"and I was like baby baby baby ohh "
"IT REALLY HASN'T CHANGED." They'd all reunited at the west's house. Robyn was currently in awe. It'd been so long since she had seen this house. This house, she considered her home.
" Joe's way too attached to let it go." Said man sent a glare at Barry's way as they all laughed.
" That's quite true!"
The front door flung open as Iris arrived. She'd received a text from her dad, informing her upon her best friend/sister's arrival. Silence took over. It wasn't uncomfortable, it was just filled with emotions.
Iris' eyes watered as Robyn approached her. "Binnie."
" Annie." The dark-skinned beauty was quick to engulf her long lost friend. They clung onto eachother taking eachother's warmth. Tears streamed down her face; she was back. Her Robyn was back.
She was scared to let go. Was this one of her many dreams? No. It couldn't be. It was felt too real. She was real. Robyn was in her arms, like she'd dreamed of for years. Iris knew she couldn't cling unto her forever but as long as she was her forever, but she didn't want to let go.
Robyn was whispering soft words, telling her that she was here, rubbing her back as she sobbed. Reassuring her.
Iris pushed herself back and took in the familiar but more mature face of her friend. " You're back." Her smile turned into a frown. " Where have you been? You just disappeared. We were so worried. I was so worried. You can't just do that!"
She listened to her short rant with a soft smile on her face. " I know and I'm sorry. I will explain everything. I promise. "
Looking back, the duo realizes that they weren't alone. The emotional moment between the two seemed to have touch others in the room. Especially Joe. Seeing them together again after years of separation made him happy.
" Dude, you're crying." Cisco told Barry.
He looked back judging him. " Dude, you're crying."
Cisco touched his have feeling the tears. " Oh."
Robyn chuckled at the interaction before going back to her seat. She took a deep breath knowing this would take some time.
"Okay, is everyone ready? Drinks? Snacks? Hugs? Yeah? The moment we've all been waiting for. I'll explain it all. "
"October 13th, 2002. I was in my room working on this machine. That was all I did. Everyday. It was a bit unusual but everyone got used to it." A few chuckled as she said that. "Yeah, I was a weird kid..."
"AND I WAS LIKE BABY BABY BABY OHHHH" The song blasted through the speakers. Robyn absolutely hated that song. Why would she put a song she doesn't like? Well, it made her concentrate better on what she was doing. To block it out.
The little buzzes filled the air as she put wires together. She hums in satisfaction. The power source was attached. The prototype was over, all she had to do is make it pretty.
Robyn inspected it, making sure it was perfect. Every wire were connected, the screws were well attached. It was perfect. Worthy to be called one of her creations.
" Let's try this thing out." She whispered to herself.
As she turned it on, it vibrated. It was working just fine. Happy with the result, she went to turn it off, but it wouldn't. The vibrations only grew in speed. Hitting the button multiple times, she started panicking. A light was starting to form around it, and she didn't wike it...
" Woah..." Her voice was shaky as her body vibrated at the same frequency than the machine, but it also shook out of fear.
The sound of an explosion hit everyone's ears. Silence followed it. They waited to hear a "I'm okay" coming from the room but it never came and that worried them. Rushing to the room, they expect to at least see her injured, but she wasn't. She wasn't there.
" Dad..." Iris voiced out as tears filled her eyes. Barry starred at the room, looking for his best friend, but she was nowhere found.
" It'll be okay."
"THAT'S WHAT MADE THE EXPLOSION?" Joe asked Robyn as she finished telling the first part of the story.
" Yup." She responded as Iris leaned into her touch.
He stared at her before taking a sip of liquor. "Continue."
ROBYN'S BODY DROPPED ON THE FLOOR. Hard but not enough to bruise. Sitting up, she looked around. Trying to find anything or anyone she knew but nothing.
" Where am I?" She muttered.
That's when some superhero looking band arrived at the scene. Robyn watched as they approached her.
' Tinman, American Flag, normy, muscles and a pretty woman.'
The Tinman looked down at her before looking back to his band. " This is a child."
" Gee, we didn't notice." The pretty woman rolled her eyes.
" Okay." He turned back to the Robyn. " Okay, kid. Who are you?"
She didn't respond as she inspected the suit in awe. " Kid?"
" Oh! Yeah. " She shook her head coming back to her sense. " I'm Robyn Asher Spade. Who are you?"
