We walked around in awe as we looked around the beautiful planet.

"Welcome, everyone, to my world." Ego said.

"Wow. You have your own planet?" Quill asked as we stepped onto a white platform that lifted up and flew.

"Come on. No larger than your Earth's moon?"

Gamora and I lifted our hands to touch the bubbles that flooted  around in the sky. Gamora smiled as I let out a light laugh, smiling as I touched the bubbles, causing Quill to smile.

"Humility. I like it. I, too, am extaordinarily humble." Drax said.

"You own a planet and can destroy two dozen spaceships without a suit. What are you exactly?" Gamora asked.

"I'm what's called a Celestial, sweetheart."

"A Celestial, like a god?" Quill asked.

"Mmm, small 'g' son. At least on the days I'm feeling humble as Drax. I don't know where I came from exactly." Ego spoke as we walked into a room, it started to show pictures on the wall of what he was telling us.

"First thing I remember is flickering...adrift in the cosmos utterly...as drifted entirely alone. Over millions of years....I learned to control the molecules around me. I grew smarter and stronger. And I countined building from there....layer by layer...the very planet you walk on now."

It then showed him sad.

"But I wanted more. I desired...meaning. 'There must be some life out there in the universe. Besides just me.' I thought. And so, I set myself a task of finding it. I created...what I imagined biological life to be like...down to the most minute detail."

"Did you make a penis?" Drax asked suddenly, causing my eyes to widened as I stifled a laugh.

"Dude!" Quill yelled.

"What is wrong with you?" I asked.

"If he is a planet, how could he make a baby with your mother? He would smush her!"

"I don't need to hear how my parents..."

"Why? My father would tell me the story of impregnating my mother every winter solstice."

"That's disgusting."

"It was beautiful. You Earth's have hang-ups."

"Yes, Drax, I got a penis." Ego stated.

"Ha! Thank you!"

"It's not half bad."

"Oh."

I rolled my eyes as the men countined to talk.

"--ugh." Quill said.

"I've also got the pain receptors, and a digestive system...and all the accompanying junk. I wanted to experience what  it truly meant to be human...as I set out among the stars...until I found...what I sought.  Life. I was not alone in the universe after all."

"When did you meet my mother?"

"Not long after. It was with Meredith that I first experienced love. I called her my river lily. And from that love, Peter...you. I have searched for you for so long. And when I heard of a man from Earth...who held an Infinity Stone in his hand without dying....I knew you must be the son of the woman I loved."

"If you loved her,  why did you leave her?" Quill asked.

I sighed as I followed Gamora and we ventured on our own around Ego's home.

"How are you?" Gamora asked.

"I am well, what about you."

"Peachy."

We were silent before I spoke again.

"Do you get a weird feeling from Quill's father?"

"You felt it too?"

"Yes. It was quit strange. We should keep eye on him."

"Okay."

As we were walking we heard talking outside. So we pushed the door open and saw both Drax and Mantis talking.

"What's going on?" Gamora asked.

"This gross lady is my new friend." Drax said.

"I'm learning many things, like I'm a pet and ugly." Mantis said as she smiled.

"You are not ugly! Drax!" I said as I looked over at him.

"What are you talking about? She is hideous."

I sighed as I shook my head.

"Mantis...can you show us where we'll be staying?...why are there no other beings in this planet?" Gamora asked.

"The planet is Ego. A dog would not invite a flea to live on his back." Mantis said.

"And you're not a flea?" Gamora asked.

"I'm a flea with a purpose. I help him sleep."

"What were you about to say to Drax before we walked out?"

"Nothing. Your quarters are this why." Mantis said as she lead us to our rooms.

"What are you doing Quill?" I asked as I walked out onto the balcony.

"Dance with me." He stated.

"I am not going to dance with you."

"This is Sam Cooke...one of the greatest Earth singers of all time." Quill said as the music played. He spun me around and brought me back in. He then spun me out, I held onto his one hand as he spun me back into his arms, placing his hands on my waist as mine weaved their way behind his neck.

"Drax thinks you're not a dancer."

"If you ever tell anyone about this. I will kill you." I threatened.

"When are we gonna do something about this unspoken thing between us?"

"What unspoken thing?" I asked as I tilted my head back.

"This...Cheers, Sam and Diane...a guy and girl on a TV show who dig eachother but never say it because if they do, the ratings would go down sort of thing."

"There is no unspoken thing." I stated.

"Well, it's a catch-22, because if you said it, then it would be spoken...and you would be a liar. So, by not saying it your telling the truth, and admitting that there is."

"No, that's not what I..."

I sighed as I looked back up at him.

"What we should be discussing right now is something about this place. It does not feel right."

"What are you talking about? You're the one who wanted me to come here!" Quill said as I he pulled away.

"That girl Mantis...she is afraid of something." I said as I looked him I the eyes, only to see that he was hurt.

"Why are you trying to take this away from me?"

"I am not trying..."

"He's my father. My blood."

"You have blood on Earth and you never wanted to return there." I pointed out.

"Again, you made me come here!" He yelled, causing me to flinch a bit.

"And Earth is the place where my mother died in front of me."

"No, it is because that place was real, and this is a fantasy."

"This is real! I'm only half human, remember?"

"That's the half I am worried about." I whispered as I looked down.

"Oh, I get it. You're jelous because I'm part-god, and you like when I'm the weak one."

I frowned as I rubbed my face and rolled my eyes.

"You were insufferable to begin with. I haven't been able to reach Rocket. I am going to go outside with Gamora, and I'm going to try to get a signal." I said.

"You know what? This is not Cheers after all! This is whatever the show is where one person is willing to open themselves up to new possibilities, and the other person is a jerk who doesn't trust anybody! I finally found my family. Don't you understand that?" Quill said as my eyes widened a bit. I sighed as I shook my head and frowned looking up at Quill, who had a scowl on his face.

"I thought you already had " I said before walking out of the door and began to search for Gamora.

Damn you Quill.
