(Note : Flashbacks have ended. Quick recap of present : Jeonghan had suffered a panic attack at night as he tried to recall his past and was admitted to the hospital. Joshua and Mingyu had visited the Rose Quartz team as they were suspecious of their relationship with Jeonghan.)

• Serenity Hotel •

As the story of Jeonghan with his best friends ended, everything fell silent except for small sniffles from each and every person in the room including Joshua and Mingyu. No one realised but it was already 5 in the morning. The faint chirpings of birds were audible and the shalow golden sunlight was litting up selected areas of the hall through the windows.

Wonwoo cleaned his glasses along with wiping the moisture in his eyes. Woozi and Seungcheol had faint trail of tears on their cheeks which had dried already. Jun and Minghao just stared at the floor blankly. Seokmin had to go to wash his face and Vernon followed him to console him after which they returned to the hall.

Joshua and Mingyu were too stunned to react. They had seen Jeonghan's condition very closely. All the times when he wouldn't stop crying, when he would suddenly faint, when he would crave to know about his past and end up with a panic attack and of course the times when he would turn his room upside down because he would be too frustrated at himself.

Now they understood why? His heart never allowed him to forget those great feelings. His past was too good to burn into ashes. His family was still waiting for him even though they had no hopes left within themselves.

They now had all the clues about his past and wanted to reveal everything to him. But it wasn't that easy. Spilling everything to him at once would do nothing but risk his life. And that was the last thing they wanted to do.

It was pretty obvious that letting Jeonghan know about his own past was going to be a very difficult and gradual task. But his well-wishers were ready for it. After all seeing him alive was itself a very good news for Rose Quartz.

Seungcheol excused himself and left the gathering. In a few moments, he returned with a black, medium sized bag. He carefully placed it on the table in front of Joshua and Mingyu as they looked at him.

He took a deep breath, "These are a few things we all treasure since the day he left. You both are going to be the first people to see this except for the seven of us."

He unzipped the chain and pulled out an album. He handed it to the two with a fond smile, "We made it all by ourselves."

Joshua and Mingyu gulped the lump in their throat because of the overwhelming emotions and tried to stay calm. But it was all gone when they flipped open the album and tears began to flow through their eyes recklessly.

How could someone cherish their bond to this level?

Sometimes, without knowing why, suddenly

And they kept flipping the pages as their emotions flipped within their hearts too. If all of this was hurting them to the core then they didn't even want to imagine the misery of the other seven.

All of the pictures were heart warming. Jeonghan looked genuinely happy in them, everyone did. They could now feel how the group would have broken down and lost all of its livelihood after one member's unfortunate departure. They could now understand why Jeonghan suddenly used to miss someone not knowing who.

Their bond was so strong that even if the brain forgot everything, the heart kept alive every inch of those memories.

After wandering through all of the stuff, Joshua finally spoke, "Shall we begin our mission to cure Jeonghan's amnesia?"

The dull faces now lit up. Seungcheol was the first to react, "Of course!! But we've to handle everything with care."

"Exactly. According to Miss Park, his therapist, his condition is very sensi-" Mingyu halted as an idea popped up in his head, "Wait- I think we should involve her in our plan. She will guide us in a way that won't harm Jeonghan hyung."

"But-" Wonwoo began, "We don't know where his family lives right now. They're definitely not in Busan because after that incident, even we could never step into this city."

"What? You never came to Busan in those six years?" Mingyu's eyes widened.

Woozi nodded, "It wasn't easy for us to come here. We almost declined your deal as well but now we know, everything happens for a reason."

"Let's call Kihyun?" Minghao suggested, "We can probably establish contact."

"Who's he?" Joshua asked.

"Jeonghan's younger brother." Jun stated, "Henceforth, our younger brother too."

"How will we face them?" Seokmin looked down, "We turned our backs to them at that time. We shouldn't have done that."

"So are we going to let them stay oblivious of all this? No right?" Vernon reasoned, "They deserve to know everything before anybody else."

"I'll call him." Seungcheol declared, "Right now."

The room fell silent as Seungcheol pulled out his phone. He dialed a contact number and put it on speaker. After a few seconds, the call connected, "Hello? Yoon Kihyun?"

"H-hy-hyung." Kihyun's voice quivered.

"You recognised me?" Seungcheol's voice softened.

"Of course." Kihyun inhaled a deep breath, "I feel like I'm dreaming. Where did you all disappear? Why are you calling me after six freaking years?"

"I'm sorry. We're all sorry to you, mom and dad."

"Jeonghan hyung left us because of fate but you all left us by choice." Kihyun sniffled, "I used to hate you all for it. But I realised, it must be hard for you too."

"Jeonghan didn't leave us Kihyun."

"What?"

"Yes, he's alive."

"WHAT?!! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? HAVE YOU GONE CRAZY?" Kihyun choked on his own words, "Hyung this is not funny."

"No, I'm not crazy. We just found out yesterday." With that, Seungcheol explained the whole scenario to the younger, "Where are you all now?"

"In Iksan. I'll text you the address, please visit us as soon as possible." He cried, "You don't know what I'm feeling right now."

"Don't tell mom and dad right now. We'll explain everything to them together okay?"

"Yes hyung, please come soon, I'll be waiting for all of you."

"Of course, take care." He hung up the call.

"Iksan." Wonwoo muttered, "Even they never looked back at this place."

"Everything is just too much for me." Mingyu confessed, "I honestly never thought that this was possible. I always used to think that Jeonghan hyung's closed ones must have moved on with their lives."

"No wonder he still loves and misses you all." Joshua displayed a small smile.

"What?"

"Yeah. He misses you all a lot, he just doesn't remember who is he missing." Mingyu added, "He says he wants to feel that love again but he's clueless over whatever he has left behind."

"But let's just end this all now." Joshua declared, "Enough of misery and cold days. Let's bring your and his happiness back."

"But-" Seokmin hesitated, "What if he doesn't recall anything?"

"Don't be pessimistic, Seokmin." Mingyu stated.

"His worries are practical though." Joshua intervened, "We can't promise anything. The doctors had already said that his case is a bit messed up."

"If we won't be able to recollect his past-" Seungcheol stood up, "We'll join his present. We can get close to him in the present. We can bring back those old days without stressing him."

"You're right hyung." Woozi chuckled, "Let's focus on what we've now."

"Can you help us in fixing this deal at all costs so that we can get close to him while working on this project?" Jun asked the duo.

"Of course, just assume that the deal is already fixed." Joshua assured.

"Great." Minghao remarked, "We should begin our mission now."

"You're right." Mingyu nodded, "Let's go to meet hyung's family today itself. We both will come with you."

"Sure." Jun agreed, "But what are we going to tell him?"

"Jeonghan?" Joshua paused, "Leave it on us, we'll figure it out and tell you."

"Alright."

Mingyu looked at his watch, "We're leaving for now. Let's go to Jeonghan hyung's therapist, Jihyo by 8 am, is that okay?"

"Yeah but I don't think all of us should go?" Vernon suggested.

"Yeah, me and Jun will go with them." Seungcheol referred to Joshua and Mingyu.