Tinman scoffed in offense. " Who am I?" He looked back as his teammates shook heads, rolled eyes. " I am Ironman!"
She stared at him. " Never heard of you."
Muscles covered his laugh with a cough. Tinman was very offended.
Tinman opened his mask, showcasing the extreme disbelief that he was in. "I'm Tony Stark. Uh, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." She shakes her head. "The kid really doesn't know me."
Pretty woman rolled her eyes before approaching Robyn. "Hi, I'm Natasha Romanoff but you can call me Nat."
" Hi, Nat." She smiled. " You're really pretty."
Nat smiled back at her. " Thank you. So are you." She helped her get up.
Robyn dusted her pants before waving to the rest of the band. " Are you guys' superheroes?"
Black widow chuckled. " I guess so."
Her eyes lit up at the new information. "Cool!"
"That's Captain America aka Steve Rogers " American Flag. " Hawkeye, Clint Barton" Muscles. " And Bruce Banner aka The Hulk." Normy.
" Nice to meet you all."
" Alright, where did you come from? How did you get here? Why are you here?" Tony got tired of all the introductions. Her not knowing him made his patience run thin.
"Stark."
" I'm from Central City. I was in my room working on my new machine. I haven't named it yet. It overcharged and I ended up here. I had no intention of coming here. I don't even know where I am."
" Central city?"
" Yeah, close to Starling."
They shared looks. They seemed to be thinking the same. " Kid. Those cities don't exist?"
" How old are you?" The walking American flag asked.
" I'm 13."
" Birth date?"
" March 13, 1989." Nat looked at Robyn.
" You're 23?"
" No. I'll be 23 in 10 years. It's 2002. " She chuckled not understanding why she would be asked such a question.
" Kid," She looked up at the Genius whatever whatever he said. " It's 2012."
She suddenly felt light-headed, her throat dry. She felt like she was either going to pass out or throw up. Or both. " What?"
"YOU WENT TO THE FUTURE?" Cisco shouted. This was better than any movie he'd ever watched.
" Kinda. I was in another universe where they have a ten-year difference with our universe." Iris squeezed her eyes shut.
" This gives me a headache."
" Tell me about it. " Joe gulped down the rest of his drink. " So, you're 36?"
" Nope. I am 26 in both universes."
"2025?" Caitlin asked taking in the information.
" Yeah."
" What happens after?" Cisco asked so invested in the story.
" Well, the Avengers took me in. I met some gods. Finished school at 16. Became an avenger after fighting with a homicidal Artificially intelligent being called Ultron. Wars on wars. Deaths. A lot of people died. Another big war but I got my moment when I literally saved the whole universe. I saved the avengers."
" Gods?! You had an epic life, dude." Cisco complimented.
" Yeah. Why and how did you come back?" Barry who hadn't said anything the whole time, asked what had been on his mind.
" When everyone was finally safe, everyone was gonna get a normal life. Go back home. Even though I'd made a home there with the Avengers, a piece of yearned to come back here. It was time for me to come home. They supported my decision. From 2023 to 2025 we were working on a way for me to come back. The ship, navigating through universes. It took some time, but I made it. I'm here." Robyn smiled as tears filled her eyes. Caitlin knew that look. There was more to the story than what she'd just said.
" Aww." Iris hugged her tightly.
Barry added himself to the hug. " We're glad to have you back."
Robyn looked up at him, meeting his eyes. " I'm glad to be back." They shared a smile.
Robyn was back and she was happy to be back.
" Enough with me. What did I miss?"
They all shared a look. " A lot."
A/n:
Hello people!
How are you?
A little crossover doesn't hurt anyone.
A few notes, Baby by Justin Bieber hadn't come out yet but for the sake of the story, it had.
Robyn calls Iris Annie, because Ann is her middle name. The nickname Binnie was given by Barry, but Iris adopted it.
The avengers are alive and well. It's my book I do what I want. Our genius, Robyn found a way to keep them alive. Praise Robyn 🛐
Half the shit I said didn't make sense but ignore that.
I dropped a few references for Marvel fans. I hope you'll be able to find it.
Tell me what you think about this chapter.
In all honesty, I'm not a fan. Like I like it, but the writing feels off. I'll probably rewrite it.
Happy New Year 🤍
Edit: I had to change a few things but it's back now.
Thank you
Daniel <3
