May opens the book quickly and carries on reading, while Sidhean listens closely.

Dear May,

If you have made it as far as the other side of the waterfall, then I can no longer help you. You must use your powers and listens to your spirits. Only they know where you can find me and they are only willing to share this information with you, if they know that they can trust you and that you accept them as your new guards for the rest of your life. Getting them to tell you, where I am, could prove as pretty difficult, but remember that force will not get you anywhere and it certainly will not get me back any quicker either. So, trust your spirit animal as well as your spirit guide. Make them your friends, for they will always prove worthy and stay loyal to you no matter when and where.

May closes the book and puts it back into her rucksack. Then she starts walking towards the forest that lies in front of them. Sidhean catches up with her and asks.

"What are you doing? How do you know what way you have to go?"

"You heard what dad wrote. I have to trust my spirit guide and my spirit animal. And as you know, my spirit guide is the wind and right now it's telling me to go this way. It's my only chance of finding dad."

She carries on, Sidhean right at her heals.

"Then I shall trust your spirit guide now too", Sidhean replies.

May turns her head round and sees Sidhean smiling. She smiles back.

They walk for ages through the forest, which seems to be endless. There is no village or town in sight anywhere, not even a little hut with a little old lady lurking outside, asking the people walking by, if they would like to have a rest. But then again, there are not even any people in the forest. All this time Sidhean and May were walking through the forest, no living being walks their way. Slowly it is getting dark and the forest is turning creepier than it was beforehand.

"Where are we?" May calls out.

But the wind gives no reply.

"Please find us a shelter, so we can sleep somewhere tonight", May calls out, hoping that wind will answer.

A wind blows through the air, hitting May with such a surprise that she shivers.

"This way", it whispers to her, "this way."

May follows quickly, with Sidhean close behind. They keep running and running, until wind whispers.

"We are here. Just behind this tree you will be able to take shelter for the night."

They stop and May explains to Sidhean, what wind just told her. They go around the tree and in front of them lies a cave.

They walk towards it.

"This will do for the night", May says and gets a blanket from her rucksack.

She lies down on it and motions for Sidhean to do the same. He does as she asks him to do and May pulls a blanket over both of them.

The night is quiet and peaceful and they soon fall asleep.

That night May dreams of finding her dad. She is in a forest, covered with trees, so high you cannot see the sky anymore. She is surrounded by a bubble of light. Suddenly something brushes against her leg. She looks down to see her spirit animal, fox, right by her side. She can feel the wind brushing through her hair, guiding her forward. Next thing she knows, she is standing on a field, full of wonderful, blossoming flowers. Then nothing.
