They head on their way again and they pass a lot of animals. But different to the animals back home, these seem to be all kinds of different animals, running around and having fun. There are bears, wolves, cats, dogs, owls and loads of other animals, you would not expect to see in a forest, definitely not at midday.

Suddenly May spots fox playing in the grass, with another animal, who is hiding in the bushes nearby. He keeps howling, but in a playful way, for the animal to come out of the bushes. After a few attempts of whacking the bush, wolf comes bounding out, taking fox so by surprise that he stumbles backwards and falls over. Wolf then tries to tackle fox, but he is faster and is standing on his feet again.

He sees May and bounds straight towards her, with wolf right at his heels. She is happy to see him and bends down to greet him. She looks up at Sidhean, who also seems really pleased to see wolf. He senses her looking and his eyes gleam down at her. She smiles happily.

Then she looks around to see where Gyles is, only to find him standing a few meters away from them, stroking an owl, who is sitting on a log in front of him.

May gets up and walks towards Gyles, who turns his head when he sees her.

"Is that your...", May is about to ask him.

"My spirit animal, yes", he smiles and turns back towards the owl, stroking it carefully and caringly.

"But then that makes you a Seer", May is confused.

"Yes of course I am. Why do you think that I am helping you? And remember the first time we met, when you just went into my house. Why did you think I didn't chuck you out? Sidhean here was a bit suspicious though, weren't you?" he turns towards Sidhean, who had come to join them.

But before Sidhean can answer, Gyles carries on.

"He realised that there was something about me that wasn't normal, but he just couldn't quite figure it out."

"That explains why your sword shimmered red, when you took it out of the box, back at your house", May realises.

Slowly May starts to understand everything better.

'No wonder he knew about the place we are seeking.'
