“Hey Luce,”

She looked up and saw her best friend towering over her small crumpled figure against the tree. He playfully gave her a smirk and sat down beside her, picking up a fallen flower and twirling it between his fingers.

“I heard that you’re leaving..”

She looked away and hugged her knees, eyes desperately looking for something to look-- everywhere but his eyes. Resting her head on the trunk of the rainbow sakura tree, she tried so hard to blink away the tears.

“...Today.”

She didn’t say a word but thank the heavens, he kept going. She don’t want to explain it to him while sobbing. She’ll look pathetic.

Feeling a sudden weight on her shoulder, she gently turned her head to find our that he had nestled his head on her neck with his eyes fluttered closed, “While I was bored one day, I saw this quote on pinterest: ‘One day you’ll just be a memory to some people.” He slowly opened his eyes and caught her staring. With embarassment printed in her cheeks, she looked away while he grinned to himself.

She felt him lift his head and suddenly grab her chin with his long fingers. She had no choice but to look at him now, the warmth on her cheeks increasing.

“So... You have to be a good one.”

He tucked a stray of her golden locks together with the flower on her ear as his onyx eyes silently bored holes into her soul. She keeps returning his gaze in return, the same intensity. This staring competition went on and on until he unconsiously started leaning forward. Lucy, on the other hand, had registered what's about to happen and suddenly freaked out. It was clear she was panicking.

Should I kiss him or not? Should I kiss him or not? Should I kiss him or not? Should I kiss him or not?

Just as she was about to push him away, anxiety seeping inside her mind, their lips were already--

He suddenly bolts up from his bed. Aggresively, the salmon-haired punk panted. What in the world is that?! He tugs on his salmon pink hair and flops back down. Covering his eyes with his bare arm, his heart continued to race. Of all the possible dreams his brain could create and manipulate, it just had to be that... event.

He groans, feeling the warmth of his cheeks increase. He jumps from the bed with wide eyes when he heard someone knock on the door as if he was about to get caught for watching something he’s not suppose to watch.

He calmed himself before opening the door. It was Lisanna. She’s a simple crop top and ripped jeans with the same shoulder bag he gave her during christmas. She politely came in and looked around his room, “Messy as usual.” she observed, playfully looking at Natsu. He only glared in return.

“I told you not to come here anymore.” He hisses. Lisanna, as if ignoring him, picks up a pair of clothing and sniffs them. Ack! What the hell? was her first thoughts, backing away and giving Natsu a sour expression, “Why does these smell like this?” He stands up and snatches the clothing away from her.

“Can you leave if you just came here to bug me?” He throws the clothing on the laundry basket and digs through his cabinet for a shirt.

“Geez, you’re always on your period.” She mumbles before browsing his closet for clothes. She throws a pair of pants and a red polo in his face before slamming the door saying, “Take a bath and change. You reek. Lucy’s gonna arrive soon.”

His ears suddenly perked up at the mention of her name. Lucy? Coming? Hah, impossible!

“You’re bluffing, Lisanna! You just want me to take a bath because I didn’t take one yesterday!”

“Am not!”

“And gross!” She instantly adds, muffled against the door barrier.

He crosses his arms while she continues, “Fine! Don’t take a bath, I’m sure Lucy won’t even go near you once she arrives!”

He groans but took his towel anyway. Even inside the bathroom, Natsu can’t help but let his thoughts drift to his childhood crush.

Slam.

She’s just my friend!

AHA! A friend you kissed with so much passion!

He comes out maybe after 5 minutes and slides into the clothes Lisanna picked out for him. He combs his hair and dries it with a fan and a towel. Somehow, he felt nervous-- like how he felt the same way when he went on his first date with Lisanna.

Date?

Sure, if you count getting dragged into a movie with a drunk friend.

He reaches for his hair gel but it turned out to be empty. He groans. He walks over infront of the mirror and scans at himself. What he sees before him... It didn’t look him.

It was like a new him, a new Natsu-- but not really since it’s still the same him. Did you get it?

His head aches and he immediately clutches it with another groan.

He comes out of the house to see Lisanna by his neighbor’s lawn, chatting happily with his neighbor, Bickslow. When she notices Natsu’s presence, he sees her wave goodbye to the blacked haired fellow. Then, she turns around and trotts her way towards him, “Ready?”

