"yoongi honey, come here please," the mother called. she was in the kitchen door frame, waiting for yoongi to go in with her.

yoongi got off the floor and dusted off the dirt of his clothes before bidding hoseok a goodbye. he ran to his mother with a cheeky grin on his face. he entered the kitchen and sat down on his own chair. the mother sat down on her chair which was on the other side of the table.

"yoongi, so i am your foster mother, you know that right? hoseok, taehyung, and you are awaiting for a mother to take of all or you," she spoke first. "i just want to tell you that just in case that you get a mother or father willing to take you in and not the others that you don't get broken hearted."

"the case with hoseok is that he's not very good in health. he has problems with his heart that he can't do much activity. he needs to stay inside and if he goes outside, he can't be running or doing any activity that requires him to run around," she watched for any confusing expression on yoongi's face. "that's the reason for all those breakdowns. he can't play with other kids his age and he gets sad. he doesn't socialize and kids his age needs to play with others in order to get a good life in the future."

"kids don't want to play with him because he's 'boring.' i just want you to know that before you and hoseok do something that could hurt hoseok. i'm sorry for telling you so much so early but it's better safe than sorry, right," the mother smiled. she looked at yoongi who no longer had a smile on his face.

"i-is he gonna die?"

"no no no, he won't die!" the mother laughed, "but he could get really hurt. so be careful with him, okay?"

yoongi nodded his head and slowly hopped off his seat. he left the kitchen to play with hoseok again. hoseok was playing his blocks and giggled while playing with his mickey figures. yoongi completely forgot what he heard and ran to play with hoseok again.

"what did she say?" hoseok asked. yoongi looked up and frowned.

"she said how amazing you are with these blocks! she said that you can make buildings this high!" yoongi put his hand up as high to show how big the building can get. hoseok laughed and quickly grabbed a lot of blocks and started building a tower with the same height. the mother smiled at their innocence from afar. she felt like crying but she just couldn't in front of the kids.

the night sky was coming soon and the kids really wanted to go out for dinner. they were tired of their mother's homemade food. the mother agreed happily and got her keys and wallet. the four entered the car, with taehyung on the passenger seat. yoongi and hoseok sat together on the seats behind the front seats. the mother put some music on from the radio to get rid of the silence.

now promise me

multiple times in a day

even if you feel like you're all alone

don't throw yourself away

stop for moment here

putting out the pinky finger

now promise me

yoongi felt a heavy weight on his shoulder and looked over and there he was. the smaller boy's head on his shoulder as his sleep started kicking in. it was too early to be sleepy so yoongi started worrying, he shook hoseok awake and regretted it when hoseok woke up with tired eyes.

"oh, hobi you scared me!" yoongi whined.

"why?"

"n-nothing. just don't do that unless i say so," yoongi petted hoseok's hair to relax him again. hoseok kept his head off yoongi from that night. he never did again.

"remember kids, you will all get the same amount of food from my plate so don't look in the menu, okay?" the mother announce before exiting the car. everyone agreed and got out as well.

inside the restaurant, the mother told the kids to take their seats and she took her own. she got one menu and looked it over with all the kids. she wanted to get something that the kids wanted to eat and she would agree with it. she could never make her children eat something they didn't like except their vegetables.

the four agreed on bulgogi, a dish that hoseok loved very much. all yoongi and taehyung cared for was for hoseok to be happy. when the food appeared, the mother split the food in four but she gave the kids a little more than herself so they wouldn't starve during the night.

it took them about thirty minutes to eat all their food and off they went to the car to head home again. the car ride was silent. it was around 9pm so the kids were tired. the mother didn't turn on the radio so the kids didn't have a hard time taking a nap. as much as she didn't want to wake them up, she had to because she didn't want to leave some behind while she brought one in at a time. she didn't want to risk getting some of them kidnapped while she left for a couple of minutes.

yoongi woke up and brought hoseok inside the house. he wasn't strong enough to bring hoseok in while carrying him so he woke up hoseok as well. the mother carried taehyung inside the house but she didn't leave the two behind.

once the four entered the house, the mother locker her car and put the kids to sleep. she couldn't believe she took care of little kids like the three. she couldn't be more blessed, she was grateful for everything that was given to her but...they weren't her kids.
