"yoongi, be careful," jungsook said as yoongi went back in the bedroom to get what he needed before moving out. she actually seemed worried.

"yeah yeah. goodbye," yoongi waved at the female but she stopped him. she hugged him one last time.

"be happy. don't worry, you'll find a home with people that actually love you. i just know that," she smiled deeply at the smaller boy. yoongi only looked up, "i wish you could say the same to hoseok," and left the bedroom.

yoongi's gummy smile appeared once he saw hoseok in the lobby, waiting for him. he was ready to go home. he was talking to jimin and jeongguk so yoongi wasn't worried about other kids hurting the boy.

"i'm ready!"

"yay! let's go, mama!" hoseok pulled at his mother's sleeve. she quickly got up from her seat and took her keys out. hoseok bid his goodbye to jimin and jeongguk and left the building.

"i'm so happy!" hoseok jumped as he was walking to the car. taehyung and his mother was walking behind him as yoongi was beside him.

the group got in the car and the mother started driving to the house. yoongi looked out the window to clear his mind. his life was changing so much, he couldn't handle it so well. he wanted to cry but he was happy as well. he didn't know what to feel and it frustrated him.

"yoongi, what's wrong?" hoseok's small voice was heard and yoongi turned his neck to face the boy. yoongi faked his smile, "i'm fine."

"hoseok, can i ask some questions?"

"sure! i love questions!"

yoongi didn't really know what to ask. he just wanted to know everything.

"h-how are you not adopted yet? you've been up for adoption for eight years and no ones claimed you yet?"

hoseok stayed silent. he didn't know how to answer that. his smile disappeared and instead it was replaced with a thin line. he was actually thinking of what to say.

"maybe i'm not cute enough?" hoseok questioned but joking. he laughed it out but yoongi wasn't laughing.

"you're really cute hobi. i don't know how no one wouldn't want such a beauty like you," yoongi complimented. hoseok just blushed at the sweet words.

the car came to a stop and the kids looked out the window to see their new home. hoseok opened the car door to let himself out and hopped down to the concrete floor.

hoseok went around the car to help yoongi get out of the car but his mother already did that for him. "mommy! i wanted to do that!" hoseok pouted, his mother only smiled at his cuteness.

the four walked down the driveway and there it was. the house that yoongi was going to stay for who knows how long. it could be weeks, months, or even years.

yoongi didn't care though. as long as he's with hoseok, he's fine.

yoongi still didn't know why he cared about the young one. he didn't know why he wanted to protect him. after hearing those words, he just wanted to wrap the boy in lots of blankets and give him lots of sweets to spoil him.

"let's go to my room!" hoseok intertwined his fingers with yoongi's and dragged him to his room.

the two entered the small room and all hoseok could see are the pictures of mickey. there were posters and figures of the mouse. his bed had blankets with mickey's face on it. yoongi looked at everything with large eyes.

"you like mickey?" yoongi asked while still looking around.

"yup! he's just so cute~" hoseok grabbed a small mickey action figure and handed it to yoongi. their small fingers touched for a moment before departing. yoongi looked at the figure, he admired every little detail of it before looking at hoseok again.

"mama said that she's planning a surprise for me so i should decorate my own room," he explained. hoseok went over to a window in his room and starred at something outside. yoongi grew curious and went be side him to see what was happening. there was a large tree with multiple leaves on it. some leafs were on the yard floor but most were still alive on the tree.

"she says that before all those leaves fall, she will give me my gift. she hopes it works out or the tree will be ugly," hoseok smiled. "yoongi, you won't ever leave me, promise right?"

yoongi was shocked at the boy's question. he didn't know with what to answer with. he didn't want to leave the boy but he didn't know the true meaning of promise. he didn't want to break something that he wasn't committed to in the first place. "i won't leave you."

hoseok hugged yoongi with his answer. the hug was tight and warm, safety and secureness was there with them and it made yoongi feel some type of way. it wasn't love, but brotherly love. he felt as if he was home already.

"come down, kids! dinner is ready!"

hoseok got a hold of yoongi's hand and smiled warmly at him. the two walked to the kitchen to have their meal.