“What choice do I have?”

She rolls her eyes and playfully punches his shoulder, “You could’ve just ignored me and never dressed up, but look at you,” She motions his body with her hands, her eyes checking him out much to his annoyance, “My baby’s all grown up.” She wipes a fake tear and pouts at him. He rolled his eyes. Just then, her phone vibrates with a new text.

While her ocean-hue eyes scans over the message, she grips on his wrist and leads him to the rainbow sakura park. With every step he takes comes memories attacking him. Some good, some bad-- mostly great.

They eventually see Erza along with the others surrounding a particular tree. Wait, isn’t that...

“Natsu!” Erza yelled, eagerly motionong her hands to come over. Lisanna lets go of his wrist and runs away to who knows where with her phone.

“Well, it’s about time you got here.” Gray greets him with a glare, “We all thought you chickened out.” He said, smirking while Loki snickered in the background.

Erza smacks his head, “Knock it off, Gray. She’s probably arriving soon. Guys, prepare yourselves already,” Natsu just stands awkwardly in the center. Gray’s putting decorations on the tree’s branches, Loki’s throwing glitter everywhere (um... Yeah whatever makes him happy) and Erza’s putting the tarpaulin that has a picture of a certain blonde.

“Natsu! Help out!” The redhead shouts. He winces and basically trips on his way to her, grabbing the other end of the tarpaulin and pining it to the tree.

He heard very deep and quick pants and when he turned around, he sees Lucy’s other girl best friend, Levy, running towards their spot.

She finally got there and panted heavily, “S-she’s coming!” Everyone stopped doing what they were doing and turned to her. They blinked, unsure of what she just squeaked out.

“She’s what?” Gray asked. Levy wobbled towards him and panted in his ear, “She’s--”

“Hey guys.”

Erza almost fainted.

“Lisanna, don’t scare us like that! We all thought you were Lucy!” The blue-eyed girl laughed, “I saw her with Mirajane. They’re already heading this way.” Everyone hid behind the tree while Erza shoved a bouquet on Natsu’s arms. The salmon-haired fellow had a very confused expression. And when he processed what was about to happen, he shoved it back to her.

“If you think I still like her then you’re wrong.” She glared at him while he glared back (even though he was already shreaking inside.) She soon sighed (much to his relief) and turned to Gray who backed away in fear, “Nuh-uh.”

She faced Natsu with a very scary expression when they heard soft chattering. She pushed Gray and Natsu with the bouquet of flower and they ended up falling into each other’s chest. Levy and Loki snickered.

“Woah, Natsu? Gray? Don't tell me you're doing what I think you're doing...” Behind the tree, you can see Loki and Levy trying to prevent themselves from snorting. Erza was too busy stalking the three to scold them.

Natsu saw a hand outstretched for him and when he was pulled back up, that’s when he saw her; Lucy. Lucy. Her hair... it's so much longer now, and her eyes-- they're still in the same chocolute hue. Oh and don't even get me started with her-- what?

She helped the other guy stand up and then turn to Natsu with a smile.

Gray cringed in return, “What exactly were you thinking, Lucy?” She instantly blushed and scratched her neck, "Do you really want to know?"

Natsu and Gray paled and backed away, "On second thoughts, no thanks," The black-haired dude mumbled.

Picking up the scattered flowers, the two of them then split and basically shoved it in Lucy's face.

Everyone went out of their hiding places and suprised her with a very loud, “Welcome back!” Loki basically pounced on her, as well as Erza and Levy.

Lisanna (coming out of nowhere) and Mirajane then pulled out a picnic mat along with some food. Erza was the first to sit down, clearly excited to get a taste of her favorite strawberry cake. Everyone took their places, Lucy and Lisanna sitting inbetween Natsu (much to his dismay). As he grabbed a plate-- and woah! What a friggin' coincidence! Lucy was about to grab one too!

Her hands felt warm against his, and it only took a matter of seconds for him to realize and pull his hand away with a glare, a heating sensation visible on his cheeks. Lisanna snickered as she nudged him. He turned to her with a glare and she continued snorting.

"Lisanna, are you alright?" Her sister turned to her with concern.

"Never better!" She replies happily, a dangerous spark in her eyes.
