It had been 3 months since they graduated and everyone got a stable placement in well reputed companies. Well, their actual goal was business but they needed experience and funds for it so yeah, they were working.

Jeonghan got accepted in the IT sector of a multi-business company and Minghao was accepted in the same company as a structure designer. Jun, Vernon and Woozi were accepted in an architectural company as structure designer, material investigator and web structure designer respectively. Seungcheol and Wonwoo were accepted in another architectural company as chief designers.

Everyone had their respective and extremely hectic lives to carry on but did that effect their friendship? Not at all. They still managed to find time to spend it with each other. They were still growing close to one another and they believed nothing had the power to separate them.

"Why are you both not drinking?" Seokmin asked the two eldest ones, "Only inhaling food."

"Someone has to take you home right?" Seungcheol retorted.

"C'mon hyung we aren't going to be drunk or something." Vernon stated.

"You aren't driving even after one shot, got it?" Jeonghan rebuked, "Plus I've to do some work till late night so of course I'm not going to drink."

"I've to attend a seminar tomorrow." Woozi scoffed, "It's stupid."

"The one organised by Mr. Cha?" Jun laughed, "All the best then."

"I hate you and Vernon. Why are you guys not coming?" Woozi irritatedly sighed.

"Because we're in a different department." Vernon shared a high five with Jun.

"Why what's wrong though?" Minghao asked.

"Nothing, he just loves to annoy everyone because his wife left him." Jun replied.

"That's lowkey sad." Seokmin remarked.

"Not at all." Woozi rolled his eyes, "He was- no, He IS a walking red flag. And-"

"Hyung, let's not discuss about him right now." Vernon scoffed.

"Every office has these certain kind of people." Minghao stated, "There's nothing you can do about it."

"Exactly, it's fair to move on with your own work, that's it." Seungcheol added.

It was when Jeonghan's phone rang. He excused himself from everyone, did a small talk and returned in a slightly panicked expression.

"What happened Jeonghan?" Seungcheol held his hand.

"Dad-" Jeonghan choked, "He's admitted in the hospital. It's an emergency, I'll have to go to Busan."

"Sure." Seungcheol stood up, "I'll come with you."

"No it's fine, I'll go alone." Jeonghan took a deep breath, "I'll call you if required."

"Okay listen to me." Seungcheol held his shoulders, "Don't panic okay, or everything would go wrong."

"I'll have to hurry-" Jeonghan blurted out but Seungcheol put his finger on the younger's lips, "Calm down okay? We're here."

Seokmin stood beside Jeonghan to console him while Seungcheol turned towards everyone, "Let's go, I'll drop you all at Wonwoo's place as it is nearest to Jeonghan's apartment. Woozi, book the latest flight for him while we're in the car and Jeonghan, I'll take you to your apartment to pack, okay? Now hurry up everyone."

They cleared the bill and rushed towards the car. Seungcheol took the driver's seat and Jeonghan took the passenger's seat while everyone settled at the middle and back seats.

"Hyung, there's a flight tomorrow morning and another in 2 hours." Woozi informed.

"I can't wait till tomorrow." Jeonghan muttered, "Book the other one and send me the amount."

"You don't need to worry about that." Woozi assured, "I'll send you the ticket."

Within a while Seungcheol stopped the car in front of a building in which Wonwoo's apartment was located, "Everyone, we're here."

They got off the car quickly as they wished a safe journey to Jeonghan and asked him to take care.

Seungcheol began to drive again, "Jeonghan, let me come with you."

"It's really fine Seungcheol, I would have asked you for help if needed." Jeonghan nodded, "Don't worry."

"You're stubborn." Seungcheol scoffed although he couldn't argue any further. It was Jeonghan's family matter so he couldn't force much. He just held the stearing from one hand and the gear from another, really tightly.

Jeonghan sensed the older's worries as he placed his hand over Seungcheol's hand on the gear, "Seungcheol, I promise I won't hesitate to call you if needed. I don't know about the exact situation either."

Seungcheol took a deep breath and nodded, "Just take care, okay?"

"Of course."

They reached Jeonghan's apartment and he packed his stuff quickly.

"We've some time, you can rest if you want." Seungcheol suggested.

"I'll better wait at the airport." Jeonghan insisted, "Let's go."

Seungcheol complied with the younger's demand so here they were, at the airport, sitting at the waiting arena.

"Do you want to eat something?" Seungcheol sat beside the younger.

"No." Jeonghan mumbled.

