"Where do we have to go next?" Joshua asked as he and Mingyu stood along with Rose Quartz members at the Iksan airport.

"Kihyun said he'll come to pick us up." Seungcheol looked at his phone trying to call Kihyun.

It was when he felt someone hugging him tightly. He realised it was Kihyun and hence, embraced him lovingly.

"Hyung!" Kihyun sniffled, "I missed you all so much."

"We're sorry Kihyun, we shouldn't have left like that." Seungcheol caressed his back.

Kihyun broke the hug and moved on, "Kyeom hyung!"

"My baby brother, you grew up a lot."

"Jun hyung!!"

"It's so heartwarming to see you!"

And that's how he took his time to embrace Minghao, Woozi, Wonwoo and slowly calmed himself.

Next, he noticed Joshua and Mingyu. He failed to recognise them but was well aware that they were with Seungcheol.

He bowed to them slightly who retorted the gesture.

"He's Yoon Kihyun, Jeonghan's younger brother." Seungcheol introduced, "And he's Hong Jisoo or Joshua and Kim Mingyu. They're Jeonghan's friends, they saved him from the forest."

Kihyun looked at them with innocent eyes. He quickly knelt down on their feet.

Joshua and Mingyu immediately made him stand up, "What are you doing?"

"Thank you!" Kihyun joined his hands, "Thank you so much for saving Jeonghan hyung. I'll forever be grateful to you, I owe you my entire life."

"It's fine, please don't do this." Joshua chuckled.

• Yoon Residence •

When they reached home, Jeonghan's father, Yoon Jaebyeom welcomed them with warm greetings.

Joshua and Mingyu introduced themselves once again after which Jaebyeom preached over how grateful he was that they saved Jeonghan from the forest.

Joshua and Mingyu were being treated like they were some angels and really superior than everyone else.

"Seungcheol-" Joshua nudged him, "Please ask them to treat us normally."

"Yeah Kihyun was still fine but Mr. Yoon is much older than us." Mingyu added, "I feel like I'm being disrespectful."

"It's okay, I'll tell them." Seungcheol assured, "They're really grateful to you. Afterall Jeonghan is their family and you all saved him."

"I know but it's enough, we did what we could." Joshua explained, "It's not that big of a deal."

"You think that it's not a big deal but it is." Seungcheol retorted, "Nevermind."

"Where's mom though?" Wonwoo asked.

"You'll have to come into her room to see her." Kihyun informed, "We haven't told her anything yet."

"In her room?" Woozi raised a brow, "Is everything alright?"

Jaebyeom looked at Kihyun after which he explained, "After you guys left our home that day, she survived a heart attack. But after a week, we got to know that her legs were permanently paralyzed."

"WHAT?!"

"Yes."

"I'm sorry I'm really sorry Dad." Seungcheol embraced Jaebyeom, "We shouldn't have left abruptly. Or even if we did, we should have stayed in touch with you. We're really sorry, we're such bad sons."

"It's okay Seungcheol, we can't change anything that happened in the past." Jaebyeom caressed his back, "Let's go to her room. I have a lot of questions too but I guess it's better to talk together."

"I'll ask someone to bring some refreshments." Kihyun stated.

Everyone went to Jeonghan's mom, Jiah's room who was taken aback to see them after such a long time.

Over that, she couldn't really recognise the two particular males who were new to her.

"Mom!" Seungcheol immediately sat beside her and held her hands while everyone else crowded her too.

"Took you all long enough to recall that you've a mother waiting for you." Jiah wiped her tears.

"Please forgive us mom." Seokmin gulped the lump in his throat.

"We really didn't know how to face you." Vernon muttered.

"It's okay sons, it's good that you're back." Jiah chuckled, "Who are these two gentlemen?"

Joshua and Mingyu bowed as she pointed at them.

"I'm Hong Jisoo, you can call me Joshua. Nice to meet you Mrs. Yoon."

"I'm Kim Mingyu, pleasure to see you ma'am."

"Mom, we need to tell you something. You'll know who they are within it." Jun stated.

Woozi held Seungcheol's shoulders, gesturing him to speak.

"Mom!" Seungcheol held her hands tightly, "Jeonghan is alive."

Jiah stared at him for a good amount of time after which she processed what she had heard, "Wha- WHAT?!"

"Yes mom, he's alive, all good and fine." Wonwoo added.

"They and their friends are the ones who saved him from the forest." Minghao explained.

Jiah looked at her husband who assured her that everything was true.

"Wher- where is he? Jeonghan? Son? Where are you? Come here?" Jiah began to cry, "Your mom is waiting for you. I knew you won't leave me? SON? JEONGHAN?"

"Mom, calm down." Seungcheol embraced her, "Please."

Kihyun handed her a glass of water.

