Helena's POV:

I heard a knock. Leana must be here. Thankfully, I didn't have a nightmare. Of course, nightmares don't really appear when I'm taking a nap, but when I'm sleeping a lot.

I open the door. Here she is, a wide smile on her face, her black, wavy hair reaching her chest,  freckles covering her cheeks and nose. She's tall, actually taller than me. I bet she'd make a good basketball player. She's looking fine as hell. She always does.

<<Hel, am I that beautiful that you're staring at me more than you'd stare at V in a week?>> She's teasing me.

<<Ha ha, so funny.>>

She pulls me in for an embrace. It's been some time since we last saw each other. A month, I think.

<<I missed you, Lea.>>

<<Aw, sweet as always. I missed you too.>>

<<Hey, by the way, just so you know, the last stranger told me to stay after the night. We've met more than once.He's pretty good actually. >>

Oh my gosh. Is Leana Wasel in love?!

<<LEA, YOU LOVE A MAN AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME ?>>

<<Oh, c'mon, Hel. I just did. And I don't love him.>>

<<Hey, do you mind if I come in? Because I don't want to stand in the door talking about Jack.>>

Oh, right. I close the door behind me as she enters my apartment.

<<So he's called Jack? Mm, okay, it's a pretty name. How long have you been together? More than 1 day? >>

<<Yeah! I met him two days ago!>>

<<You know Leana, I was starting to believe that I'd never get to see my best friend fall in love, but you did!>>
It was my turn to smirk.

<<I didn't! He's just nicer than others.>>

<<Anyways! What are we going to wear?>>

<<Is that - are you Leana Wasel blushing?>>

I swear it's the first time she's acting like that over a male.

Jack must be really good.

<<No! But seriously Hel, we'll talk about him some other time. What are we going to wear at your boy's performance?>>

<<He's not my boy!>>

Now I'm the one blushing.

<<Not yet. But that's going to change tonight, if we find something good to wear.>>

<<But I don't like any of the clothes I have here.>> I said, ignoring her statement about me and Valenthio.

<<I'm glad, actually! Because now we can go shopping! We have to buy make-up, dresses, condoms.>>

<<Hey! No condoms! Aren't you and Jack together?>>

<<Oh, we are. But I was talking about you and V.>> She winked at me.

<< No way! That's not happening Lea and you know it. Let's go find dresses.>>

<<And makeup.>> She added.

I never really wear make-up, only some blush and eye pencil.

<<Alright.>> It might be fun. Wearing make-up. Sounds exciting. But I have no idea.

<<We also have no time, because we have to be there at 7:40 in order to have enough time to get ready. But I guess we could be a little late, Hel>> she said, smiling.

After about ten minutes of running - yes running because Lea's car isn't working and because I don't have one and because the Uber would be here late enough- we arrived at a good-looking clothing shop. All these dresses must be costing a fortune.

Leana knew the place though. And I realized it when we walked in and an old woman came and hugged her, telling her how beautiful she is and how she had grown up.

I just stood there, awkwardly smiling at her till she hugged me too.

The woman then said,
<<Anything you and your gorgeous friend pick is on me.>>

No, I can't let that happen. I tried to say no but she insisted. Lea told me that woman's like her mother so I shouldn't worry.

A dark blue, long dress caught my eye. It was stunning.

<<That screams, I'm a virgin and I don't go to clubs.>> Leana interrupted my thoughts. She keeps on saying that!

I've only been to a club twice, if I'm being honest and it wasn't fun. The music was terrible. The songs went like
<<That bitch wanna ride me so badly...>> Like- okay.

Is that even called music?

Thankfully, tonight is going to be different because Valenthio will be singing. He's not singing at a club, not like these clubs I've been to. Maybe it's a more normal club? I don't know.
I hope so.

<<Here, take this. >> Lea hands me a white, short dress. All my legs and stomach and back will be bare if I were this. I'll look like shit in this. Plus, it's too daring. I can't wear this! I don't have such a beautiful body. Lea does but I -

<<STOP, HEL. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING. YOU'LL TAKE IT. YOU'LL LOOK PERFECT.>>

<< Alright, alright. Only because it's Valenthio's performance so I can look a bit um-

<<Hele, inappropriate is hot. You're hot so why hide it?>>

Nevermind. This night is supposed to be fun.

