40 - Love Me Like You Do

<Serenity Mansion>

Wonwoo was walking alone in the garden while thinking about something which never actually left his mind.

"It's beautiful to love you. Be it one sided, this feeling is pure. No expectations, no demands, I just love you because it's you."

"I love you hyung. Since the day I met you, I lost myself to you."

He was confused with his feelings. He wanted to be hundred percent sure before making any move because hurting Mingyu because of being reckless was the last thing he wanted.

"If Mingyu moves on and starts loving someone else someday, will I be hurt?"

Wonwoo asked himself.

"I don't have to think about it, I was already very annoyed when I used to think he was dating Miss Park." Wonwoo sighed to himself.

"But this is not a way to define love." Wonwoo sat on the bench and closed his eyes.

And after that, all he could see was Mingyu's smile. How adorable. That smile suits him.

"And I want to be the reason for his smile, don't I?" Wonwoo stood up. His thoughts were interrupted when Minghao approached him, "Hyung, have you seen Jun hyung?"

"Jun?" Wonwoo paused, "I don't know, call him, no?"

"I did but he didn't pick up." Minghao muttered.

"Oh yeah, I heard he had a meeting along with Seungkwan." Wonwoo informed, "They must be in the office."

"Okay thank you." Minghao nodded as he rushed to his car. He buckled the seatbelt and started driving.

"That's it, I'm not waiting for you anymore." Minghao mumbled as he sped up the car.

As he reached the office, he found Jun and Seungkwan exiting the meeting room while discussing something.

"Oh Minghao hyung!" Seungkwan acknowledged.

"Hey!" Minghao chuckled awkwardly.

"You, here?" Jun asked.

"I had to talk to you." Minghao stated.

"But I was coming home." Jun retorted.

"It's important." Minghao replied.

Seungkwan sensed the tension between them, "Excuse me guys, I'll leave, okay? I've some important work. Have a nice day!"

The other two nodded as Seungkwan left.

"Come." Jun guided the younger to an empty cabin, "What happened Minghao? Is everything alright?"

"No." Minghao stared at him, "I thought we didn't have any secrets between us, hyung."

"Uh- what do you mean?" Jun was confused.

"You're hiding a huge secret from me." Minghao stated, "I don't know for how long."

"If you know then how's it secret?" Jun paused, "And what is it at the first place?"

"What are we?"

"Best friends, of course." Jun smiled.

Minghao inhaled a deep breath, "Great. So my best friend, I need to tell you something."

"What?"

"I got a boyfriend." Minghao smiled widely.

"W-what?" Jun felt his heart beating faster, "Who?"

"Mingyu." Minghao blabbered out of nowhere.

"What?" Jun scrunched his brows, "We used to tease them for Wonwoo-"

"Used to." Minghao intervened, "Wonwoo hyung asked us to stop, didn't he? Because both of them didn't like it."

Jun gulped, "When did this happen?"

"Yesterday." Minghao walked closer to the older, "You're the first one to know because you're my bestfriend."

"Nice." Jun forced a smile, "Congratulations."

Minghao stayed silent, "Is it really fine for you that I got a boyfriend?"

"If you're happy, then of course it's fine." Jun unevenly muttered.

"Seriously hyung?" Minghao frowned, "You don't want to fight for your love, even once?"

"What?!" Jun was bewildered.

"I'm not dating Mingyu. Heck, we all know he has something for Wonwoo hyung." Minghao turned away, "I just wanted to know your reaction."

"My reaction?"

"Yeah. Because I thought if you'll know that you're going to lose your last chance of confessing your feelings then you'll say it." Minghao chuckled bitterly, "But you didn't. You still didn't. Why do you love me when you're not going to say it?!"

Jun gasped as he held the younger's arms to turn him around, "How do you know?"

"Dino accidentally spilled it." Minghao replied, "Tell me if it's the truth or not?"

"It-" Jun sighed, "It is. I love you. Don't ask me since when, even I myself don't know."

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Minghao rebuked.

"Because I didn't want to lose you!!" Jun slightly teared up, "Everytime anyone would bring up the topic of us being together, that too jokingly, you were always the first to laught it off. For you it was funny but for me, it was heart breaking. Because each time I used to get a reality check that you don't love me.

And revealing my feelings would've created a rift of awkwardness between us. I didn't want that. I love how you're the most comfortable with me. I didn't want to lose this place in your life."

"So you just assumed everything." Minghao intervened.

"It was obvious!" Jun inhaled a deep breath, "I had always made subtle efforts to know your feelings. But each time, you used to shrug them off so I would end up calling it a joke. What was I supposed to do? I was insecure. I already told you Minghao, you're precious to me.

And between my feelings and your company, I'll always choose you to be my side forever even if you consider us just friends. Your smile matters the most to me, that's it."

"Hyung." Minghao held his shoulders, "Your love is not one sided."

Jun's eyes immediately shot up, "Wait- WHAT?!"

"I love you too!!" Minghao revealed, "You kept hiding your feelings and I was late to realise mine. Please, I'm sorry to hurt you unintentionally and-" Before he could complete, Jun pulled him into his embrace.

