If the gang looked at the field, they would've seen Wilt, finishing hay basketball where they came out as perfect rectangles.

"Phew! What a workout!" Wilt commented, wiping his brow, then asked the farmer, "What do you think? Is this okay?"

The farmer, from his rocking chair while smoking a pipe, looked at the field full of perfect rectangles of hay.

"Yup, that there's right purty, I'd say. I'm mighty thankful," the farmer told him.

"Oh, there's no need to--" Wilt started to insist.

"No, no, I insist. 'Specially considerin' you missed your train," the farmer pointed out.

Wilt frowned a bit at the news, but the farmer took him into the barn to show him a lawnmower.

"Now, she ain't new and she ain't fast, but she'll get you where you're goin'," the farmer explained.

Wilt took off on it and waved to the farmer, who returned it. All night and a lot of the day, Wilt rode on the slow lawnmower until he ended up in a small nice neighborhood. He then took notice to some houses with overgrown lawns, making him back up.

"Those folks must be awfully busy to let their lawn grow like that," Wilt commented.

He then went and mowed the lawn for the family who lived there.

"There! That's better. Now, if I can just get back to the road, I can still make it on..." he started, saw more overgrown lawns, then finished sadly, "...time."

He then went at it mowing more and more lawns when he looked and stopped at one house where some kids were playing basketball, making him think of the time he had with his creator.

Back then, he had his left arm and his left eye was working just fine. He and his kid were playing basketball, his kid struggling a bit, but after some pointers, he got better at it. Then when it came to a two-on-two, they dominated the competition, becoming the heroes of the neighborhood.

Back in the present, Wilt frowned sadly and continued on his way. He still felt he let his kid down from that time, but he also felt he let Jamie down with what he said before he left. This was really weighing on him, so he needed to do both of these as soon as possible.