<<Fuck it, I'll take it.>> I say.

The dress was pretty after all. I wasn- ok, stop Helena.

<<What have you picked?>> I asked Lea curiously. No matter what she'd wear , she was definitely going to look amazing. Her body was the one every girl dreamed of. She had big thighs, flat stomach, big chest? Okay, that sounds weird. But she was so beautiful.

<<This one!>> She said excitedly.

It was a red dress, even shorter but I mean hell, that did look hot and she'd definitely look good in it.

Both dresses were unique though. They weren't just some short dresses. The designer was good. They had white pearls and things that made them shine. Not that much that you'd stand out in a crowd. But they were shinny enough to make you look like a princess.

They just gave that pretty vibe.

<<What's your name, honey?>>
The old woman asked. She had grey hair , a soft smile on her face but what made her beauty unique was the fact that her eyes weren't exactly blue, they were kind of grey. I've never seen those eyes before.

She wasn't really old. I think she is sixty something.

She looks kind.

<<Helena, how about you?>>

<<Oh, such a pretty name. I'm Elisa but please call me Lis.>>

I was paying attention to her slight make-up that made her look even nicer that I didn't see Leana pick up the phone. Hm, she was smiling a lot. It has to be that Jack. It's such a nice feeling, seeing her fall for a boy. He makes her happy. I hope he won't break her heart because I don't know what I'll do to him if he does.

<<Yeah, it must be Jack. Don't tell her, but I think she's falling for him. I've known jack since he was a little kid, he'd come here with his mother as we were good friends. Me and Elena met some years ago. I think, three? Anyways, I know she's currently working as a cleaner and I want to offer her a job here. I really need someone to take care of this place so I'm planning to tell her on her birthday.>>

Her birthday was on two weeks. I had to prepare a surprise for her. Lis has got her gift ready. I'm sure Lea would be pretty happy to leave that job.

Well, it seems as if I'm right then. They are in love. I hope jack is too I mean, otherwise why would he want to get to know her? Nah, they are.
Lis agrees. She's older. She knows.

<< That's nice of you Lis. I'm sure Lea would be happy. >>

She gave me such a cute smile. I swear older people are so adorable.

<<Thank you, Helena.>>

<<So, you said you know Jack? Lea's boyfriend?>>

<<Yeah, don't worry. He's not an asshole. From the way he talked to me about her yesterday, I do know, he loves her too.>>

I'm so happy.

<<I'm glad to hear that.>> We were now both smiling, watching our friend talk to the man she loved.

<<Leana loves you too. She's told me that you've known her for a long time and she's really thankful that she met you. I think you are making her happy too. >>

I hope so. I do hope. I'm just scared to lose her.

<<We are trying to be there for each other as much as we can because it's important to have someone. Except for your biological family. Because well, she's family.>>

<<Aw, Helena. I'm so happy. It seems like you are a really good friend.>>

I usually feel nervous talking to strangers. I was feeling a bit nervous now too. Wasn't meeting her eyes so much. But her soft smile calmed me down.

Oh! Lea hung up.

<<HEY! Why are you looking at me like that?!>>

Me and Lis were both looking at her smirking like we needed expectations.

<<Oh, we do know you were talking with your love boy.>> Lis said with a knowing look on her face.

<<Lis! You and Helena just met and I'm starting to regret it. It seems like it has affected you a lot.>>

We both burst out laughing.

<<I don't need Helena to know you're in love, darling.>>

<<Whatever. We're late.>> She was trying to seem cold but she was blushing? Yeah, I think so.

Aw, Lea, just aw.

<<C'mon Hel, let's go!>>

<< Okay, Lea don't worry it's not bad actually loving someone.>> I said teasingly.

<<I'll make sure to remind V exactly that.>>

<<Who's V?>> Lis said, smirking even more.

Now we should really go, hehe.

<<It's late! We should go!>>

<<Yep.>> Lea said because she knew that if she'd continue with V, I'd say more about Jack.

Lis hugged as tightly and told us to have a good time.

We thanked her- I still think just thanking her wasn't enough but I'll find a way to repay her some day- and left.

It was 7:50!

We were running as fast as we could so that we wouldn't be thaat late to V's performance.

We arrived. It's 8.
