yoongi was assigned a room with two other roommates for awhile before he's placed in a foster family. he sat on his own bed and waited for the others to enter their own bed so he could turn the lights off. the other two, a male and female, slowly entered the bedroom with a tired look on their face. their faces soon lit up once they saw yoongi on his bed.
"you're the new kid! welcome!" the male cheered and went up to the nine year old to hug him. yoongi didn't hug back because he felt uncomfortable. the female soon pushed the male off of yoongi and scolded him for being disrespectful. "what did i tell you about being rude? you can't immediately hug someone without consent! aish, i can't with you anymore," the female rubbed her forehead with her palms and headed to her bed without acknowledging yoongi's existence.
"anyway, my name is jong-seok! nice to meet you," the male held his hand out. he looked about ten. the female turned her frown upside down and smiled at the nine year old. "my name is jung-sook, sorry for not introducing myself earlier," she looked around fifteen.
"i heard that you'll be staying here for a couple of days before you head out to a foster family. i can't handle being in a house full of little demons. Especially if it's just one mother. it's impossible to tame those little people with just two hands! anyway, other than that, it's fine. me and my brother decided to stay here because this place has a lot more space," jungsook said. she brushed her hair in front of the large mirror to get ready for bed. yoongi was listening closely.
"we got seperated for about a week because the system messed up. i was sent to a foster family and jongseok was sent here. i had to live with these two brothers, they were hoseok and taehyung. they were nice, except hoseok. he was actually a brat to be honest. glad i got out of there," she laughed while putting down her brush and tying her hair in a soft low ponytail.
"how bad was he?" yoongi softly asked.
"he was rude. he once hurt taehyung because he didn't give him his favorite crayon. i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get adopted."
"i heard that he still isn't adopted! it's been eight years and he's still not in a family. people don't want him, even as a baby, people ignored him," jongseok spoke from the darkness of his bed. jungsook laughed quietly, "maybe he'll learn then."
"why are you guys so mean to him?" yoongi softly said. jungsook smiled at his innocence, "don't even try to protect him, yoongi. he was brought here one time and he had a breakdown because the kids didn't want to play with him. he made himself an embarrassing scene and therefore the kids ignored him even more. if he was more normal, he probably, just maybe, might have a friend or two. he's hard to please, yoongi."
"you're making him seem like a bad guy. i bet you guys just don't like him," yoongi protected the stranger. "of course we don't like him! he's weird!" jongseok replied.
"maybe he'll be here tomorrow. i'm not sure though, he always tries to hide with his foster-- maybe his forever mother because he won't be adopted," jungsook laugh, "all the kids don't care if he's there, in fact the kids try to be far away."
"anyway, it's late. let's go to sleep," jungsook turned the lights off and yoongi lied down on his bed. he starred at the wall and wondered how this 'hoseok' kid truly was. he just didn't believe any of those bad words.
