Chapter 1 - Return to Hogwarts
"This feels weird, not having the kids around." Parker sighed as the Herd sat in the coffee shop.
"Nice to see you too." Phoenix nodded.
"Other than you, Pheo." Parker assured her, handing her a hot chocolate.
"Thanks." Phoenix took her drink.
Parker nodded and sat back with her coffee.
"We should've done this a while ago." Harry sighed.
"What? Send the kids off?" Ron chuckled.
"No." Harry nudged him,"Get together like this."
"We should do it more often now." Hermione nodded.
"We'll see." Erica chuckled, knowing how her schedule kind of ruined things.
"So, how have things been with the dragons?" Ron turned to his sister.
"Uh, hot?" Erin answered,"But quite fun."
"You need to wear protection." He sighed, "Look at your scars."
Erica looked at her arms,"Fair enough."
"Oh! Guess what." Parker pointed.
"What have you done?" Erica asked.
"I didn't do anything." She shrugged.
"That's strange." Draco pointed out,"What is it, then?"
"I got promoted." Parker informed them.
"Aw, I'm so proud of you." Erica smiled.
"Better than you." Parker nudged her cousin.
"Oh, ha ha." Draco rolled his eyes.
"What are you working as again, hm?" Parker hummed.
"I'm working in Magical Law Enforcement." Draco told her.
"Mhm. Have fun with that Dray." Parker nodded.
"He's the Wizard Cops!" Erica spoke up.
"Wizard Cops?" Harry laughed.
"That's him, he's the Wizard Cops." Erica nodded.
"I like that better than Law Enforcement." Hermione chuckled.
"I suppose." Draco sighed.
"So, what are we gonna do? God, what did our parents do when we were away?" Ron shuddered.
"I mean, Dad and Amos hung out a bunch." Erica shrugged.
"I miss Amos, he's been in the nunnery for a while now." Hermione sighed.
"If I'm honest, I don't really." Erica shook her head.
"Weren't you close with him?" Harry turned to her.
"I was close with Cedric, I never really spoke with Amos." Erica told them.
Harry nodded slowly, remembering Cedric.
"I tried reaching out a few times but he never got back to me." Erica sighed,"I don't think he likes me very much."
"Who wouldn't like you?" Draco chuckled.
"Quite a lot of people." Erin nodded.
"I didn't, at first." Draco shrugged.
"Let's see." Erin sighed,"Max, Hannah..."
"We don't like them." Parker shook her head.
"You better not." Erin nodded
"Max's kid is the same age as our kids now, right?" Harry turned.
Erica was quiet for a few moments.
"He might not be the same, mum." Phoenix told her.
"If his kid is the same, that's one little boy against seven kids." Parker shrugged.
"I'll kick his ass, watch me." Erica took a sip of her drink.
"You can't kick a child, Er." Hermione sighed.
"Can so." Erica crossed her arms.
"Can not." Hermione pointed, "I'm Minister, I make rules."
Erica sighed and shook her head,"Fine."
"Good." Hermione hummed.
"How are things with you?" Erica turned to Astoria.
"We're getting there." Astoria sighed.
"That's good." Erica nodded.
"Yeah, we've been going to appointments. Getting better each day." Draco smiled.
"I'm glad." Erica sighed.
Draco hummed and squeezed his wife's hand.
"Now I feel single." Erica sighed.
"Single club." Parker held up her hand.
"That's us." Erica nodded.
"You guys are missing out." Ron shrugged.
"Oh, ha ha." Erica rolled her eyes.
"It's not like they don't have their crushes." Hermione shrugged.
"Hermione, be shush." Erica pointed.
"Thats girl talk." Parker glared.
"Not for the boys." Erica added.
"You act like I don't know any of this." Phoenix rolled her eyes.
"Pheo, you're apart of the girl talk." Parker hummed.
"I've heard it all." Phoenix nudged Draco.
"I'll pay you." Draco whispered.
"How much?" Phoenix raised a brow.
"Don't even think about it." Erica warned her.
"Come on, kiddo." Draco hummed.
"Draco, I'm serious. If you don't shut your f-" Erica stood up before being pulled back down.
"Okay, no spilling secrets, no giving children money." Parker pointed, holding Erica down.
"Of course, I would never." Phoenix spoke, a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"I know what you've done, Matteo told me." Parker tilted her head.
"Likewise." Phoenix nodded.
"Wh- What has Matteo told you?" She blinked.
"Can't tell you that, I'm sworn to secrecy." Phoenix shrugged.
"Oh, you little-" Parker began.