"Sit down everyone, let's talk comfortably." Jaebyeom insisted after which everyone took a seat.

Seungcheol and Joshua explained everything thoroughly to Jeonghan's family.

"So- when will he recall me?" Jiah's lips quivered, "When will he call me mom?"

"They wanted us to go to Busan." Kihyun intervened, "But that's not possible."

"Jiah can't go and I can't leave her alone." Jaebyeom scoffed.

"Kihyun? You'll come right?" Woozi asked.

"Of course!"

"But what about your start-up Kihyun?" Seungcheol asked.

"That's not more important than my hyung." Kihyun muttered.

"No Kihyun, focus on your career. Your employees are dependent on you too." Wonwoo explained, "You can visit later for a few days. We'll try to make everything right-"

"Noo!" Jiah protested, "I'll go as well. Please take me too. PLEASE!"

"But hun-"

"Mom, hear me out." Seungcheol assured Jaebyeom that he'll convince Jiah as he held her hands, "You trust me right? I promise I'll bring Jeonghan to you really soon even if he doesn't recall anything. I promise."

"But why would he come if he doesn't recall anything?" Woozi asked.

"EXACTLY!" Jiah worriedly stated.

"We'll make some excuses, it isn't that hard." Seungcheol nodded, "Mom, please believe me okay? Believe us! We will bring your son back, no matter what. You've waited for six years, a few more months won't hurt."

"I'll be visiting soon." Kihyun sadly muttered. He really wanted to go but he knew that he had the responsibility of a lot of people behind him. And turning them down wasn't something Jeonghan had taught him.

"If you want-" Mingyu stood up, "You can see him on a video call right now."

"How so?" Joshua asked.

"I'll say that they're my relatives, simple as that." Mingyu shrugged, "Remember how lovingly he met Hoshi hyung's aunt?"

"Hoshi?" Jaebyeom asked.

"He's our friend." Joshua answered, "His actual name is Kwon Soonyoung though."

"We can do that, if you promise not to cry." Seokmin asked the family members, "I know it's hard but we can't let him feel suspicious."

"I think it's good to call him after a while." Mingyu suggested, "Everyone will calm down by then."

After that, everyone indulged in talking about Jeonghan. His past fellows recited about his past while the present ones took notes and explained about his current life.

"Okay I'm going to call him now, everyone, remember the skit." Mingyu went out of the room according to their plan.

He made a video call to Jeonghan who picked it up, "Oh hey hyung!"

"Yeah Mingyu, what's up!" Jeonghan chuckled.

"Are you still in the office?"

"Yeah but I was just wrapping up. Where are you all staying tonight though? I called the manager of our hotel in Iksan to make sure you all were fine but he said you didn't check in."

"Yeah I met one of my cousins here so I'm at his home. Uncle and Aunt insisted all of us to stay here when they got to know about our visit."

"Oh that's so sweet of them."

"Do you want to see them? They kinda know you because I brag about my friends a lot."

"Sure, why not?"

"Okay wait a while." Mingyu inhaled a deep breath as he walked towards the room. His heart was beating fast as he was a bit nervous.

"Uncle, Aunt, Kihyun, remember I told you about Jeonghan hyung?" Mingyu asked, "He's on the call, do you want to talk to him?"

"Sure sure!"

Mingyu shifted towards Jiah to show her on the screen. Behind the camera, Seungcheol held her hand tightly to keep her calm.

"Hello ma'am, nice to see you, I'm Yoon Jeonghan, Mingyu's close friend."

"Of course I know son, he has told us about you many times. So many times that it feels like I already know you."

"Oh yeah, Mingyu is like that. He takes pride in the people he cherishes."

"And, he's my uncle." Mingyu turned the camera towards Jaebyeom as Jiah silently cried and the others consoled her.

"Hello sir, pleasure to see you! You're handsome."

"Oh thankyou son, you're such a sweetheart."

"Oh no I just-" Jeonghan chuckled, "Thank you."

"And he's my cousin, Kihyun." Mingyu showed him.

"Hello brother! Nice to meet you!"

Brother. Kihyun felt the ecstatic feeling rush through his veins, "Pleasure to see you too. Can I call you hyung? After all you're Mingyu hyung's close friend."

"Of course, you don't need to hesitate."

"Thankyou hyung."

They had a little conversation after which the call was hung up and everyone released a deep breath.

"So we've already started lying?" Kihyun muttered, "We don't have any other option though."

"We didn't technically lie." Mingyu spoke up, "Jeonghan hyung's parents would definitely be my uncle and aunt. His younger brother is my younger brother. So it makes sense."

It was when Joshua got a call so he excused himself from everyone and he picked it up.

"Yeah Hoshi, what happened?" Joshua asked.

