Chapter 2

What happened before:

Back to the situation Brian turned to the other two and asked ''Now what do we have here, the lonely nerdy here has finally found some friends! But are they really her friends? Are you the wimps friends?'

Both of them turned to me and had a frightened and apologizing look on their faces. One of them started to stutter ''eh-ehm no She-she j-just s-s-sat d-down a-and w-w-we didn't think m-much about I-it'' her voice turned smaller at the end. He looked at me with a triumphant mocking sneer. ''Well. No wonder, who would even want to be friends with an ugly disgusting nerd like you?''

I haven't said a word yet and just blankly looked at him. It seemed like Brian didn't like my silence, since he made an angry face and got the water bottle one of them had on their trays and poured it over my head. There were a few gasps in the now silent cafeteria.

Not a second passed before the first laughter's erupted, mainly coming from the part of the popular table, who were bitches or full of plastic. ''Now I think I helped you, didn't I? I gave you a shower. You know something to not be so dirty as you are.'' 

I still haven't even batted an eye and just looked at him blankly.

I stood up and shoved my food over to the other two, while I grabbed my backpack. Without even as much as glancing at Brian, I went to through the cafeteria, to get to the secretary's office. Luckily, most of the water only soaked my beanie, hair, and hoodie. My bandages were not affected. On my way, I passed the bad boy table and saw them looking at me while I passed. I tried to look forward again, but sadly my eyes stayed on them. Luckily, I didn't turn my head to keep looking over, as I already passed them.

At the office, the secretary asked.   ''Good morning Sofia, what happened to you?!''

          ''Well as you can see water was poured on me again when I was about to eat my lunch in the cafeteria. Could you please bring me a towel and give me a hall pass and note, informing Ms. Collins that I would be late for class, since I don't think I will be finished changing within the rest of lunch break?  ''

She answered with  ''Of course, but you know I have to ask like always who did that to you?''

''You know the usual, Sara. Brian came up to me, insulted me, and then poured the water over my head. Nothing out of the ordinary .'' I answered, still with a blank face. She sighed and started to reply          ''You know Sofia, you have to start standing up for yourself! You can't just let him and his goons of friends do that to you! I still don't understand why the director hasn't given him a suspension. Especially with how often he was in the directors office.' '

 I explained ''You know that I don't really mind. As long as it helps them get some of their steam off, I don't really mind. We don't know why he does it, but I am sure he has a reason to, now I'd like the hall pass to come back after changing, to get the notice for Mrs. Collins.''

She sighed with a defeated look.   ''Sure, but I can't understand why'd they only pick on you. You are just too good for the world, you know that? ''  she said with a smile. I didn't reply and lowered my head. I took the towel and went to my locker, to get my back-up hoodie.
