ten days later. ten days ago hoseok's heart broke. ten days ago yoongi had to leave his family behind. ten days ago, taehyung stayed in his room and barely ate. ten days ago, the foster care facility changed.

hoseok got discharged from the hospital and went home with his foster mother. "mama," hoseok called.

"yes?"

"don't foster anyone else."

"why not? you know it's my job."

"i don't want my heart to break again."

"hoseokie, don't be sad. you can visit yoongi some day, who knows," the mother tried to reason. hoseok starred out the window of the car and all he could think about was his older brother and how much he missed him. "when can i see him?"

"when we can. please understand, hoseokie," the mother was sad now. she felt tears but sucked it up. not now, miss. "his new family aren't that mean, y'know?"

"but it's not the same. mama, my heart hurts," hoseok clutched his chest in slight pain.

"it's going to happen quite a lot, honey," the mother used her hand to show hoseok a demonstration, "use your hand and rub your chest area. take big breaths through your nose and try to relax, okay?" hoseok only nodded.

the two reached home. they got out and began to walk inside the building.

hoseok dug in his pocket and took out yoongi's donald duck figure that he gave him. he smiled and put the duck next to his own action figures of mickey. he was willing to change his streak of mickey only for his older brother. only him.

in a different room, yoongi lied on his bed. he looked at the multiple boxes in his room and sighed in exhaustion. he didn't want to get up and do work so stayed on his bed. yoongi reached into his pocket and took out a small mickey figure that hoseok gave him on the first day of meeting. yoongi smiled at the memory. his thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, yoongi sat up and opened the door for whoever it was.

it was a boy that looked much older than him. yoongi was confused as to what he was doing knocking on his door, "yeah?"

"i'm your older brother, kim seokjin. it's nice to meet you," seokjin smiled and bowed, he had specs on and he seemed to be respectful. yoongi has barely seen him until then so he was still a bit confused.

"i didn't see you here when i came in? how old are you?' yoongi asked.

"i'm seventeen years old and i wasn't here because i had to stay after class to finish a big test, sorry," seokjin smiled nervously. yoongi then turned his frown upside down and smiled at the older. seokjin's nervousness left and he laughed at his own awkwardness. yoongi looked down at his hand and realised he still held the figure. he felt his emotions going down once again.

"what's wrong?" seokjin asked, genuinely concerned.

"it's nothing, just past problems," yoongi was about to close his door when seokjin stopped him.

"you're my little brother now and i have to take care of you," seokjin entered the room without permission and sat down on the bed. he waited for yoongi to sit next to him so he help him with his problems. yoongi gave up and sat next to his new brother.

"i used to have a little brother too. he was so precious and i loved him so much. i wanted to protect him from all those kids that were making fun of him but i couldn't help him a lot. it turns out that he has a disease where his heart doesn't pump blood well so he doesn't have much time left. i just miss him so much," yoongi started crying. seokjin rubbed the boy's back in circles and waited for yoongi to stop talking.

"i'm sorry about that. it must be really hard to lose someone you've spent so much time with. i went through that as well. i was adopted by this family but before i spent all my time with the driver that probably drove you to the facility. he was just so nice to me that i wanted him to be my father so we would never be separated but it just didn't turn out like that. my dad and mom now adopted me and i had to say goodbye to him. it was hard and heart breaking but there was nothing i could do. that was nine years ago," seokjin smiled as he remembered the good times. he no longer felt sadness because it was so long ago.

"it gets better, yoongi. trust me," seokjin smiled and got off the bed and headed to the door frame. "i have to go study for my finals next week, goodbye, yoongi," seokjin waved and left the room without letting yoongi say something,

it was going to get better. it has to get better or yoongi might not make it out alive.