"You were right hyung. Park Jihye is the culprit."

"I knew it."

"The police caught Jihye but-"

"But?"

"They'll not be able to keep him in jail or send him for trials."

"What? Why?"

"You know his drama of being mentally unstable. He's being tested right now, we'll know when the reports come out. The officials said that it wouldn't be good for us to stay there so we came back to the company. Jeonghan hyung doesn't know anything yet. I talked to the inspector and he said he'll probably be released and sent to the rehabilitation centre instead."

"You're managing everything nicely Hoshi! We'll be back soon I guess. And yeah, don't let Jeonghan know about any of this until we come back."

"Hyung's family is coming too?"

"We'll talk about it later, don't worry."

As Joshua joined them back, Seungcheol asked, "What happened? You look tense."

"Jihye?" Mingyu nudged Joshua who nodded.

"I KNEW IT. THAT FUCKER REALLY-" Mingyu stood up. It was when he noticed that everyone was around him, "I'm sorry."

"Now I'm even more worried, what happened guys?" Wonwoo scrunched his brows.

"I think you all should know." Joshua cleared his throat.

"What is it?" Jun asked.

"Uh actually when we took Jeonghan to the hospital last time, his doctor told us that he was being served a specific drug due to which the doctor's medicines weren't working." Joshua explained, "It hindered the effect of the treatment."

"WHAT?!"

"Yes." Mingyu nodded as he explained what Yoongi had told them, "Now, we've found the culprit."

"Who is it?" Seungcheol clenched his jaw.

"Park Jihye." Joshua blurted out, "We met him at the orphanage long ago. And since then, Jeonghan adores him a lot."

"He was declared mentally unstable so Jeonghan hyung was even more sympathetic towards him because he was himself suffering from amnesia." Mingyu explained, "But Jihye was always a brat to us."

"So Jeonghan never called him out for misbehaving with you all?" Wonwoo asked.

"He always did and Jihye would pretend to be sorry." Joshua scoffed, "You know, those double faced bastards. Uh- sorry for swearing sir, ma'am."

"You can call us mom dad." Jiah stated, "All of Jeonghan's friends do so."

"Enough is enough, this Park Jihye has crossed his limits." Mingyu clenched his fists, "He should brace himself now."

"Wait-" Jaebyeom scrunched his brows, "Park Jihye you said? Do you have any pictures of him?"

Jiah and Kihyun looked at him with a knowing look.

"I guess so." Joshua pulled out his phone and scrolled through it. Mingyu did the same, "Oh I found one."

He displayed the picture to everyone and the Yoon family was in utter shock.

"What happened dad?" Vernon asked.

"He's-" Jaebyeom choked on his words, "He's my sister's son."

"WHAT?!!"

Jaebyeom pulled out his phone and found a picture, "This is him with his parents."

"Parents? Sister's son?" Mingyu cocked a brow, "Wasn't he an orphan?"

"Mingyu-" Joshua's eyes were fixated on the picture in horror, "A- Aunt Moon."

"Moon?" Jaebyeom cocked a brow, "She's Park Haerin, my younger sister. She married Park Jaejun that's why her last name is now Park."

"But we used to call her Aunt Moon. We knew it was her pseud but she never told us her real name." Mingyu blurted out.

Rose Quartz team turned towards the duo. What was even going on?

"Wait a minute." Minghao stood up, "This Aunt Moon, who was the owner of that orphanage is Jihye's mother? And Jihye definitely has harmful plans for Jeonghan hyung."

"Which means she isn't a good woman as we all used to think?" Woozi scrunched his brows.

"But Aunt Moon was still there long before Jeonghan's case." Joshua scoffed, "I don't understand what's happening."

"I think there are two possibilities." Seungcheol stated, "Either she's a good person and isn't aware about her son's deeds or she's actually a villainess."

"But again, if she was good, why didn't she tell us that she knew Jeonghan hyung?" Mingyu interjected.

"For money of course." Kihyun scoffed.

"What?"

"After Jeonghan hyung's departure, dad made Jihye a nominee in our property beside me. If Jeonghan hyung would have returned alive, Jihye's rights would have been cancelled immediately because hyung holds the first and foremost rights over it." Kihyun explained, "I see why they didn't tell us and why Jihye drugged hyung so that he won't recall anything."

"We need to meet Aunt Moon too. I wanna know her wrong doings too." Joshua clenched his teeth, "But we've a problem."

"Problem?" Mingyu asked.

"His mental illness." Joshua scoffed as he once again explained everything.

"It's good isn't it?" Vernon stood up, "We can deal with him in our own ways."

"Seungcheol hyung, please don't spare him at any cost." Kihyun fumed with anger.

"Let's hurry up, we need to go back as soon as possible."