"Right, that's enough." Hermione sighed.
"Draco started it." Parker pointed.
"Did not." Draco crossed his arms.
"Did so." Parker copied him.
"Did not." Draco shook his head.
"I am done with this situation." Phoenix went to tip over Draco's drink.
"Ay." Hermione pointed.
Phoenix looked blankly at Hermione before smirking slightly. That's when she tipped over the glass.
"Phoenix." Hermione jumped up as the water split.
"What?" Phoenix looked at her.
Hermione sighed and gave her a look before she began to clean it.
"Sorry, Uncle Dray." Phoenix sighed,"I needed to."
"Dont apologise to me ,kiddo." Draco nodded to Hermione.
"Okay, sorry." She nodded slowly
Hermione nodded, "Well, it's time for us to head."
"Yeah, we've got to start packing." Erica sighed.
"Where are you going?" Harry asked.
"Where do you think, genius?" Erica asked Harry.
"Well, I don't know. Why do you think I asked?" He rolled his eyes.
"Romania." Erica sighed.
"Oh- Right." Harry nodded.
Erica chuckled and stood up,"Come on."
**
"I don't like this." Trixie looked out the window of the train.
"It'll be fine, honest." Cedar assured her.
"The evil ghost of Voldemort will get you." Matteo smirked at Trixie.
"Oh, shut up, you." Cedar nudged him.
"What? It's true!" Matteo defended.
"No, it's not." Truxie crossed her arms.
"Theo, stop teasing her." Cedar crossed her arms as well.
"I'm not teasing her." Matteo shrugged.
"You are." Cedar stated as the train stopped.
"Are we here?" Trixie looked up.
"I think so." Cedar nodded.
Trixie jumped up and ran out the carriage. Cedar chuckled and followed after her.
"Y'know, she'll believe it if you let her." Matteo shrugged to Cedar.
"That's why I'm not telling her." Cedar nudged him.
"Hi boys, and Rose." Trixie walked up to them.
"Hey, Trixie." Scorpius waved.
"Is there really a ghost of Voldemort in here?" Trixie looked at James.
"What?" James raised a brow as Cedar quickly shook her head.
James took the hint and shook his head slowly, "No, Trix. There isn't. Don't worry."
Cedar let out a small sigh as they all started walking out of the train.
"What house do you think you'll get?" Albus turned to Cedar.
"I don't know." Cedar shrugged.
"What do you hope for?" Albus questioned her.
"Maybe Gryffindor, that seems fun." Cedar nodded slowly.
"Same." Albus hummed.
"Isn't that nice?" James ruffled his brothers hair.
"Shut up." Albus pushed him off.
"It's nice seeing you two getting along." Cedar smirked.
"I want to be in it because of dad, not you." Albus rolled his eyes.
"I feel so insulted." James rolled his eyes as well, copying Albus.
"Piss off." Albus continued walking.
"No." James teased and kept going after him.
"I swear to go-" Albus started.
"Boys." Rose warned.
"OoO, you're in trouble~" Cedar hummed.
"No fighting. Mum said I had to keep you two in line." Rose pointed.
"Ha!" Cedar laughed.
"Ay, you too." Rose pointed to her.
"I always behave." Cedar rolled her eyes as they joined up with other students.
"Sometimes." Matteo shrugged.
"Shush." Cedar nudged him as an old woman stepped forward.
"Welcome, students! Returning and new." McGonagall nodded, "Can all first years make their way to the Great Hall please?"
"That's us." Cedar began moving with the others.
"I'll see you all in there." James nodded before he quickly sped off.
The six of them made there way into the Great Hall, following the crowd of first years. McGonagall then began the big speech, the same as every year. Who was first to go forward? None other than the lovely Miss Rose Granger-Weasley herself.
"On you go." Cedar smiled and nudged her forward.
"Oh, yay." Rose hummed and walked forward, sitting down.
"Hm, I recognize one like you." The Sorting Hat spoke,"Better be... Gryffindor!"
Rose smiled and quickly got up, running over to the Gryffindor table. Next up was Scorpius. Scorpius was hesitant. Everyone... Wasn't the kindest to him due to his father but he walked up to the chair and sat down. Cedar and Albus gave him a reassuring smile as the hat was placed on his head.
"Hm, where to put you... What about... Slytherin!" The Sorting Hat shouted.
All the children smiled and clapped, although even some Slytherins weren't too happy. The next name called was Cedar.
"You'll do great." Albus whispered to her.
"I know." Cedar winked as she stepped forward and sat down.
"Hm...I see the bravery in this one. Has to be... Gryffindor!" The Sorting Hat announced.