You're thelight, you're the night
You're the colour of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much

"You don't even know the amount of happiness you've given me with these three words." Jun breathed out, "I love you, I love you so much, you can't imagine, Minghao. After years of secret admiration, I can't believe I won your heart."

Minghao retorted the hug as he leaned on the older's shoulder, "Calm down hyung!"

"I can't." Jun tightened his embrace, "I'm pretty sure today's is the best day of my entire life."

"Mine too." Minghao hummed.

They broke the hug as they stared at each other with contentment and admiration.

Jun held the younger's cheeks, "May I?"

Minghao nodded with a small smile.

Jun chuckled as he attached their lips together. His hands slipped down to the younger's waist, pulling him closer as their lips moved in unison, diminishing the amount of time they had waited for each other's love. Jun sucked on the younger's lower lip as he pushed his tongue in, while Minghao held his nape, deepening the proximity.

Love me like you do
Love me like you do
Touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

After parting away, their foreheads met.

"You almost gave me a heart attack when you said you were dating Mingyu." Jun breathed out.

"How did you even believe it?" Minghao clutched on the older's arms, "After I said it, I thought I'm screwed."

"My mind was so messed up to think about anything." Jun reasoned, "All I could think of was you drifting away from me and I thought I'll collapse any second."

"Let's go and thank Dino." Minghao chuckled.

"Sure." Jun cupped the younger's cheeks and kissed his forehead, "Thank you so much for putting up with me."

"I should thank you for loving me this much without expecting anything in return."

"That's all love is about."

Yeah I'll let youv set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more
What are you waiting for?

"The kids here, are so adorable." Seungcheol chuckled at Jeonghan after they had spent a couple of hours in the orphanage, playing with the kids.

"Even the kids have started loving you when it's your first time here." Jeonghan grinned.

"Of course, if my personality impressed Yoon Jeonghan, then there must be something really special in it." Seungcheol teased.

"Shut up." Jeonghan playfully rolled his eyes, "Wait a minute." He excused himself as he quickly walked towards a staff member and greeted her.

"Do you have any idea when Aunt Moon is returning?" Jeonghan asked the lady.

"Sorry, what Mr. Yoon?" The lady frowned.

"Aunt Moon?" Jeonghan question.

"You don't know?" The lady muttered, "She was sent to the mental asylum. She-"

"What?" Jeonghan was bewildered.

"Yes." The lady nodded, "We don't know how true it is but we heard that she was doing ille-"

"Enough." Seungcheol came from behind, "Thank you so much Miss, you may leave."

"But Seungcheol-"

"I'll tell you everything." Seungcheol looked at him.

The lady bowed and left.

"Come." Seungcheol guided him to a nearby bench as both of them sat there.

"What is even happening?" Jeonghan scrunched his brows.

"Jeonghan, listen to me, okay?" Seungcheol held his hand, "Aunt Moon's real name is Park Haerin. As you think, she's not a good person. She's- she's the mother of Park Jihye."

"WHAT?"

"Jihye did everything on her command. Haerin was involved in illegal businesses which she used to do in this orphanage before you guys legalised it." Seungcheol explained, "She didn't want you to recall your past for stupid reasons and keep earning money from you for her own greed. After this place was legalised, she had to run away but she left Jihye behind to keep getting money from you."

Of course he didn't reveal that both of them were actually Jeonghan's relatives.

Jeonghan felt extremely betrayed, "What- she- huh?"

"Calm down Jeonghan, I know you used to have a very good impression of her." Seungcheol patted his back, "But just like Jihye, she didn't deserve it either.

We got both of them into a mental asylum where they're repenting for their sins."

"How did you know all this?" Jeonghan looked at him, "How do you know about Jihye and her?"

"After the time you unexpectedly got mobbed, all twelve of us were working together on this." Seungcheol revealed, "We closed that chapter quickly."

"And I didn't know anything?"

"For your health, Jeonghan." Seungcheol stated, "I'm sorry for hiding it from you but it was required."

"You all did so much for me and I didn't even have a clue." Jeonghan looked down, "Me and my health are such a burden for everyone."

"Don't say that." Seungcheol held his shoulders, "Don't ever say that Jeonghan."

"It's the truth."

"It isn't." Seungcheol nodded, "Just imagine for a moment, if anyone among us were not well then would you take us as a bruden?"

Jeonghan looked up at the older, "Never."

"Then? Why would you think like that about yourself." Seungcheol held his cheeks, "We want you fine because we need you in our lives. You're really precious to all of us."

Jeonghan sighed, "I trusted her a lot."

"It's alright Jeonghan, people come and go. It's good that she's not around you anymore." Seungcheol retorted.

Jeonghan just closed his eyes. It was too much for him to take.

Seungcheol gently rested Jeonghan's head on his shoulder while patting his back, "It's okay, I'm here."

"I know, you are." Jeonghan looked up, "I know, everyone is. But you know? My amne- my health, my illness, everything is here too. Even a small problem is a huge one for me. Why? Because of this freaking health.