Seungcheol caressed Jeonghan's back, "It's alright Jeonghan, don't worry much. Everything will be fine."

"I hope so." Jeonghan leaned into Seungcheol's embrace.

Seungcheol had previously planned to confess his feelings to Jeonghan that day but this was of course not the time. After hearing the news, he had postponed his plan to when everything would settle down.

I love you. Seungcheol stated within himself to at least do what he had promised to himself.

Dearest, darling, my universe
Will you take me?
With my poor imagination
To a place I can't remember

"Oh wait." Jeonghan searched for something in his bag, "Here it is." He pulled out a chain and fixed it around Seungcheol's neck.

"What are you doing?" Seungcheol remained clueless.

"You look cool in plain chains like this. Don't worry Seungcheol, I'll be back in a week or so." Jeonghan chuckled, "I bought this yesterday because I thought it will suit you."

"Okay thank you so much for this gift." Seungcheol nodded, "C'mon get up now or else you'll miss your flight."

Jeonghan gave him one last quick hug, "Take care."

"You too."

And that was the last time they saw each other in person, when they felt each other's warmth, when they felt each other's unexpressed but true love.

Will you please come with me?
Wherever it is
Searching for opposite of long term loneliness
Run away from the world
Come with me to the end, lover

"How are you all?" Jeonghan asked over the call as he talked to Seungcheol.

"Everyone is fine. What about you and Dad?"

"I'm also fine." Jeonghan nodded, "Dad- he's still under observation."

"Don't worry Jeonghan, it will be fine. Just take care of yourself and your family."

"Of course. Did you eat dinner?"

"Yeah, I went out actually. Miss Park organised one for us."

"What? You- uh- you went out with Miss Park?"

"It was a team dinner. I didn't go alone with her." Seungcheol laughed.

"I didn't say anything though." Jeonghan cleared up.

"Your tone was pretty obvious. Anyways, how about you? Did you eat?"

"Yeah I did."

"Jeonghan? I can already sense that you're not okay. Please, you can talk to me."

"Of course I'm not okay. I can't see Dad like this and Mom is continuously crying as well. Kihyun is young, I've to make sure he's fine as well. I can't share my concerns with anyone here."

"That's why I wanted to come with you."

"It's okay Seungcheol, you're still helping a lot."

"That's just for the words. I'm asking you again Jeonghan, do you want me to come? I'll be there as soon as you say yes."

"To be honest, I want you to be here but then, I know, mom will try to pretend that she's fine. Same goes with Kihyun."

"Why? Am I not family?"

"You are. But try to understand Seungcheol, I swear I'll call you when required. Do you think I'll hesitate to?"

"I hope you don't. And-"

It was when Kihyun came running to Jeonghan, "Hyung! I'm going to buy these supplements, take care of mom."

"Seungcheol, I'll talk to you later." Jeonghan hung up the call, "What happened? It isn't available here?"

"No and these are a bit different and the place is a bit far away." Kihyun informed, "That's why I'll have to go."

"Don't worry, I'll go." Jeonghan patted the younger's shoulder, "Take care of mom and dad. I'll buy the required supplements."

"Okay, here you go." Kihyun handed him a slip and the car keys.

Jeonghan took a look over the slip and then went to the parking lot. He took the car and smoothly reached his destination. It looked like an old school place for processing medicines but as long as things worked, it didn't matter.

Jeonghan met the receptionist who guided him to another room. The person who seemed to be the doctor in charge carefully scanned the slip.

"Okay, it will take about half an hour." The man informed.

"Half an hour?" Jeonghan was bewildered, "Really?"

"Yeah, please wait there." The man showed him the place, "Do you want some coffee, tea or something?" Another staff member arrived to attend him.

"One coffee will do, thank you." Jeonghan smiled after which he called Kihyun, "Hello Kihyun? They said it will take half an hour to prepare the medicines, am I at the right place?"

"Yes hyung, it works like that, don't worry." Kihyun assured.

"Okay then." Jeonghan hung up the call as he got his coffee.

He took a deep breath, for once he felt like everything was going to be well. His dad was going to be fine and his family was going to be happy again.

He unconsciously got hold of the locket he was wearing. It was when he started to miss Seungcheol.

After all, Jeonghan was in love with him. Seungcheol was the only person who had seen him at his worst. At this moment, his family was his priority but missing Seungcheol wasn't a selfish act right?

Yes, Seungcheol was the only one he used to completely rely on. He was friends with him and Woozi since childhood while he met the rest of his friends in the university.