Cedar smiled and hurried to join Rose as the next name was called. Matteo.
Matteo nodded and stepped forward quite confidently, he knew how this was going to go.
"Oh, I can just smell the blood off of you, boy... I know where you'll go. Slytherin!" The Sorting Hat shouted.
Matteo smirked and walked to the Slytherin table as Trixie's name was called.
"Who- Oh it's me." Trixie laughed and walked forward, sitting down on the chair with a hum.
"Interesting, very interesting." The Sorting Hat began,"You're difficult, you know. Maybe I'll put you in... Hufflepuff!"
"Hufflepuff?" Trixie smiled.
"Hufflepuff?" Matteo gasped.
"Hufflepuff!" Cedar clapped for her as the final name if their group was called.
Albus. Albus looked around before he slowly sat down on the chair.
"Ah, I see. You're quite a unique case, indeed... I see no better place than Slytherin!" The Sorting Hat spoke.
That's when the whispers began, everyone looking at each other.
"I'm proud of you, Albus!" Cedar called to him, though she seemed to be one of not many.
Albus smiled quickly and walked over, sitting next to his friends.
"That's... Unexpected." Scorpius nodded slowly.
"James doesn't look too happy." Matteo nodded to James who was sat next to Cedar.
"Who cares what he thinks?" Cedar crossed her arms after she got up and sat down with them.
"Well, one more cousin in the family." Matteo ruffled Albus' hair.
Albus was sat in silence.
"Al." Matteo looked at him.
"Hm?" Albus looked up at him slowly.
"Are you alright?" Scorpius raised a brow.
"I'm fine." Albus sighed.
"Better be. Don't want you upset." Scorpius pointed as food showed up.
"I won't let him be upset." Cedar told him.
"Good." He nodded.
"I, for one, don't care what house anyone's in." Cedar stated.
"I don't think any of us do." Rose shrugged as she walked over with Trixie.
"You're still my cousin." Cedar nodded
"We changed houses from our families." Trixie hummed as she sat next to Albus.
"Mhm." Albus nodded slowly.
"You look good in green." Trixie shrugged.
"Thanks, I guess." Albus sighed.
**
"I got an owl from McGonagall." Parker walked into Hermione's office.
"Ah, I was expecting that." Hermione smiled and stood up.
"Did you get yours?" Parker raised a brow.
"Right here." Hermione held it up.
"I'm so proud of Rose." She hummed.
'What are we proud of?" Ron asked as he and Harry walked in.
"Did you two not get the bloody letters?" Hermione sighed.
"What letters?" Ron questioned.
"The kids letters to tell what house they're in." Parker rolled her eyes.
"Dumbass." Erica added.
Parker jumped and looked around.
"Look down." Erica sighed.
Parker looked down at the fireplace, "Oh, hi Erica."
"Nice to see you too." Erica nodded.
"What- Give me the letter." Ron took Hermiones letter.
"How's Romania?" Parker raised a brow.
"As usual, Keith won't leave me alone." Erica sighed.
"The dragon? Or the human one?" Parker chuckled.
"The human one." Erica told her.
"What is he doing?" Hermione walked over.
"He's trying to seduce me." Erica rolled her eyes.
"How?" Hermione tilted her head.
"Believe me, he's tried everything in the book." Erica sighed.
"Oh." Harry nodded slowly before his eyes widened, "Oh?"
"Don't give me that look, Potter." Erica warned him,"Now, let's talk about these letters."
"Albus got sorted into Slytherin?" Draco stormed into the room.
"Having a nice day, Dray?" Erica raised a brow.
"You read the letter yet?" He pointed.
"Yeah?" Erica nodded slowly,"And?"
"Cedar is in Gryffindor. Albus is in Slytherin and little Trixie is in Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff!" Draco pointed at Parker.
Draco and Erica had bet on what house Trixie was gonna be in.
"You owe me~" Erica giggled.
"How much?" He sighed.
"Only five galleons, I didn't bet that much." Erica shrugged.
"You betted on what house Trix was gonna be in?" Parker turned to them.
"Mhm." Erica nodded.
Parker sighed and held the bridge of her nose.
"What? It's harmless" Erica told her.
"Wait- Albus isn't in Gryffindor?" Ron blinked.
"Nah." Erica shook her head,"Little Al is in Slytherin."
"That's... Different." Ron nodded slowly.
"I like it." Erica nodded.
"So, how are we all feeling about the kids houses?" Parker crossed her arms.
"I'm so proud of all of them!" Erica smiled.
