have time for changing diapers. Stay here so you can talk to her! My Mother listens to you more than her own daughter." Yun-se sighed as Jimin shook his head placing on his ring.

"I'm scared of her. Mrs. Lee is really strict and if I am here when she's around, she'll start to judge my 'round glasses' and call me four eyes multiple times. It's mean." Jimin responded as his wife walked over to the bed to sit down again. "Listen, Yun-se... I can't stay home today."

         "Why?"

"Today we are getting assigned to teach interns and show them around the lab. It helps them and tests my knowledge on teaching others!"

"Nerd." Yun-se teased. She giggled after as Jimin laughed in return, putting on his name tag. "Can you come by around your break?"

"Sorry, Yun. If I do, your mother will be there to mock me for... Well? Anything really! Last time, I had to make her kimchi. It was a test and I failed miserably." Jimin said with a smile before gazing back at the time. "Fuck... I need to get to work now." Jimin said as Yun-se sighed and layed back on the bed.

"Goodbye husband, hello Satan..." Yun-se added as Jimin laughed and looked back at his wife, dramatically sighing so Jimin could stay instead.

"I doubt you would like it if I was to tell Mrs. Lee what her own daughter is saying about her."

"NO I TAKE IT BACK!" Yun-se shouted as she sat up quickly to look at her husband. "You always like to tease me, huh?"

"You do the same." Jimin shot back as his wife giggled and layed back on the bed. "I have to go now."

"I love you, good luck!" Yun-se added sweetly while she played with her hair.

"Love you too. Good luck with Satan!" Jimin laughed as he quickly ran out of the room before his wife could add onto anything else. Jimin ran out of his house with his coat and briefcase case, making sure he was quick to get in his black  2017 Genesis G80 car and head off to work. The house Jimin lived in was a one story house, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big backyard, a kitchen and a wide living room.

Jimin drove off to work, stopping by a store to pick up coffee to stay awake throughout his day. Even if at times it would fail anyways. Jimin eventually pulled up by the parking lot of the big building that was far and closed off by an ocean to get a good view of the organisms that lived underwater. Jimin placed on his ID badge, carried his briefcase, his coat and his coffee as he pressed his glasses up against his face so it wouldn't fall.

Jimin cursed under his breath, gazing at the time on his phone before locking the car door and speed walking to the entrance of the building. "I knew I shouldn't have talked to Yun-se for so long!" Jimin added and hurried in where security scanned his ID to enter and sign in for work. Inside the building was white walls and big paintings of the ocean that Jimin now found annoying since it was the first thing he would see every single day when he steps in for work.

The man hurried down the white hall after a woman at the front desk unlocked the door to the stairs that will lead him down stairs and into the lab for work. By there, he will start his day and get assigned to work with an intern. As soon as Jimin reached the lab, many biologists Looked his direction and looked away to resume their research.

As Jimin walked to his section, he could see his good friend, Kim Seokjin standing by a tank of cute and pink Axolotls. Seokjin was tall, he had broad shoulders, black silk hair, a pale and a gorgeous prince face along with a handsome appearance. He wore a white lab coat over his light blue dress shirt, long white tie and black slacks with dark black classic shoes. Seokjin was part of Jimin team in the group of biologists, researching and discovering new things under the sea or what ever dwells at the bottom of the ocean floors.

"Seokjin, leave my Axolotls alone." Jimin laughed as he placed on his white lab coat for work. Seokjin then looked up at Jimin to wink.

"They were just telling me I am the best looking biologist in here!" Seokjin laughed as he hit Jimin's shoulder. Followed by a windshield wiper laugh that caused Jimin to laugh in return.

"Shut up." Jimin tried to stop laughing but his older friend just kept moving his eyebrows up and down as soon as Jimin would look back at Seokjin. "Ah! I said stop!" Jimin giggled and fixed his glasses to look up at the older. "Anyways, are the interns here?"

"Newbies? Yeah they're by the lounge. In a while the chief will bring them out and assign them to us." Seokjin said as he sat down on Jimin's office chair to roll around the section. "How is Yun-se?"

"She's alright. Annoying time to time but I love her either way." Jimin responded as he started to look through the office cabinet to take out folders for work. "Hey Seokjin, didn't I have a-"

"LISTEN LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I WILL BE ASSIGNING THE INTERNS TO YOU ALL NOW SO WE WOULDN'T WASTE TIME!" Shouted an older chief who held a list of the intern's names and who will they be assigned to. The man was an elder wearing a lab coat and a green plaid vest under with khakis and classic shoes. This man was strict and didn't like repeating himself to his workers.

Jimin rolled his eyes and looked over at the group of interns walking in, just then he found a young man that caught his attention. Jimin found the boy familiar and squinted his eyes to pay attention to every detail on his face so he could remember. The boy had grey circular glasses, light brown hair, small but perfectly plump lips, a muscular body under his black and oversized jacket over his white dress shirt, black slacks and classic shoes like what anyone else would wear at the lab. The boy had a bunny-like face with such a sly look on his big round eyes that caused Jimin to find this boy extremely familiar like he has seen him before.

Jimin kept staring until the the boy looked at Jimin and winked followed by a smirk so playfully. Causing Jimin to look away to avoid uncomfortable eye contact. All of the sudden, from that sly gaze the young bunny like boy gave the older, Jimin was able to recognize that troublemaker from anywhere.