Do you think I'm blind, Seungcheol? Can't I see how everyone has to be so cautious around me? No one can even joke openly because who knows? One simple harmless word might trigger me. Every person around me has changed something in their lifestyle for me. I'm grateful, I really am. But at the same time, I feel guilty."

"Jeonghan, do you remember how you used to sleep in complete darkness, earlier?" Seungcheol stated, "But now you've adjusted yourself to sleep with the night lamps being on. Why?"

"Because-" Jeonghan halted as he stared at the older.

"Exactly. Because, I can't sleep in complete darkness. You modified your sleeping habits for me." Seungcheol took the younger's hand within his palms, "Look at your daily life too, even you've made a few adjustments for me and for everyone. So what is the problem if we're doing that as well?

I know, people say that you shouldn't change yourself for anyone. But a few small adjustments don't hurt if you love someone. If something triggers you in the wrong way, then we have three options. First, to be cautious, second, to push your limits to a harmful edge and third, to leave you on your own.

If you were at my place and I was at yours, what would have you chosen Jeonghan? Tell me?"

Jeonghan just looked down, being speechless.

"Taking care of you is neither our obligation nor our duty. It's our choice." Seungcheol gently stated, "We chose it because we want you in our lives. Even, we can't imagine our lives without you, Jeonghan. Please don't bring these useless thoughts in your mind."

Jeonghan inhaled a deep breath to calm himself.

Seungcheol decided to uplift his mood, "And anyways, you've such a great topic to focus on, still, why would you think about these ridiculous things?"

"Great topic?" Jeonghan frowned, "What?"

Seungcheol stood up in front of the younger and did a prince bow, "Me. Think about me. Focus on me. Spend your time on me. Only me."

You're the fear, I don't care
'Cause I've never been so high
Follow me through the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life

Jeonghan broke down into a brief laughter, "I swear Seungcheol, I don't even know how you think about these cheesy stuff."

"Because I'm always thinking about you." Seungcheol sat down again, "And it's not cheesy, Mr. Yoon. It's romantic."

"Yeah yeah sure."

"Why?" Seungcheol whined, "Do you think only holding hands, kisses and all are romantic stuff?"

"Then what's your theory of romance, Seungcheol?" Jeonghan chuckled, "Let me know."

"For me, even if we just look at each other with pure admiration in our eyes, then it's romance." Seungcheol smiled, "Whenever your heart skips a beat because I tell you how much you mean to me, it's romance. When we assure each other that we'll always stay together, it's romance."

Jeonghan intertwined his hands with the older, "I'm not very good with these kind of words. I've a very simple meaning of romance in my dictionary."

"What is it?"

"Choi Seungcheol." Jeonghan chuckled, "Nothing more, nothing less."

"If we weren't at a public place right now, I would've kissed you." Seungcheol stated with a small smile.

"Then I'll be waiting for it." Jeonghan nodded.

"Sure."

Love me like you do
Touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

•Serenity Mansion•

Mingyu knocked at Hoshi's door which was open.

"Hmm?" Hoshi looked at him.

Mingyu walked in and carefully closed the door, "Hyung? You did exactly what I feared."

"What?" Hoshi mumbled.

"What did you say to Woozi hyung?" Mingyu asked as he sat beside him.

"I just said I don't want to continue it anymore." Hoshi scoffed.

"In what manner did you say that he even refused to come down for dinner? I saw him leaving your room at that time, he was clearly going to cry and-" Mingyu noticed the older's knuckles which were wounded, "HYUNG?!"

"Leave it."

"Did you punch the wall or something?" Mingyu asked.

"I deserve it." Hoshi looked down, "I didn't want to hurt him, Mingyu, trust me."

"But you eventually did." Mingyu completed his sentence.

Hoshi nodded, feeling miserable, "Did someone take food for him?"

"Jeonghan hyung, I guess?" Mingyu replied, "Hyung, enough is enough. What you're doing right now is wrong."

"I know."

"Then? Why are you saying that he deserves someone better? Have you asked him?" Mingyu held his shoulders, "Do you not want to be with him?"

"I want to, there's no doubt in that." Hoshi sternly stated.

"Then leave the rest on him? Why are you taking his decisions too?" Mingyu stated, "You play your part. He will decide if he wants you in his life or not."

"But-"

"No ifs and buts, you're just hurting him and yourself." Mingyu retorted, "Please talk to him hyung. You love him. He loves you back. I don't think we need to consider anything else. You can give up, surely, but not before trying your best."

Hoshi stared at him for a moment, all speechless.

"Do you have anything that you want to tell him?" Mingyu asked.

Hoshi chuckled bitterly, "A lot. I've to tell him a lot of things."

"Then what are you waiting for?" Mingyu frowned, "You need to act on your decision, leave the rest on him. You love him, tell him that. He should know your true feelings, at least."

"But-"

"See I revealed my feelings to Wonwoo hyung, right? Even I was thinking that our friendship will shatter down if I do so but it didn't, right?" Mingyu held his hands, "In your situation, do you really think that it can go worse than this? No."

Hoshi gulped, "I should- talk."

"Yes!" Mingyu chuckled.