And he was grateful to have them around him. He didn't have a large friend circle but the ones he had were ready to do anything and everything for one another. He could swear that he had the best people around him.

He pulled out his phone and began to look at the pictures of Seungcheol and him. A small smile crept up his lips, "I'm so lucky to have him in my life. Not only him, all of my friends, my family, everyone cares for me a lot."

"I miss you." Jeonghan muttered to Seungcheol's pictures. He loved the older's company a lot. He was his warmth during the cold days. He was his happiness whenever he felt sad. He was his encouragement whenever he wanted to give up.

What more did Jeonghan want?

"I wish I could've told you how much I love you before coming here." Jeonghan recalled how he had planned a surprise for Seungcheol to finally confess his feelings but life had an even immense surprise for him.

He couldn't prioritise his confession over his father's critical condition.

"But don't worry, as soon as I come back, I'll claim your embrace as mine, and only mine." Jeonghan chuckled. He was very confident that he would never get to hear a 'no' from the older.

I carefully hold you in my eyes
Please smile comfortably one more time
Floating as if swimming
Like that night

"Wow, I just want to hug you so bad."

And that was the reason he was being restless. He couldn't wait to hear the most satisfactory 'yes' of all time.

"I'll buy some gifts for him and everyone before leaving Busan, yes, that's a great idea." Jeonghan felt proud over himself.

"Mr. Yoon." The receptionist called.

"Yes!" Jeonghan walked towards the reception and collected his order, "Thank you."

He left the place, got into his car and began to drive back to the hospital situated in the heart of Busan.

After a smooth drive of around 20 minutes, he abruptly saw something which looked like an animal, crossing the road swiftly.

He instinctively turned the stearing and as a result his car clashed against a huge tree. Yes, he got into a horrible accident.

The glasses of his car cracked and his head bumped right against the stearing. But he was still a bit conscious. Jeonghan somehow opened the door of his car but unfortunately he slipped against the borders of the terrifying forest.

He rolled down the steep land of the wilderness as his head once again for struck against the huge rock. And at the end, he felt his eyes shutting gradually as he let himself drown within the thin line between life and death.

And in those few moments, he recalled the promises he has made to his friends and family. The promises he had made to Seungcheol. The love he could never express and the warmth that he craved the most.

Were they all going to vanish in thin air? Are all the promises, meant to be broken?

Is it a bad ending?
The two of us lost
Hold me tight until I break down
Come with me to the end, my lover

"It has been a week." Woozi sighed.

"Exactly, his phone is not reachable and no one among his family members is picking up the call." Seungcheol worriedly stated.

"Is Dad- what if- he?" Wonwoo hesitantly stated.

"You're right, Wonwoo." Jun felt bad, "His condition was constantly severe, there's a possibility of a casualty."

"I hope that's not the case." Seokmin prayed.

"Let's go to Busan." Minghao suggested, "Like, for how long are we going to wait?"

"Exactly, Jeonghan might need us. His family might need us." Seungcheol stood up, "We need to go, urgently."

"But hyung, is it okay if we just show up like that?" Vernon asked, "I mean we literally have no clue about the situation."

"We've already wasted a whole week thinking over this and that, let's just go now." Woozi retorted, "We're all a family, we should be there."

"It will be okay hyung." Jun patted Seungcheol's shoulders.

"I know I'm just worried." Seungcheol muttered, "Anyways, let's not overthink. We're set to go to Busan."

Although Seungcheol was pretending to be calm, he was extremely worried. And why not? He hadn't heard from Jeonghan for a week when he very well knew that Jeonghan would never avoid him even in the most extreme cases.

'Don't overthink Seungcheol, he must be all good.'

A/n : As you all might have guessed, it was mentioned in an earlier chapter, Hoshi and Mingyu found Jeonghan after this accident and they took him to the orphanage.

Okay guys, let me clear something up. Drugs are NOT always THOSE drugs which are yk negative ones.

I don't know much but I'll explain whatever I've studied in chemistry. Medicines are all just drugs but when taken in a controlled amount. They're basically non-narcotic drugs which are NOT addictive. Aspirin and paracetamol are the examples. They're taken in a controlled amount as per the prescriptions and hence they just do their job.

And the ones we all think whenever we hear or read the word drugs, are the narcotic ones which are addictive.

I hope that helps because when I mentioned it in a previous chapter, some asked me if Jeonghan was being "drugged". Yes he was, but not with the narcotic ones.

Anyways, take care everyone!
